Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 1181: True History III

Huang Hao was perplexed by Huang Lingzhuʼs outburst of feelings, and no one would have ever expected that a woman like him would cry so loudly. After all, she had maintained her cold and apathetic character for billions of years, and she did not even shed a tear when she killed Long Hun in the past, yet she was no different from an ordinary woman whose feelings were hurt.

Long Hun released a soft sigh and pulled Huang Lingzhu into his arms, causing her to cry even louder as she vented all the pain in her heart. ”Even though itʼs too late, I still want to apologize to you, Time. I understand your feelings and suffering because I feel the same, but we both know that the universe we love has no future if I donʼt sacrifice myself.”

”Bastard! You bastard!” Huang Lingzhu screamed as she kept crying in Long Hunʼs arms.

Long Hun hugged Huang Lingzhu tighter. ”Donʼt you always want to save this universe and all its inhabitants? Youʼve done so much after the destruction of our era, remember?”

”Why are you so selfish? We are the primordials, and we could have stopped your father if we had worked together, but you chose to die and left me to suffer for billions of years!” Huang Lingzhu spoke in a high voice.

”Why are you still acting like an ignorant? You are Time, and you cannot die. If we fight against my father, we will both die for sure, and this universe will die with us. Thus, I decided to sacrifice myself, with the hope that my successor would succeed in saving this universe from my fatherʼs wrath.” Long Hun then released Huang Lingzhu from his arms and wiped her tears. ”Even though Ling Yun has not yet reached my level, he is already on the right track. I believe he will not fail to fulfill my hope, and he will save this universe in my stead. Unfortunately, he canʼt fight my father by himself, and the people around him wonʼt be able to do much to help him either. Therefore, you have to help him reach my level as soon as possible, or all our sacrifices will be in vain.”

Huang Lingzhu stared at Long Hun for quite some time. ”What else can I do for him? I have given him so many things, but he has never been grateful, and he even intends to punish me once he becomes the next primordial chaos dragon.”

”Isnʼt that your own fault?” Huang Hao, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. ”You caused Luxuria to suffer for billions of years, and you also separated Xiao Xiao from her parents. Lastly, you didnʼt tell Ling Yun about the new trigger of the second prophecy, and you wanted to use him to carry out a mass purge.”

”You donʼt have to listen to Haoʼer, Time.” Huang Hao glared at Long Hun, but he ignored her. ”Ling Yun and the others might hate you for everything youʼve done to them, but they never know the true situation of our universe, and they will never understand our sacrifices because they never lived in our era. If they lived in our era and saw everything that happened back then, Iʼm sure they would do the same thing as everything youʼve done.”

”Yeah.” Huang Lingzhu softly answered.

Long Hun then spoke to her again. ”There is still one thing you can do for him because you are the one and only Time.”

”I see.” Huang Lingzhu nodded in understanding. ”I will do it once I get back.”

”Thatʼs good.” Long Hun then looked at the surrounding area again. ”I miss this realm so much because this is our first realm, and we spent a lot of time together here. I have heard your intentions from Sheng Ming, but I hope you will never do that.”

Huang Lingzhuʼs expression immediately changed. ”Did you meet Sheng Ming? Why didnʼt she tell me that half of your soul still exists?”

”I met Sheng Ming when she went to the Desolate Abyss Domain.” Long Hunʼs answer made Huang Lingzhu furious. ”You donʼt have to blame her, okay? I forbade her from telling you, and I met her because I needed her to help Ling Yun.”

Huang Lingzhu immediately realized Long Hunʼs intentions. ”Did you deliberately ask Sheng Ming to send her soul into Ling Yunʼs soul space?”

”Yes.” Long Hun immediately admitted it. ”Ling Yunʼs devil soul was too strong, and he would really fall into the influence of his devil side if I didnʼt do something. Fortunately, Sheng Ming went to that place at that time, and he was the best choice to help him, so I deliberately showed myself to her and asked her to do that.”

”What exactly are you doing? How can you bind the souls of the two of them?”

”Haha.” Long Hun laughed at that. ”There is an incomplete statue of me inside Ling Yunʼs soul space, and he needs it to be able to access all of my abilities after he becomes the next primordial chaos dragon. Even though this soul is not there, I can still access the statue, and I use a little of my power to bind their souls together. I know it is unfair to Sheng Ming, but I have no choice but to do so. Otherwise, before my fatherʼs darkness swallows everything, he will destroy this universe first, making our sacrifices in vain.”

Huang Lingzhu nodded in understanding. ”At first, it was indeed unfair to Sheng Ming, but she is much happier now, and she decided to live with Ling Yunʼs other wives.”

”Hey!” Huang Hao shouted at them. ”What do you mean by your words earlier? Why donʼt you two stop the other primordials from destroying each other?”

Huang Lingzhu immediately turned to Huang Hao. In fact, we tried to stop them, but they were corrupted by worldly emotions and refused to listen to us. Therefore, Long Hun and I decided not to stop them anymore, and we let them destroy each other.”

”Shouldnʼt you two be able to do something to get rid of those worldly emotions?” Huang Hao asked with doubts.

Huang Lingzhu shook her head. ”I am Time, and all my abilities are only related to time. Long Hunʼs abilities are related to chaos, and his abilities are indeed overpowered because he can negate other peopleʼs abilities. Worldly emotions are not strengths or abilities; they come from living creaturesʼ hearts; how can we remove them?”

”Well, thatʼs true.” Huang Hao replied with a nod.

Huang Lingzhu then continued. ”I could stop their time, and I could lock them up in this realm forever. Even if I did that in the past, it would never stop the influence of the worldly emotions, and it would infect all the living beings who will be born after us, so we decided that way. You must have seen the empty realm, right?”

”Yes.” Huang Hao nodded.

”This realm used to be as calm and peaceful as that realm, but the worldly emotions ruined everything.” Huang Lingzhu sighed heavily after saying that. ”Several hundred thousand years after that, the Supreme Realm was born, and I rewrote history by eliminating all traces of the empty realm, the existence of the primordials, the elemental laws, and many other things. I deliberately wrote that the barrier at the end of the supreme realm was the end of this universe, and there was only chaos beyond it so that living beings would not be curious to try to enter it. As a result, you and the other immortals were able to exist together in peace for a very long time, and almost nothing evil happened during that time. For the rest, you should already know everything, but the history I wrote back then has experienced so many changes, and it will continue to change with the birth of new generations after the last.”

Huang Hao was really shocked to hear all that, but he had to admit that Huang Lingzhuʼs actions made life in the immortal era truly peaceful. ”Victors write history, and every era has its own victors, so history will continue to change with each era.”

”Thatʼs right.” Huang Lingzhuʼs expression turned regretful. ”Unfortunately, the birth of Jian Xieshen changed many things and brought back those worldly emotions, including the birth of the seven immortal spirits, who were born from the seven emotions of living creatures. Their birth marked the end of the immortal era, and we entered the ancient era. This universe also became much larger, with countless new living beings born in it. In the end, the actions of living beings provoked the wrath of the Chaos, and this universe had to face enormous danger because of their stupidity and greed.”

Huang Hao fell silent for a while after hearing all that, and she asked Huang Lingzhu a few minutes later. ”Then how can I learn the elemental laws?”

”Why do you want to learn them?” Huang Lingzhu asked with a frown.

”Are you stupid?” Huang Hao responded in a mocking tone. ”You are aware of the Chaosʼs abilities; do you still think Ling Yun and the others can stop it with just their current strength? According to what I heard from my master and him, the elemental laws can increase our destructive power, so they are essential for the final battle against it. Therefore, you must teach them to me and the others, or we will never be able to win our final battle.”
