Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 1408: Talk With The Chaos

”What’s the reason behind my existence? Aren’t I just one of the living beings in this universe born because of you?” Ling Yun furrowed his brows as the Chaos created several Qi screens, but he already knew some of the images that appeared within them. ”Multiverse?”

”That’s right.” The Chaos enlarged one of the Qi screens, but Ling Yun saw nothing there. ”As you can see, this was our universe in the distant past, and it was empty. This universe evolved after my seed was born, and I became its core. I was born with a lot of knowledge and the power of omnipotence, but I was confused with my existence.”

”Hmm?” Ling Yun’s gaze was solely focused on the changes taking place on the Qi screen.

The Chaos immediately continued. ”Because of all the knowledge, I started to question my existence. How could I be born? How could I have all that knowledge? How could I have my power? Unfortunately, I never managed to find the answer, and it made me so lonely. Therefore, I created time, light, darkness, life, death, will, fate, and the others to accompany me and fill this universe, but their presence cannot eliminate my loneliness.”

”Hmm?” Ling Yun turned to the Chaos.

”Do you feel strange about that?”

”So, the seven worldly emotions have been attached to you from the start, huh?” Ling Yun muttered to himself.

The Chaos acknowledged it with a nod. ”I tried to test other things within my knowledge, and I decided to turn Time into the first female human. I always observed her since she turned into a human, and I found that she inherited many things from me, including the seven worldly emotions. Although she could feel them, they did not have a significant impact on her. For that reason, I created Long Hun to accompany her, and I could see that her life became much better with his presence. I liked their relationship, and they ended up living together for a long time. They are both my most perfect creations, and none of them can compete with them.”

”Then you created the primordials.”

”Yes.” The Chaos nodded at Ling Yun. ”I created the primordials just like I created Time and Long Hun, and I passed on a lot of knowledge to them. Unfortunately, they were missing something important, and they could never be like those two.”

”The seven worldly emotions.”

The Chaos nodded again. ”As you said before, Will is my will, and she fully understands my will. She and the others are part of me, so they were born with the seven worldly emotions like me, and she influenced Fate to transmit them to the primordials, including Huang Lingzhu and Long Hun.”

”Hmm?” Ling Yun immediately realized something. ”Even though Huang Lingzhu and Long Hun were affected by Fate’s actions, their changes were not significant because they basically already had the seven worldly emotions within them.”

”Yes.” The Chaos released a soft sigh. ”Unfortunately, the result was not what I expected, and the primordials messed up their era. In the end, their mistakes destroyed the primordial era, and I sent the Law to eradicate them.”

”Then.”

”I won’t retell everything because that would just waste time.” The Chaos then shifted another Qi screen and enlarged it, causing Ling Yun to frown. ”You must recognize him, right?”

”Tang Xiao.”

The Chaos nodded. ”As you already know, Tang Xiao’s future self went back in time to fix the future. Even though he had considered everything carefully, his decision led to the birth of the multiverse, which was marked with the birth of four other universes, including ours. I didn’t know anything about it at first, but I realized everything the moment he crossed into our universe. I realized that I was born because of him, which clarified all the questions I had since my birth. I tried to contact the cores of the other universes, but something is blocking me.”

”So, what does everything have to do with my existence?” Ling Yun asked in confusion.

The Chaos snapped his fingers, and many huge black chains appeared on his body, which shocked Ling Yun. ”Since then, I’ve tried to analyze various things, and I finally found these chains within me, which bind me to this universe. I knew the existence of the other universes, but these chains stopped me from contacting them.”

”Hmm?” Ling Yun tried to touch the chains, but the Chaos stopped him from doing so.

Chaos then continued with his story. ”Tang Xiao’s presence in this universe made me realize some things, especially because of the three prophecies. The first prophecy was the birth of the man with nine elements, which was proven true with your birth.”

”Hmm?” It was becoming increasingly difficult for Ling Yun to understand what Chaos meant by all that. ”What exactly do you understand? What is the relationship between Tang Xiao, our universe, and everything?”

The Chaos removed the chains before touching Ling Yun’s chest, but he was knocked back several steps, confusing him. ”See? Do you still not understand? Like I told you before, I can’t kill you even if I wanted to, as you are an anomaly born in my universe.”

Ling Yun stared at Chaos as he checked his body, and he also tried to examine his insides, but he couldn’t find anything unusual about himself.

The Chaos shook his head at Ling Yun. ”You can’t sense anything yet, but once you reach my level, you’ll learn the reason behind your existence. The darkness appeared because of my fault, but it happened against my will, and I couldn’t stop it.”

”How is that possible? How can the darkness arise against your will? You—”

”Sigh.” The Chao released a heavy sigh. ”Kid, you’re actually smart, but you tend to overthink about many things, which makes things that are simple to understand become complicated. Like I said, I and this universe were born because of Tang Xiao, and you should be able to understand the gist of it from there.”

Ling Yun furrowed his brows. ”So, you mean Tang Xiao’s will is influencing you, right?”

”Yes.” The Chaos’s answer made Ling Yun take a deep breath. ”In fact, Tang Xiao himself didn’t realize that he had left his will in all universes, and the will he left in this universe had been influencing me since my birth, but I only realized everything when he came here. You hate me because of the chaos I caused, but I myself never wanted that to happen. By the way, I’m not trying to blame anyone, but you should know that you are the only living being who can stop everything because you were born from his will.”

”Huh?” Ling Yun was completely shocked to hear that. ”Are you kidding me? How could I be born from Tang Xiao’s will that he left in this universe?”

The Chaos shook his head slightly. ”I myself don’t know how it happened, but it is a fact that you were born from Tang Xiao’s will. If you want to change the situation in this universe, you must defeat me and replace me as its core. If you don’t defeat and replace me, all of you will die because of the darkness. After that, this universe will be reborn, but the situation of this universe will remain the same, and the cycle will repeat itself again.”

”So, what you’re saying is that this universe will be in chaos no matter how many times it is reborn?” Ling Yun asked with a gloomy tone.

”That’s right.” The Chaos nodded in response. ”You were born from Tang Xiao’s will, so you are the only person who can stop everything. Once you defeat me and replace me, I will be free from those chains, and I will disappear forever.”

Ling Yun fell into deep thought after hearing that, as he would be completely tied to their universe if that happened, and he would not be able to gather with the people he loved anymore. Even if he could do it, it would take him a very long time.

”I won’t tell you too much for now, but I can tell you that you can fulfill all your wishes if you replace me.” After saying that, the Chaos immediately disappeared from the Yunlong Zhuzhai, leaving Ling Yun standing in his spot in a daze.

Soon, Mu Shu and the others woke up, but they were confused by their situation, even more so when they saw Ling Yun acting like a statue. ”What happened to you, husband? Why did we suddenly fall unconscious?”

”Phew.” Ling Yun exhaled softly. ”Someone just came to see you, and they didn’t want you all to see them, so they deliberately made you guys unconscious.”

”Who?”

”Forget it.” Ling Yun didn’t want to share his conversation with the Chaos just now with them, as he himself still found it hard to believe everything. ”Let’s go to my room.”

Ling Yun immediately hurried away, confusing them. ”What do you think happened to him, sisters? Who was the man who met him earlier?”

Xiao Xiao shook her head slightly. ”Judging by his expression, our husband and the mysterious man just had a serious conversation, and that person probably revealed some things he found difficult to accept, so he doesn’t want to share them with us yet.”

”I agree with you.” Xuanyuan Xue’er nodded slightly. ”For now, we don’t need to force him to tell us everything, and I believe he will tell us when he’s ready.”

”Yeah.”
