Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1458: Chapter 1457: Izumo Shrine’s Plan

The journey to Ise Shrine caused heavy losses to the various forces in Yingzhou. Those who were sent either died on the path of exploring the ruins or were killed by Dao Yi True Immortal’s Demonic Army, and less than half returned to the major forces.

However, fortunately, most of the losses were ordinary warriors, and the core members of each major force remained largely unscathed.

However, for various families and shrines, losing people was not a concern, but missing out on the inheritance of the Cloud Monarch was what truly dissatisfied them.

The inheritance of the Cloud Monarch was what every major force dreamed of; however, due to the great strength of the Cyan-robed Guest, they had to suppress their intentions and proceed cautiously with a long-term plan.

Moreover, the power shown by Ling Chen could not be underestimated. The news of Ling Chen defeating the Great Elder Fengmo Rizang of the Fengmo Clan spread like a hurricane across the Yingzhou Martial Arts World, causing shockwaves.

Fengmo Rizang was already considered one of the most powerful ninjas in all of Yingzhou, with very few ninjas stronger than him in the entire region. Yet, such a person was defeated by a young Ling Chen, leaving the entire Yingzhou Martial Arts World in disbelief.

This young man is terrifying.

After returning from the ruins of Ise Shrine, the reputation of Izumo Shrine and the Fengmo Clan plummeted. They defected to the Demon Way in the Divine Palace Ruins, and even if they wanted to redeem themselves in the end, the stain could not be erased.

Southeast Yingzhou, Izumo Shrine.

In the spacious shrine hall, Tu Yumen knelt on the ground like a sinner, awaiting judgment from the high-ranking members of Izumo Shrine.

Tu Yumen’s expression was somewhat uneasy. As the Great Yin-Yang Master of the shrine, kneeling here was a huge disgrace, but his performance at the Divine Palace Ruins was indeed poor; not only did he gain nothing, but he also made a grave mistake by defecting to the Demon Way, bringing shame to the entire Izumo Shrine.

However, Tu Yumen knew that his unfortunate situation was all thanks to Ling Chen. If not for Ling Chen, he wouldn’t be so embarrassed, notorious, and like a dog without a home.

On the main seat sat an elder dressed in a blue robe. He appeared very benevolent, but everyone present looked at him with a hint of respect in their eyes.

The blue-robed elder was a shaman from Izumo Shrine and one of the most powerful Great Yin-Yang Masters in all of Yingzhou.

Heize Seimei.

”Is Hong Ye still in the hands of that kid named Ling Chen?”

Heize Seimei on the main seat slightly furrowed his brow and asked in a deep voice.

Upon hearing Heize Seimei speak, Tu Yumen’s expression immediately tensed. He could ignore the accusations and curses of others, but he dared not dismiss Heize Seimei’s words in the slightest.

”Yes, Lord Kurozawa.”

Tu Yumen nodded slightly, his eyes flickered as he said, ”Originally, I could have brought back Hong Ye, but because of Ling Chen, this kid, relying on his bit of strength, completely disregarded our Izumo Shrine and opposed me at every turn.”

”A young man who defeated Fengmo Rizang, and in your mouth, becomes just someone with a bit of strength?” Heize Seimei said coldly.

Hearing this, Tu Yumen was shocked and quickly said, ”In fact, that kid is not as formidable as rumored. If it weren’t for a cyan-clad person helping him, that kid would have been dead long ago.”

”Has the identity of that cyan-clad person been investigated?” Heize Seimei frowned, realizing that this mysterious person, capable of challenging so many strong Yingzhou warriors, was not an ordinary figure and most likely a High-level Saint, someone he had to take seriously.

”Not yet, but as far as I know, that cyan-clad person has already parted ways with Ling Chen and is probably no longer in Yingzhou.” Tu Yumen said.

Upon hearing this, Heize Seimei felt a sense of relief. If that cyan-clad person were still around, it would be difficult to act against Ling Chen. Without the cyan-clad person, a significant obstacle was removed.

”This Ling Chen openly snatched our shrine maiden from Izumo Shrine, an audacious act that cannot go unpunished.”

A glint of coldness suddenly appeared in Heize Seimei’s eyes. ”As for Hong Ye, her betrayal of the shrine is a crime that cannot be forgiven. These two, neither can be spared.”

Upon hearing this, Tu Yumen’s eyes lit up. He initially thought Heize Seimei, known for his cautiousness, would be very careful in his stance against Ling Chen, given Ling Chen’s formidable power. However, he didn’t expect Heize Seimei to state his intention to deal with Ling Chen and Hong Ye so decisively.

Little did he know, Heize Seimei had deeper reasons for such an attitude. There were too many things on Ling Chen’s person that Heize Seimei desired, whether it was the Bone Woman, the Eight-chi Kongo Jade, or even the inheritance of the Cloud Monarch. Heize Seimei wanted them all, and this matter was known only to him.

If Ling Chen could be dealt with, then all these things would fall into his hands. In this way, Heize Seimei would likely become the strongest Great Yin-Yang Master in all of Yingzhou in no time, without exception.

”Since returning from Ise Shrine, Ling Chen has been holed up in the Bei Chuan Family, making it somewhat troublesome if we wish to take action against him.” Tu Yumen said.

”No matter. This kid is well-prepared now, so there’s no rush to eliminate him. Once we make a move, it must be with absolute certainty, capable of a lethal strike. If not, it’s better not to act.”

Heize Seimei’s eyes suddenly filled with a cold light.

”I await Lord Kurozawa’s orders.”

Tu Yumen was secretly delighted. Since Heize Seimei had declared his intention to deal with Ling Chen, he would certainly act. With Heize Seimei taking action, how could there be any fear of Ling Chen not perishing?

Moreover, judging from Heize Seimei’s tone, it seemed that if they did not act, it would be fine, but if they did, it would be a significant move, one that must be precise and decisive, undoubtedly putting Ling Chen to death!

”Tu Yumen, you disgraced yourself at the Ise Shrine and destroyed the shrine’s millennia-old reputation. You should be severely punished, even stripped of your title as Great Yin-Yang Master and dispossessed of the Green-Faced Deity fragment within you to offset the serious crimes you committed!”

Heize Seimei said coldly.

Hearing these words, Tu Yumen turned ashen-faced in fear, but the next moment, Heize Seimei’s voice resumed, ”However, considering your years of service to the shrine, this time, I will give you a chance to atone for your sins. From now on, keep a close watch on that Ling Chen. You must know every move he makes and report back in detail, or you know the consequences.”

”Yes!”

Tu Yumen immediately nodded, accepting the command. He knew this was his only chance for redemption, and he loathed Ling Chen deeply. Given this excellent opportunity to rid himself of Ling Chen, how could he pass it up?

Ling Chen, your end is near.

Tu Yumen continued to smirk coldly in his heart.
