Alchemy Emperor of the Divine Dao

Chapter 3814: Contesting for the position of captain

An old man walked out from the Holy Land. He looked to be in his sixties.

He was extremely powerful, and he had to be at least at the True Self Tier. He was like a sun as he stood there, attracting everyone’s attention.

“The test is very simple. You guys will be divided into groups first, with every ten people forming a team. Then, you’ll be sent to the Barbaric Star Xing. Ferocious beasts rampage there, and it’s an incomparably desolate land. You guys have ten days to hunt ferocious beasts and killing different ferocious beasts will gain you different points.”

“Points will be recorded for the team. Ten days later, the remaining people in the team will share their points evenly. Those ranked in the top hundred can become the disciples of the Holy Land.”

“Let me explain in detail.”

“Before you all enter into the Barbaric Planet, each of you will receive a special connection device. This was created by our Holy Land, and is only limited to the seven great planets in the territory of our Holy Land.”

“On the Barbaric Planet, you all cannot harm your competitors, but can plunder and destroy the connecting devices of your opponents.”

“Once you lose the connection device, it means that you have failed this selection.”

“Additionally, at least three members have to be retained on the team. Otherwise, no matter how high the score is, they would all be eliminated.”

“Additionally, the connecting devices can only communicate with the members of the small team at present, and ask for help from the Holy Land – if you encounter a ferocious beast that is too powerful, and endanger your lives, you can ask for help, but once you ask for help, you will be eliminated.”

“All right, let’s begin the grouping.”

The groupings were very simple. They were not drawing lots, but rather following the order in which they had previously obtained the entry plaque.

In this way, Ling Han would have to separate from the empress and the others, and the empress, Hu Niu, the large black dog, and the babies would have a high chance of being in the same group, if it was coincidental.

“You guys be careful. If you encounter danger, there’s no harm in asking for help. Safety first,” Ling Han said.

“En.” The empress and Hu Niu both nodded.

However, the Cauldron Forging Tier and Foundation Building Tier cultivators were screened separately. Though they were all entering the Barbaric Planet, Foundation Building Tier and Cauldron Forging Tier cultivators would definitely not be placed in the same group. Thus, even if Ling Han, the empress, and the others had gotten the entry plaque together at the time, there was still nothing that could be done.

The masses began to divide into groups, and very quickly, groups of ten were formed. The Foundation Building Tier cultivators and the Cauldron Forging Tier cultivators entered the Transfer Formation respectively. As the light surged, they immediately disappeared. Transfer was done in small teams, and the destination of each transfer was random. However, the Foundation Building Tier cultivators were all in the southern hemisphere, while the Cauldron Forging Tier cultivators were in the northern hemisphere. There were formations separating them, and it was definitely impossible for them to communicate with each other. Ling Han was ranked very far behind. He had finally reached his turn after waiting for about an hour, and he stepped into the Transfer Formation with his nine teammates. With a flash of light, they had already arrived on another planet.

The Barbaric Planet was a planet without a sea. Its surface was covered with an incredibly dense primitive forest, and the tall trees were even three thousand meters tall, taller than some mountains.

The group of ten appeared under a large tree. The ground was covered with thick fallen leaves, soft and limp. Even if they fell, they would not be injured.

“Let’s choose a captain first!” A young man in blue robes was the first to speak up, “My name is Luo Shan, and I am a Bright Moon Divine Physique. I hope that I can lead everyone into the top hundred.”

“Hehe, a mere fifth grade Divine Physique cultivator actually dares to be so confident?” a man in green said disdainfully. He raised his thumb and pointed at himself, “Ma Gang, Heaven Cauldron Tier, Golden Celestial Cauldron!”

“You guys had best stand aside!” Another person stepped out, “Huang Lingyun, ranked 8532nd on the Galaxy Network!”

Whatever Innate Divine Physique, Golden Celestial Cauldron were all empty words. Cultivation depended on abilities, and the ranking on the Galaxy Network was the best proof of that.

With Huang Lingyun’s words, the two people from before immediately shut up obediently. “Hehe, what a coincidence.” A young man with long flowing hair shook his head, “Mu Long, ranked 8366th in the Galaxy Network.”

Shua! Huang Lingyun immediately looked over, and said with a smile, “Then I’ll have to ask for some guidance.”

“Come!” Mu Long naturally would not cower. The two of them leaped out, and began a great battle.

Fighting here naturally meant having no scruples, but what was shocking was that those great trees were very, very sturdy. Furthermore, their leaves also had a very strong absorption effect. Thus, though a large portion of the surrounding trees had fallen, their destructive power was also contained in this area.

Otherwise, if two Cauldron Forging Tier elites battled fiercely, the surrounding mountains would all be flattened.

Ling Han yawned, and did not go and watch the battle between Huang Lingyun and Mu Long, because the strongest in the team was not them at all. In fact, they could not even be ranked in

the top three.

He looked towards a person. That was an astonishingly sturdy man. Sitting there, he was not much shorter than an ordinary person standing, like he was a small mountain, and from within his body, Ling Han could see an incredibly vigorous power. His whole person was like a furnace that could burn the heavens and destroy the earth.

Aside from this sturdy man, there was also a young man in purple robes. He was tall and slender, and had a graceful bearing, possessing a carefree air that was above the mortal world.

This person should not be weak either. The others were only so-so.

He was thinking about the rules created by the Nine Suns Holy Land. There were ten people in a group, yet in the end, they still had to share the points equally. What if more of them were burdens? Wouldn’t that implicate the entire team?

However, there was also another rule, and that was that even their own people could be kicked out. They only had to destroy the connection device of the other party.

Then could he directly suppress the number of team members to the lowest limit of three?

Unless it could be guaranteed that the connection devices of the three of them would not be lost, even if two of them could sweep aside all opposition and be invincible, they would still

be eliminated in the end.

Thus, this rule was quite interesting.

As he mulled over this, the battle between Huang Lingyun and Mu Long also came to a stop. After all, this was only a battle for the position of captain, and the right to have a say. There was no need for them to use their trump card.

Furthermore, more importantly, this was to probe the background of every member of the team. Whom they needed to rope in, and who they needed to give up, so as not to hold them

back.

After a short battle, Huang Lingyun and his opponent both acknowledged each other’s strength.

The victor was Mu Long.

“No one has any objections to me becoming the captain, right?” Mu Long asked calmly. He walked in front of Ma Gang, and asked, “Do you yield?”

Ma Gang’s expression changed. In the end, he still lowered his head, and said, “I concede.”

He had watched the battle between Huang Lingyun and Mu Long, and his battle prowess was indeed superior to his. He had no choice but to admit defeat.

“Do you yield?” Mu Long asked Luo Shan again.

“I concede.”

A satisfied smile appeared on Mu Long’s face, and he turned to the third person, “Do you

yield?”

“I concede.”

“Do you yield?”

“I concede.”

“⤦”

It wasn’t long before five people in the team nodded in agreement. Taking into account the defeated Huang Lingyun, only Ling Han, the sturdy man, and the young man in purple were

left.

“Do you yield?” Mu Long arrived in front of the sturdy man.

“I do not.” The sturdy man raised his head. His hair was disheveled, and his face was covered

with stubble. He was also wearing animal hide, and looked like a wild man.

Mu Long was taken aback. He was not conceding?

“He, then I will make you concede defeat!” He stretched out a hand to grab the sturdy man.
