Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Glancing at the time, it was still before noon; this simulation hadn’t consumed much time.

Lin Ye began to examine the loot.

The Divine Seat did not appear in the center of the Shelter; it seemed to have already merged with him.

Lin Ye picked up the boxed teammate that Mr. Gray had given him.

[Gregory’s Life]

[An exceptionally excellent material, can be used to craft spiritual energy items]

[Note: The proper ending]

“As expected of D-Class personnel, always lively.”

Lin Ye then took the card that the Holy Maiden had given him.

[Identity Card – Holy Maiden][Can obtain Holy Maiden identity in certain events]

[Note: Exclusive to survivor Lin Ye, non-transferable]

Lin Ye: ???

“What the heck is this?”

The card depicted a girl wearing an elaborate ceremonial dress with a blurred face, appearing both noble and sacred.

Lin Ye put away the card and looked at the last system notification; he didn’t think he would use this card.

[Deity]

[Sitting on the Divine Seat, all beings understand its meaning]

[Note: Never before has such a weak deity appeared]

“…Really inexperienced.”

Lin Ye muttered.

After organizing his gains, Lin Ye took out the Game Room Invitation. There was still some time before evening; he planned to check out what the Game Room was all about.

“Although it’s a safe zone, to prevent accidents, better bring my gear.”

Fully armed and with his backpack ready, Lin Ye used the invitation.

After using it, the invitation disappeared, and so did the fully armed Lin Ye.

………………

The Game Room wasn’t a single room but a massive gaming arena made up of multiple game rooms. Each room had a game, and participating required paying an entrance fee, which could be red coins, spiritual energy items, or even the survivor themselves. Winning the game would return the entrance fee and grant game rewards.

Lin Ye was not the only survivor here; after all, tens of thousands lived in one area, so someone would always get an invitation. From observation, Lin Ye found that survivors coming here were basically those who had traded with him, the best-connected group in the chat.

There were many game rooms, but at this time, few survivors had obtained and used their invitations. Lin Ye didn’t purposely talk to others, so no one recognized him as Lin Ye.

Survivors could leave the Game Room at any time, and there was no clear time limit, but if they didn’t participate for a long time, they would be teleported back to the Shelter.

Lin Ye found a blackjack table and sat down. The entrance fee was any number of red coins; winning would grant the same number of red coins as the fee.

“One coin.”

Lin Ye placed his ticket on the table. He didn’t like gambling, but card games suited him well. One red coin could let him play all day.

Of course, Lin Ye didn’t plan to waste so much time here. After completing today’s two spiritual energy cycles, he would return to the Shelter to continue studying runes.

The spiritual energy concentration in the Game Room was average; Lin Ye spent nearly two hours completing two cycles. However, during that time, he won 54 red coins.

Although he didn’t like gambling, Lin Ye was really good at cards.

The room’s owner was a masked woman dressed provocatively. During the game, she kept urging Lin Ye to raise his bet, but at the time, Lin Ye was focused on cycling and ignored her.

Afterwards, her play style became noticeably aggressive, but it didn’t affect the outcome much. As long as Lin Ye didn’t raise the bet, he was already unbeatable.

This was a win-win: completing daily cycles while earning some pocket money.

Just as Lin Ye put away his ticket, preparing to leave under the owner’s resentful gaze, a voice called out to him.

“Sir, do you need a Game Room Access Card?”

The speaker was a handsome young man dressed as a waiter.

“What’s the difference between the access card and the invitation?”

Lin Ye asked.

“The access card can be used multiple times, and some special games require the access card to participate.”

The man smiled.

“How can I get the access card?”

Lin Ye wasn’t interested in special games, but he needed to come here every day to cycle spiritual energy.

“This is a Game Room; of course, you get it by playing games.”

The man’s smile grew wider, seeming very satisfied with Lin Ye’s answer.

Lin Ye returned a similar smile and then left the Game Room without hesitation.

He didn’t have to absorb spiritual energy in the Game Room.

When the possible cost greatly exceeds the gain, the trade cannot be made.

So Lin Ye didn’t waste more time.

Back at the Shelter, the nun was still kneeling silently in her original spot.

[Obtained Game Room Access Card gifted by the waiter]

“Heh heh.”

Lin Ye glanced at the system introduction for the card.

[Game Room Access Card]

[Using the access card grants entry to the Game Room]

[Note: Only VIPs of the Game Room can obtain the access card, symbolizing status]

Putting away the access card, Lin Ye continued studying protection runes and took out the black robe from the pile of miscellaneous items, attempting to inscribe protection runes on it.

The black robe was made of a spiritual energy-resistant material. Lin Ye had previously treated it as trash and tossed it into the pile. Now it was put to good use.

Since the Shelter had no spiritual energy, Lin Ye could only use the spiritual energy from the crystals to sketch the runes.

Although the spiritual energy inside was chaotic and unsuitable for absorption, it was perfectly usable for rune inscription.

At first, the rune inscription didn’t go smoothly. Using runes and inscribing runes on items were two completely different skills. After several failures, Lin Ye finally succeeded in carving a protection rune on the black robe.

Lin Ye tested it; as long as spiritual energy was injected into the rune, it could trigger spiritual energy protection. However, once triggered, the rune would dissipate.

Lin Ye inscribed the rune again and then cut off the cloth with the rune using a dagger.

[Simple Protection Item]

[Activates spiritual energy protection when triggered, loses effect after one use]

[Note: Can add (must be accurate item-related information)]

“Can I add notes too?”

Lin Ye thought for a moment and added a note.

[Simple Protection Item]

[Activates spiritual energy protection when triggered, loses effect after one use]

[Note: Made by Lin Ye]

Until the Nighttime Activity started, Lin Ye stayed focused on studying runes.

He had already dismantled the black robe into scraps. Although he failed many times during the process, he still made over a dozen simple protection items.

[Nighttime Activity Begins]

[Tonight’s Event: Carnival Feast]

[Join?]

[09:59]

“Ah?”

Although he already knew there were other Nighttime Activities, Lin Ye hadn’t expected to encounter one so soon.

“Could it be that the remaining four days each have one event?”

Lin Ye had a strong premonition that this was very likely.

Opening the group chat, it was already buzzing.

“Another new event?”

“Boss Lin, any news about this event?”
