Open the chests!

Three golden chests—not opening them would be criminal.

Even if his luck wasn’t exactly stellar...

Three chests. All gold-tier.

There was no way they’d all spit out trash, right?

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, you have obtained:

Naruto World — Dōjutsu: Byakugan!]

[Item has been automatically stored in inventory. You may fuse it at any time.]

...Huh?

A dōjutsu from the Naruto world?

The Byakugan?

The one from Naruto’s wife’s clan?

Hold on—

the first golden chest already gave him this?

Was that really appropriate?

The Naruto world was, strictly speaking, a low-dimensional setting—

not even remotely on the same framework as the Honkai universe.

If he had to compare, there was barely any point.

Chakra, after all, couldn’t even come close to the scale of the Sea of Quanta.

But then another thought crossed Evan’s mind.

What if—

What if he used Imaginary energy instead of chakra to drive a dōjutsu?

Wouldn’t that lead to... very different results?

In the Naruto world, there were countless ocular abilities:

Byakugan.

Sharingan.

Rinnegan.

And if you really split hairs—

Red Eyes, special pupils, white pupils, Chidori Sharingan, Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan...

Rinne Sharingan, Tomoe Rinnegan, Jōgan, Blood Dragon Eyes, Dark Eyes...

There were even things like Pure Vision and the Eye of Rebirth.

Not to mention hybrid bloodlines—

like the so-called Clear Sight Eye, formed from the fusion of the Hyuga and Uzumaki lineages,

which was even stronger than the Byakugan.

Still—

Byakugan.

According to the Book of Rin:

A white eye passed down through the Hyuga clan, capable of seeing through everything.

But honestly...

What was he supposed to do with x-ray vision?

And if he remembered correctly, activating it made the veins around the eyes bulge out.

Ugly.

Yeah—no thanks.

Straight into the warehouse to collect dust.

Evan’s gaze shifted to the second golden chest.

Another gold-tier reward.

Now this one had to be decent, right?

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, you have obtained:

Date A Live World — Angel of Time: Zafkiel (刻刻帝)!]

[This item’s components are scattered across other treasure chests in the universe.]

[Current chest provides access to two bullets.]

[Bullet I · Aleph — Accelerates the target’s time flow; enables instant movement.]

[Bullet VII · Zayin — Stops the target’s time.]

...Tokisaki Kurumi’s Zafkiel?

Evan’s eyes lit up immediately.

Now this—this was good.

Across the entire universe, there was currently no Path that truly governed time.

And yet this weapon?

It clearly interfered with time itself.

Owning this was practically the same as holding temporal authority.

Of course, for certain reasons, ℯ

Zafkiel’s twelve bullets had been scattered across different planets.

Only by collecting all twelve could one unlock its complete form.

But even just these two—

One for rapid movement.

One for time stop.

That alone was absurd.

On the battlefield, these abilities were priceless.

Even if he ran into Hoolay,

or other Emanators like Phantylia or Starcrusher—

It wasn’t impossible to fight back.

Could he reconstruct something like this using his own authority?

...Later.

He still had one more chest to open.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, you have obtained:

XXXX — Elation: Mask!]

[Ohoho~ Interesting, little one!

Which mask do you like best?]

[This is a message left by a certain Aeon.]

The moment the third chest opened—

Evan froze.

This wasn’t a skill.

Not a weapon.

Not even a blueprint.

There was only one item inside.

A mask.

Yes—just a mask.

And the strangest part?

It had no color at all.

As if it had never been painted.

Evan’s expression slowly turned... complicated.

Wait—

Why was there something left behind by the Elation Aeon inside a treasure chest?

This thing felt like it had been deliberately left for him.

This—this—this—

That bastard.

This was definitely Sparkle’s fault.

Amber Era — Stellar Calendar XXX

A Star Rail train sped through the universe.

Akivili,

Emanator of Elation.

Aha,

Emanator of Trailblaze.

At this very moment—

They were plotting something big.

As the strongest Emanator under the Elation Aeon, Akivili readily agreed.

After all—

Any act of Elation was also a form of Trailblazing.

And any Trailblazing joke could, in turn, nourish the Path of Elation.

And so—

The two hit it off immediately.

Their plan?

Blow up the train.

At the very least, blow up one carriage.

When Elation and Trailblaze joined forces,

even Pom-Pom was powerless to stop them.

But just as the plan was about to begin—

Aha suddenly noticed something even more amusing.

And so—

Aha left a mask behind on the train.

”What are you doing?”

Akivili asked curiously.

”You’re about to blow up the train, and you still want to leave traces behind?”

”That’s not very Elation of you.”

”Looking for fun, obviously,” Aha shot back.

”Are you the Elation Aeon, or am I?”

”Why does it feel like you’re having more fun than me?”

”Of course it’s me!”

”You fake Elation Aeon!”

”Pah! You’re the fake Trailblaze Aeon!”

”Pah!”

Two Aeons—

spitting at each other like children.
