Starting Cultivation in Wasteland

Chapter 976: Chapter 842: Digital Battleship

Normally, the firepower carried by a fire support ship is enough to destroy Qu Jianlei’s fleet.

Besides the diverse weaponry and concentrated firepower, the key lies in the multiple types of tracking weapons onboard.

Of course, the corresponding attack power is only ”theoretical,” and specific operations are another matter.

In fact, such ships also have shortcomings; their defense capabilities aren’t very strong, making them vulnerable to sieges.

However, this ”not very strong” is relative to its attack power; at least it’s stronger than the defensive capability of standard warships.

Little Lake can maneuver the starship to dodge flexibly, but to deal with those tracking weapons, it must deploy decoy shells and intercept.

In short, the appearance of such a warship significantly increases the pressure on Qu Jianlei’s fleet.

This pressure may not manifest in tangible lethality, but its suppression and control over the overall battle situation are extraordinary.

Immediately after, worse news came, Paranoid recognized the last two warships.

”Those are digital logic battleships... Have they finally been put into practical use?”

Digital logic battleships... Qu Jianlei was speechless. They actually brought out such weapons, making it hard to compete!

Fortunately, their breakout direction was precisely where one of the digital logic battleships was located.

Later, they learned that this warship was primarily used for capturing starships of the ”Thunderbolt type,” with weak offensive power.

This doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous. In fact, in battle teams, roles supporting are often more troublesome than attackers.

Yet very unfortunately, it was chosen as the first attack target by Qu Jianlei.

Although the Thunderbolt-type warship’s functionality is phenomenal, and its protection very solid, second only to the Space-Air Carrier, when faced with concentrated enemy fire, there’s really no rationale to speak of.

After the intensive shelling, the Thunderbolt-type warship was immediately disabled.

Although the damage wasn’t severe, Little Lake’s command was very precise, directly knocking out the opponent’s power system.

As a starship capable of space travel, this warship has a backup power system.

However, during the power transition, an Assault Ship, disregarding its own safety, rushed forward and delivered the strongest blow.

As the Thunderbolt-type warship was powered down, this Assault Ship was also completely destroyed, turning into scattered space debris.

At just one contact, both sides suffered such battle damages; it’s predictable how brutal this battle will be.

The opponent’s small ships flew out one after another, feeling like they’ve stirred up a hornet’s nest.

Under Little Lake’s precise control, the remaining five small ships flexibly engaged in dogfights with the opponent.

However, the numerical gap was too large, and no matter how strong the micro operations, defeat was only a matter of time.

The five larger starships could help deal with the small warships, but they themselves faced tremendous trouble.

The fire support ship launched a comprehensive attack on them, requiring the five starships to dodge and intercept relevant attacks.

Deploying decoy shells doesn’t consume much computing power and can be negligible.

However, there’s another problem, the number of decoy shells is limited, and many attacks don’t fall for the decoys.

The decoy shells reserved by Qu Jianlei far exceeded the standard configuration for warships, so the pressure isn’t too great for now.

But disappointingly, the three completely unmanned warships have limited reserves of decoy shells.

Luckily, the fire support ship also targeted 8384—this ragged starship might be the flagship.

Therefore, the 8384 ship endured the most attacks.

After a rapid analysis, Little Lake concluded, ”We have to infiltrate their data; otherwise, we’ll suffer heavy losses.”

In fact, heavy losses are lighter; if the other three ambushed warships can’t arrive in time, the entire army might be wiped out.

Qu Jianlei furrowed his brow, ”But completely annihilating the opponent... is very difficult!”

If the opponent can’t be entirely annihilated, the consequences would be severe, comparable to the exposure of Tribulation Thunder.

At this moment, an enemy small ship was hit and exploded violently—scattering and flying everywhere.

The rotation speed of Big Head Butterfly accelerated again—thanks to 8384’s twenty million computing units, otherwise, it would be insufficient.

The next moment, it exclaimed with delight, ”The opponent’s attack ships are also unmanned!”

”Damn...” Qu Jianlei muttered softly, then quickly reacted.

”So, does the opponent also have artificial intelligence?”

”That’s right!” Little Lake replied crisply, ”I said it—a digital logic battleship... By what right can they call it that?”

Qu Jianlei didn’t overthink, and very straightforwardly questioned, ”Confident enough to outmatch them?”

”I’ve never been afraid of anyone,” Little Lake’s voice was soft, but that overflowing confidence truly couldn’t be contained.

Yet immediately after, regrettably, it added, ”Unfortunately, the 3344 ship is still on the way... sigh, restricted by computing power again.”

Gao Fang’s warships are installed with fifty million computing units, far more powerful than these twenty million.

”A bit of a misstep,” Qu Jianlei murmured softly, ”But there’s nothing to be done.”

The tattered 8384 is the symbol of the Rhodiola rosea team, while 3344 represents another force.

Qu Jianlei didn’t want to discard two pseudonyms simultaneously, so he chose this combination... which was inevitable.

However, now is not the right time for a review. He straightforwardly issued the command, ”Launch the electromagnetic interference bomb, fully invade!”

At this moment, he even saved the use of tracer bullets for cover, he must take a gamble to bury the opponent entirely in space!

Even if there might be some who slip through the net, he must try — he has artificial intelligence, they do too, big brother don’t laugh at the second brother!

”Electromagnetic interference bomb!” Someone on the opposite side discovered something unusual, ”Did they recognize our digital battleship?”

Their digital battleship is the latest model from the Imperial, in fact, old models of digital battleships rarely appear on the battlefield.

However, even the latest model, electromagnetic interference bombs can still cause certain effects, determined by physical characteristics.

But they didn’t mind, instead issued a logic attack command, ”...It just increases the difficulty a bit.”

The opponent just issued an attack, and Little Lake keenly sensed it, ”Components have been eroded, and data attempts to invade!”

”It should be the digital battleship,” Qu Jianlei blinked twice, a bit puzzled in his heart, ”Why start now?”

Meanwhile, on the opponent’s digital battleship, alarm sounds also rang out.

”Alarm, alarm, abnormal data stream detected, abnormal data stream detected!”

The alarm made the captain of the digital battleship quite confused, ”Abnormal data stream... Is it a modified electromagnetic interference bomb?”

At first, he didn’t even consider that the opponent might also have artificial intelligence!

However, not long after, several small ships were successively shot down due to losing control, which alerted the digital battleship’s crew.

”Even a modified electromagnetic interference bomb can’t cause such a big impact on quantum entangled communications, right?”

Some even began to speculate, ”Could it be... Could the opponent also have artificial intelligence?”

Speculation quickly turned into reality, as the central control room again issued an alarm.

”Warning, warning, there is an abnormal data stream attempting to invade, there is an abnormal data stream attempting to invade!”

Little Lake could initially invade more stealthily, but the battle was too intense, the opportunity fleeting, leaving it no time to hesitate.

And the electromagnetic interference bomb itself is a double-edged sword, causing the electromagnetic environment on site to be unusually complex, necessitating increased invasion strength.

The captain’s face changed upon hearing this, ”Strengthen the logic fortress defense, continuously monitor opponent progress, analyze intelligence level and computational power!”

He immediately reported the new situation and requested guidance for the next step.

The fleet commander was shocked upon hearing this, ”All ships strengthen digital defense, fully activate computational power, strive to crush the opponent!”

However, merely enhancing defense is not enough. In the fierce digital confrontation, Little Lake fully activated computational power, the attacks were relentless.

Big Head Butterfly had already morphed into a spindle shape, the temperature of twenty million computing units soared, and the smell of sunlight permeated the air.

Qu Jianlei could only choose to cool it manually, fortunately, his proficiency in Ice Magic was considerable.

The opposing five starships were still struggling to withstand data intrusion, but those small ships were tragic, getting destroyed one by one.

After continuously exploding more than ten small ships, the opponent finally couldn’t stand it, ”Why is their computational power so strong?”

This issue remains about the nature of the warship, digital battleships... In fact, can be equipped with large-scale computing units.

But such configurations have not been moved onto digital battleships; instead, similar experiments were conducted on civilian starships.

Ultimately, involving the term ”warship,” it must serve war purposes, making stability and durability the primary conditions!

Large-scale computing units are quite delicate, requiring high environmental standards for their operation.

Just think about how Qu Jianlei can place fifty million computing units on a starship, this cost alone matches up with a tenth of the starship’s price.

It’s just that he has no choice, having to tough it out. If he had three alternatives, he wouldn’t risk so recklessly.

Of course, speaking of recklessness, the military is by no means less daring and even stronger.

However, inappropriate design and configuration of warships, leading to significant losses, demand responsibility!

The major losses mentioned here, including but not limited to the digital battleship itself, could impact an entire fleet or even the entire battle situation!

Such huge accountability, even if someone dares to undertake it boldly, others must agree!

The opponent has realized that their computational power cannot keep up with the other side.

As for the superiority of artificial intelligence... They haven’t even considered it.

Not out of confidence in themselves, but frankly... lack of confidence!

The military’s artificial intelligence is not even as good as that of the Customs Enforcement Division, the headquarters’ artificial intelligence is strong, but subsidiary intelligence on warships is weak.

Speaking of reasons, it’s still because of those two words — warship!

Currently, their warship can withstand invasion, not because of high intelligence level, but because hardware and logic fortress are strong enough.

Emphasizing defense capability is definitely crucial.
