Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 340: Chapter 339: Clear Rankings_1

Xue Wu Ya versus Huo Yu.

The confrontation between the two young masters was the center of attention. However, after Huo Yu’s defeat against Ling Chen, his popularity had decreased significantly. As one declined, the other rose; now, in the eyes of many of the younger generation, Xue Wu Ya seemed to be favored.

”Flaming Assault!”

Without any unnecessary words, Huo Yu struck immediately. His Folding Fan, imbued with scorching True Qi, shot towards Xue Wu Ya.

WHOOSH!

The burning True Qi condensed into a Fire Phoenix, surging forward in a violent wave.

”Frosty Snowstorm!”

Xue Wu Ya unsheathed his Northern Snow Sword. As he brandished it at high speed, dense sword qi transformed into a frigid wave, creating a raging blizzard on the Dueling Platform.

The Fire Phoenix, swept by the frigid wave of sword qi, surprisingly didn’t explode. Instead, under the cover of the cold wave, the Fire Phoenix was frozen solid, transforming into an Ice Phoenix.

However, under numerous shocked gazes, the surface of the Ice Phoenix began to turn crimson at a visible rate, emitting an extremely volatile aura.

”Retreat!”

Sensing this volatile aura, Huo Yu and Xue Wu Ya retreated almost simultaneously.

BANG!

The Ice Crystal Phoenix abruptly shattered, sending countless ice shards flying in all directions like Hidden Weapons.

”Not good, retreat quickly!”

The nearby spectating warriors all had terrified expressions and hurriedly retreated to avoid being caught in the aftermath.

AH! A young warrior failed to evade and was struck by the ice shards. Instantly, he was critically injured, barely escaping death.

”The fights are becoming more intense! Everyone keep your distance!” the referee yelled out.

The Martial World Conference was primarily for exchange. If fatalities occurred, it would undoubtedly cast a shadow on this flourishing event.

WHOOSH! As soon as the aftermath of the explosion subsided, Xue Wu Ya rushed forward. With a single sword stroke, snowflakes scattered, condensing into an icy sword that slashed out.

Sword Technique, Drifting Snow!

WHOOSH! Facing Xue Wu Ya’s attack, Huo Yu directly activated his Blazing Battle Body. His scorching True Qi rapidly solidified, forming a suit of Flame Armor.

HA! Huo Yu discarded his Folding Fan and stretched out both hands. Shielded by True Qi, he firmly seized the icy Sword Light striking towards him.

Frigid qi continuously emanated from the Sword Light, but in the next moment, it was neutralized by waves of scorching power.

”Even though Huo Yu lost to Ling Chen, he’s still ranked on the Young Master List. It won’t be easy for Xue Wu Ya to defeat him!”

”Yes, we all underestimated Huo Yu. Because he lost to Ling Chen, we subconsciously thought he was weaker than Xue Wu Ya. It seems we were mistaken. It’s not that Huo Yu is weak, but Ling Chen, who defeated him, is incredibly strong!”

”If Huo Yu wants to advance, he must defeat Xue Wu Ya. Since it’s a do-or-die battle for him, he naturally has to go all out!”

Watching the fierce contest on the Dueling Platform, many young talents were filled with emotion.

”Sword Technique, Snow Slash!”

Xue Wu Ya’s eyes suddenly narrowed. He then fiercely slapped the hilt of his Northern Snow Sword. A strand of frigid power shot out, freezing Huo Yu’s hands.

The next moment, Xue Wu Ya gripped the sword hilt, his hand rotating rapidly. The sword tip became like a drill, spinning deeply as sword qi and frigid air radiated outwards.

Huo Yu spread his fire wings, his figure flashed, and he drifted backward.

For a time, the Dueling Platform was filled with their figures. One exuded frigid air, while the other seemed ignited like Gunpowder, as they clashed fiercely.

In this intense battle, Young Master Huo Yu was gradually pushed back, slowly falling into a disadvantage.

In terms of strength, Xue Wu Ya was, after all, slightly stronger.

After twenty exchanges, the victor was decided.

Xue Wu Ya’s sword struck Young Master Huo Yu’s chest, sending a piece of red fabric flying. Beneath it, a Blood Cave appeared. Had it been an inch deeper, it would have been fatal.

”You won.” Young Master Huo Yu glanced at the Blood Cave in his chest and sighed, appearing to have aged ten years in an instant.

This defeat meant his journey ended here.

Having defeated Young Master Huo Yu, Xue Wu Ya’s gaze fell upon Ling Chen, who stood not far away. A sharp light glinted in his eyes. Next, the battle in Group One would be between him and Ling Chen.

This would be a showdown between top Swordsmen.

「Meanwhile, on the martial arts competition stage of Group Two.」

Xu Ruoyan versus Bai Qingwei.

The entire martial arts competition stage was already enveloped by an Illusory Realm. Only two slender, graceful figures could be vaguely seen battling within it.

”Sea of Illusion!”

Bai Qingwei pushed the Illusory Realm to its peak. She then stood within this Sea of Illusion, exerting pressure on Xu Ruoyan, launching a dual assault on her will and body.

For Bai Qingwei, this battle was also extremely important. If she lost, it would mean she had no chance of advancing. But if she could defeat Xu Ruoyan, there would still be a sliver of hope.

Of course, Xu Ruoyan could not afford to lose either. A loss would not only mean defeat in the match and falling further behind the group leader, but it would also crush her fighting spirit.

Since the commencement of the Martial World Conference, only four individuals remained undefeated: Young Master Ye, Xue Wu Ya, Ling Chen, and Xu Ruoyan. They still maintained an extremely vigorous fighting spirit, standing proudly above the rest. Once top young geniuses like Fu Tian Jue and Young Master Huo Yu suffered a defeat, their sharpness would be completely lost, leading to one defeat after another.

”Walking Through Snow in Search of Plums!”

Although Xu Ruoyan was within the Illusory Realm created by Bai Qingwei, she was in the state of Ice Heart Divine Soul. Her spirit, vitality, and energy all remained at their Peak State. Even though Bai Qingwei’s Illusion Technique was very powerful, it could hardly affect Xu Ruoyan. On the contrary, Xu Ruoyan repeatedly broke through, putting Bai Qingwei in perilous situations.

”Heart-binding Technique!”

Bai Qingwei’s gaze scanned around, finally locking onto a figure. Then, her hands suddenly clapped together, and an invisible force instantly enveloped Xu Ruoyan.

Countless semi-transparent threads bound Xu Ruoyan’s body, rendering her completely immobile.

These threads, formed entirely from Mental Power, seemed ethereal yet were tangibly real.

The next instant, SWOOSH! Bai Qingwei darted towards Xu Ruoyan, aiming a palm strike at her chest.

However, just as Bai Qingwei’s palm was about to strike Xu Ruoyan, Xu Ruoyan suddenly raised her head. An icy aura emanated from her body, rapidly freezing the semi-transparent threads.

BANG!

The frozen Mental Power threads shattered into ice shards, and Xu Ruoyan’s Cloud and Water Sword shot out like lightning.

Bai Qingwei’s pretty face changed. She wanted to dodge the sword, but it was too late. Xu Ruoyan’s sword struck her shoulder.

SCHLICK!

Bai Qingwei’s shoulder was pierced, creating a Blood Cave from which blood gushed, staining the Dueling Platform. This was only because Xu Ruoyan had shown mercy; otherwise, her entire arm might have been crippled.

The outcome was decided.

Below the Dueling Platform, heated discussions erupted.

”With Bai Qingwei defeated, the first and second places in Group Two are now locked in. It’s just unclear who will take first place—Young Master Ye or Xu Ruoyan.”

”The situation in Group One is similar. Xue Wu Ya and Ling Chen will battle to determine the group’s top spot.”

”This is fascinating! Four people, a perfect confrontation of the younger generation against each other. Let’s see who will ultimately triumph.”
