Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1321: Chapter 1320: First Battle

”Is that so?”

A glint suddenly flashed in the eyes of the King of Taisu, then his palm savagely struck out. At the same time, the chaotic portal behind him swiftly rushed towards Ling Yin, enveloping her.

The chaotic portal blinked into existence right before Ling Yin, as if teleported, with just enough space for one person within, aiming to seal Ling Yin inside.

”Heavenly Eye: Sunlight!”

In Ling Yin’s eyes, two suns seemed to emerge, their blazing rays converging into two astounding beams of light that shot forth from her pupils!

Boom!

The two beams blasted the chaotic portal, immediately shattering it. The residual force of the beams continued shooting towards the King of Taisu’s position!

With a sudden sideways move, the King of Taisu narrowly avoided the beams, a strand of hair fell down, just a whisper away from being hit.

”Mysterious Eight Arrays!”

After evading Ling Yin’s attack, the King of Taisu promptly executed his next move. As his hands formed seals, eight light runes of different colors appeared around him, enveloping Ling Yin, aiming to seal her body.

This Mysterious Eight Arrays was the same technique the King of Taisu used in the previous Nine Streams Tournament.

However, under such pressure, a circular barrier emerged around Ling Yin, resisting the oppressive force of the eight light runes.

Upon blocking the Mysterious Eight Arrays, a strange light glowed in Ling Yin’s eyes, forming two crescent patterns. Reflecting therein, the King of Taisu’s body was enveloped by a bright moon.

”Lunar Eclipse!”

As the moon covered the King of Taisu, its surface was swallowed by darkness at a speed visible to the naked eye. Under this eclipse, the King of Taisu could feel his True Qi mysteriously draining at an alarming rate.

”Is this the power of the Bewildering Heavenly Eye?”

The King of Taisu’s face was grave to the extreme. Ling Yin’s Bewildering Heavenly Eye was evidently much stronger than it had been at the Nine Streams Tournament. Her usage of it had reached a higher rank, no longer a mere single attack.

Ling Yin’s Heavenly Eyes reached higher levels, naturally triggering more abilities.

The lunar eclipse created by the Heavenly Eye was a powerful illusion, highly troublesome. It seemed as if this illusory moon was tethered to his body, and breaking it might very well harm him!

”Great Void Slash!”

Naturally, he wouldn’t sit idly by while his True Qi drained away. True Qi surged wildly within the King of Taisu. Not far behind him, a light rune suddenly spread out, transforming into a rune sword light, which, upon his words, fiercely slashed forth.

Squelch!

The rune sword light hit the illusory moon, directly slicing it in half. Surprisingly though, the sword light didn’t harm the King of Taisu; it passed through him, as if his body was merely a shadow.

”The illusion technique of the Heavenly Eye King was broken, but the Mysterious Eight Arrays remains. Is it possible the Heavenly Eye King will lose?”

”From what it looks like, the Heavenly Eye King is at a disadvantage, indeed risky.”

Many young talents looked grim, some worrying about Ling Yin. Her illusion technique amazed them, but the King of Taisu’s way of breaking it was even more astonishing, making them truly impressed. Though both were from the youth generation, the gap between them seemed too large.

”Eight Arrays, close in!”

After breaking the illusory moon draining his True Qi, the King of Taisu’s eyes narrowed slightly, his hand clenched. The eight floating light runes in mid-air suddenly tightened, creating tremendous pressure. On Ling Yin’s protective circle, cracks appeared.

Seeing this, a glint appeared in the King of Taisu’s eyes. Over the past half year, the power of his Mysterious Eight Arrays had increased by at least twenty percent. At the Nine Streams Tournament, he was a step behind the opportunity to defeat Ling Yin; now, he wouldn’t repeat the same mistake.

”The outcome of the first battle is about to be decided.”

On a nearby mountain peak, three seasoned Youth Kings observed the battle. They were called Illusion Heavenly King, White Night King, and Dragon Spear King. Even among Youth Kings of past years, they stood out, having reigned as champions for several consecutive rounds, when the current six Youth Kings were still nameless and unnoticed.

”This Heavenly Eye King is exceptional; her Bewildering Heavenly Eye is a true gem among illusion techniques.”

The Illusion Heavenly King gazed at Ling Yin in the air, a heat of interest flashing in his eyes. As someone who cultivated illusion techniques himself, he naturally knew the strength and rarity of the Bewildering Heavenly Eye. Without fearing the powerful background of the Heavenly Eye Clan, he might attempt to take Ling Yin’s eye for himself.

”Illusion brother, no need to underestimate yourself; your Silver Illusion Eye isn’t much worse than this young lady’s Bewildering Heavenly Eye.”

The White Night King remarked calmly beside him.

”Though I hate to admit it, the Silver Illusion Eye indeed is a tier below the Bewildering Heavenly Eye.”

The Illusion Heavenly King sighed but then a glint appeared in his eyes, ”Shame that the power displayed by her Bewildering Heavenly Eye now probably isn’t even a fifth of its full potential; otherwise, how could this King of Taisu be her match.”

”It’s that powerful?”

Dragon Spear King was skeptical; the King of Taisu’s displayed prowess was hardly inferior to theirs. If the full mastery of the Bewildering Heavenly Eye made even leaders among past Youth Kings inferior, that was hard to believe.

”No matter how strong it is, that’s future talk; she’s already about to lose.”

As Dragon Spear King’s voice fell, White Night King’s voice joined in.

Within view, Ling Yin’s surrounding light circle was riddled with cracks. The next moment, with a tremendous bang, it completely shattered, while the overwhelming eight rune light fiercely moved to suppress Ling Yin.

But at that moment, a Yin Yang Fish pattern in Ling Yin’s beautiful eyes suddenly split open, unfolding like a budding flower, creating two radiant illusory flowers.

As the two illusory flowers bloomed, a strange ripple spread out. Suddenly, waves emanated from Ling Chen’s body, removing a layer of skin from the space, revealing a new world where illusory flower patterns flourished, grew, decayed, and dissipated.
