Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 707: Testing New Items

[Golden Yin-Yang Sword: This sword was created by a sword smith who was also a dual cultivator in the past. This sword has extraordinary abilities, but the drawback is that it will absorb the wielderʼs Qi, and it can cause the user to fall into a vegetative state due to Qi depletion.]

[A Broken Mirror: Unknown Item! It needs to be repaired first.]

[Suppressing Tablet: The user can use it to suppress other cultivators for some period of time, and it depends on the cultivation of the user and the opponent.]

”Fuck!” Ling Yun cursed after reading the description of the Golden Yin-Yang Sword. ”Even though my Yang Qi absorption rate is truly fast, and I also have many women who can supply me with Yin Qi, it will slow down my cultivation.”

Ling Xi suddenly appeared before him and laid down on top of him. ”The sword will indeed make your cultivation slow down, but you need to control the abnormalities in your body first, remember? Moreover, the Yin-Yang World Ring has almost reached its limit, and you wonʼt be able to store qi in it anymore once itʼs full, so it should be no problem for you, right?”

”Thatʼs true. Do you know the use of this sword?”

Ling Xi nodded to him. ”My last host used it to fight his enemies, but he only used it in desperate situations, and the swordʼs effect was truly terrifying.”

”What exactly is the swordʼs effect?”

”Haha.” Ling Xi laughed and took him to another area. ”You can try using that sword to stab that beast.”

”Hmm?” When Ling Yun pulled out the Golden Yin-Yang Sword, he noticed that it was absorbing his Qi really fast, so he thrust it directly at the beast.

”Roar!”

However, what happened next made Ling Yun gape; the beastʼs body expanded rapidly, and it exploded into small pieces.

*Bam*

”Fuck!” Ling Yun cursed and covered his body with Qi, and he immediately put the sword away. ”How did it happen?”

”Haha.” Ling Xi laughed at his question. ”Have you still not noticed it?”

”Nope.” Ling Yun shook his head at her.

Ling Xi sighed and told him. ”The sword channels your Yang and Yin Qi into your enemyʼs body, which causes the Yang and Qi within their body to overflow rapidly, and you must remember that the bodies of other living creatures have limits to accommodate both.”

”I see.” Ling Yun finally understood the effect of the sword. ”Once their bodyʼs capacity reaches its limit, their body will expand and explode like the beast just now.”

Ling Xi nodded and reminded him about it. ”However, you cannot use that sword for long-term combat, and you can only use it to deal the final blow to your enemy, especially if you are facing an enemy that is much stronger than you.”

”Yes.” Ling Yun replied with repeated nods. ”Moreover, the sword is only heaven-grade, so it would be better if I fought using the Chaos Dragon Scythe.”

”Thatʼs true.” Ling Xi agreed with that. ”Even so, you have to be careful if you use that scythe in this place, especially since its grade is very high and few cultivators have such a high-grade weapon. Although they canʼt use it without the chaos dragon bloodline, human greed has no bounds, and they will definitely try to snatch it from you.”

”I know.” Ling Yun then took out another sword, which was completely white. ”Moreover, this Tianlong Sword is also heaven-grade, so I can use it against them, right?” (A/N: He bought the Tianlong equipment set when he was about to break through to King Realm, but I havenʼt mentioned the main weapon of that set before - Chapter 677.)

”Indeed, you can use the Tianlong Sword to fight them.” Ling Xi then reminded Ling Yun. ”However, if you encounter cultivators who have weapons at the Divine and Immortal Grade, then it will definitely be destroyed if it clashes directly with their weapons.”

Ling Yun himself was certainly aware of that. ”Even so, cultivators who possess weapons of the Divine and Immortal Grade must be very rare, right?”

”Youʼre right.” And Ling Xi told him. ”In my lifetime, I have met hundreds of cultivators who possess divine-grade weapons, but I have only met less than a hundred cultivators who possess immortal-grade weapons, and all of them live in the supreme realm. However, their numbers are too small compared to the number of cultivators there, so your chances of meeting them are very small.

Even so, it is still possible that you will meet them one day, so you still have to be careful in facing every enemy that will come your way.”

Ling Yun then put away the Tianlong Sword again and took out the broken mirror. ”Where did you get this broken thing?”

”Hmm?” Ling Xi tried to search in her memory about the broken mirror first, and she then answered him. ”If I remember correctly, I got that broken mirror from a ruin in the Divine Wilderness Realm, but I donʼt know the exact details myself.”

”Havenʼt you ever tried to fix it?” Ling Yun asked again as he looked at the broken mirror carefully, especially since it was heaven-grade, so he thought that it should have a good function.

Ling Xi shook her head at him. ”None of my past hosts have any interest in blacksmithing, so we never went to look for a blacksmith. However, there is the best blacksmith clan in this realm, so you can try bringing the broken mirror to the Tian Clan, and they might be able to help you fix it.”

”For now, I want to focus on my cultivation and training first, and I will only go to the Tian Clan once I am completely ready.” After he put away the broken mirror, Ling Yun then took out the Suppressing Tablet and asked Ling Xi. ”How can I use this tablet?”

”Itʼs very easy.” Ling Xi replied as she shifted slightly away from Ling Yun. ”You can throw the tablet above my head now.”

”Hmm?” Ling Yun immediately threw the tablet over Ling Xi, and the light that shot out from it immediately enveloped a small area around her body. ”Oh? So the light serves to confine and suppress other cultivators?”

”Yes.” Ling Xi responded with a nod, but she immediately moved out of the light. ”As you can see, the tablet doesnʼt work against me because our cultivation difference is too great, so you should always keep this in mind. Otherwise, you will be in danger if you try to use it on cultivators who are much stronger than you.”

”I know.” Ling Yun then withdrew the tablet. ”So which cultivation level can I suppress using this tablet?”

Ling Xi herself didnʼt know for sure about it, so she decided to call some people over to meet them, and several women immediately appeared around them.

”Why did you call us, Senior?” Ling Xiaofei was the first to ask her.

Ling Xi pointed at Ling Yun. ”He got a new item, but we donʼt know its exact limits, so we want to try using it on you guys.”

”Oh?” Shi Xiaoyin looked at the tablet and asked with a confused look. ”What kind of item is that? If Iʼm not mistaken, it should be heaven-grade, right?”

”Yes.” Ling Yun showed them the suppressing tablet and explained it. ”This tablet can confine and suppress cultivators for a period of time, but it is useless against Ling Xi, so he asked you guys here to test it out.”

Ling Xiaofei said to him. ”All right, you can try using it on me first, especially since my cultivation is the highest among them.”

Wasting no time, Ling Yun threw the suppressing tablet above her, but Ling Xiaofei only felt suppressed for a split second, and she immediately moved away from the light before telling them the result. ”I only felt the effects for less than a second.”

Ling Yun smiled bitterly after hearing that, especially since Ling Xiaofeiʼs cultivation was at the Peak Saint Realm, but she was only suppressed by its effects for a split second.

Ling Yun then used it on Feng Bingʼer, Feng Yujie, and Bing Xue. Unfortunately, he had to feel disappointed by it, and the timing was not much different from when he used it on Ling Xiaofei.

”You donʼt need to feel disappointed.” Ling Xi then pointed at the other four women. ”You can try using it on them, especially since their cultivation is still at Emperor Realm, and I think the effect will last longer.”

”Haha.” Xiao Xi laughed and said to him. ”Yunʼer, you can try using it on me, and my cultivation is at Peak Emperor Realm now.”

Ling Yun nodded and threw the tablet above her, and Xiao Xi was instantly pressed to the ground, but Ling Xi immediately held her from falling. ”Ugh! This pressure is really strong! I canʼt even fight back.”

”I-”

”No!” Xiao Xi shouted to stop Ling Yun. ”Donʼt worry about me; I also want to know how long the tablet can suppress me.”

Hearing that, Ling Yun gave up the intention of taking back the tablet, but he could more or less understand its effect. ”This means this tablet can only suppress cultivators whose cultivation is one major level above mine at most.”

”Thatʼs true.” They nodded to him, and Yu Die said to him. ”However, a few seconds is crucial in battle, especially if your speed is much faster than your opponent.”
