Master Of None

Chapter 2925. Much Larger

”What do you mean it was a dragon too powerful?” The way that Walker had begun mumbling after Remey and Su heard him answer that it was a dragon made them worried. They didn’t often see Walker making an expression of worry like this.

His face told them that he was not sure at all how and what he had actually just seen.

’Elemental star dragon

This dragon is one of the most ancient dragons with a split bloodline tree from the pure blooded true core dragons known for being the most capable dragons within the outer planes.

These ancient dragons spend their lives traveling between grand !J@##G making themselves able to consume %$HF%#. Their reliance on the very laws of a singular elemental mana cause them to appear in forms that others can easily understand due to the singularity of their mana.

When they take the form of that mana they appear to be a meteor or star of that mana. It is possible to gather unique materials that gather on their body when they pass by, they often cause those materials to be left in larger deposits. This is also why scavengers will follow them hunting for these materials...’

Walker wished to learn more but every single time he looked back at the appraisal he found himself unable to understand a lot of the language. Not because he didn’t know the worlds, but also because he could not fathom what they might actually mean.

”You can’t understand it... Then it’s too far beyond what we can understand together too.” Since Su knew that Walker didn’t understand this she would not try too hard herself. However, she knew that the other two also understood that they had witnessed something that didn’t happen often because of the sheer size and rarity of this ancient being. They just had to be thankful that they were so far away.

”You said materials fall off of its body, should we look?” Since Remey understood the limits of what they could see at their strength, she decided to focus on the thing that made sense. The materials.

”I could look, but there might be monsters scavenging behind it. They could be stronger than what we really know. They might be ancient monsters that follow that dragon for years.” Walker felt the mana in the distance shift, like something had just tried to move to the area but found themselves halted. The space was too tough.

”Something is already trying to move this way but just got stopped, I think that ancient dragon is keeping everything around it halted so it’s not bothered.” Walker realized that he couldn’t use space mana right now either. It wasn’t suppressed, just stable because the light mana that was drifting nearby was held calm and stable to the point that it made a stable environment for space as a whole.

”I will try though.” Walker kept himself still before using what manas he could to burst forward. Su and Remey wanted to smack him on the head for leaving them so suddenly, but it was what it was. They knew he was just taking a look and was going to be back in an instant.

The distance seemed to be stranger too. Walker knew he moved a greater distance, but felt like a hand had pushed him forward with how quickly he moved. It might have been the stability in the space or not, but it was something he noticed.

He didn’t put a lot of thought in to it though, he saw the light mana crystals floating about the space. Perfectly pure and balanced shapes, even some naturally formed round mana pearls, something he had no idea could form in such perfection.

Snapping them up quickly, Walker felt more mana vibrate, this time it was light mana and it came with a snapping sound from the distance. The snapping of hard teeth trying to chomp down on whatever they could.

It was why he started to move away again, but not before he grabbed a few pieces of what might be plants.

”And he’s back in just a couple minutes even though he ditched us to go have a look.” The harsh glare from Remey was exactly what Su was giving him too.

”There are already monsters following the trail, I grabbed a few mana crystals and light mana pearls, they are perfect. It’s like every single impurity was removed from it, but the entire area is still covered in light mana too.” He knew that the mana would dissipate, but the movement of monsters was not good.

”And there is this, it’s like moss I think.”

They watched Walker appraise the crystal like mossy lump that could be called a chunk of earth with its size. They also heard the awe in his voice while he read it to them and himself for the first time.

’Ancient light essence moss

While rarer due to the environment, the light essence moss is often discovered in areas that have had constant pure light mana for over five thousand years. They will sometimes be found living on unique mana crystals and clusters of mana pearls. They are often found on the bodies of the crushing light behemoths that consume entire light elemental planes.

It’s an invaluable plant that could be grown as alchemy ingredient, medicinal herb harvesting crop, nutritional supplement for light affinity beasts, forging material,...

It is extremely tough to grow due to the strict pure light mana requirements. Anyone who grows it needs to meet strict requirements as...

It will be in a dormant halted state whenever it is not in an ideal environment, this requirement leads to it drifting in to other areas of elemental mana and becoming fossilized or altered in to a dead state. When in an active state and ideal environment, its crystal like light elemental sprouts are in constant movement...’

It was an amazing material and plant. But having such strict requirements for growth made it extremely challenging to be able to nourish. It would also make it impossible to grow right now, since no one in Genesis could be called a master at growing this specific plant.

It was well beyond the highest level of what anyone had even tried to grow so far.

”This is a big deal...” in Remey’s eyes, this was a relic or gem. Not only was it a potential herb that could make spectacular potions, it was more versatile in other aspects of usefulness. ”This could put everything Genesis is growing toward perspective.”

”We are very small.” Su saw what Remey was thinking and how far they truly had to go.

Everyone in Genesis was working hard and making larger leaps forward than ever before. It was amazing always how far pale had come.

But, they didn’t even know the level that people could go if they pushed for generations from today. How high they could still climb.

”We don’t have to tell them all the details, but we can give them this moss and see if someone will one day take the right path to get there. We can gather things like this and let them start to move toward goals they can’t even fathom. Because when they do understand it, they will be strong enough for it.”

The three all had their own thoughts on this, but Walker had already started to change his focus and look at the open space they had. He also focused on the small fire elemental plane that they could begin working on with more clarity.

”You have an idea now, don’t you?” Catching on to that look, Su was ready to watch the show.

”Well, the way the alchemy fire elemental plane was broken down, those monsters went after the more specific core parts that helped keep the plane together. If I focus on that and instead of condensing the fire and the space mana to it and push them together, then maybe it will work out exactly as we want.”

The idea was sound but neither Remey nor Su had any idea of how he ended up gathering that point. Then again, Walker’s methodology in these things don’t make any sense in the first place.

”You already pushed together and condensed the fire crystals inside it, so they should be mailable right? What if I added some alchemy flames to help mold them? It works with materials and they are technically materials. I use it to make some fertilizing nutrient potions.”

”That’s, a great idea.” Walker hadn’t considered this as an option. It made sense though, and since Remey was under less pressure, she could help manipulate the mana with Walker this time.

”We shouldn’t have as much to handle on the monster side of things, so do you need my help?” They had somewhat been in the perfect position for this so Su joining in too much be ideal. She had natural resistance that could allow her to handle the pressure of escaping mana or changing space. She could be an anchor for them.
