Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 559: Ye Jing vs Huo Ziqi

”Yeʼer, do you know anything about your little sisterʼs opponent?” Chen Qing asked Huo Ye as her eyes kept on observing the fight between Huo Ziqi and Ye Jing, but she frowned after seeing that one of her twin daughters kept getting pushed around by her attacks.

Huo Ye nodded to her. ”Ye Jing hasnʼt been a cultivator for long, but her cultivation can improve rapidly thanks to Ling Yun, especially since she often dual cultivates with him. As for her Water techniques, I donʼt know much about it, for Iʼve never seen her practice before.”

”I still didnʼt expect the Lotus Sect to accept a non-virgin disciple, which would mean changing their rules that had existed since hundreds of years ago.” Yan Zilan turned to Lian Bing before continuing, ”Moreover, Sect Master Lian is willing to accept Ling Yun as her future husband, even though he already has so many wives.”

Huo Ye only smiled at that, for she knew very well the power of Ling Yunʼs charm, and she almost fell under its influence, especially after she had spent quite a bit of time with him and his women. Fortunately, her mental strength is strong enough, so she can still withstand the effects.

Huo Yun suddenly said. ”The Ling Clan is truly fortunate to have a male heir like him, and their clan will definitely become even stronger if Ling Yun becomes their patriarch in the future.”

”Youʼre wrong about that, Brother.” Huo Ye said as she shook her head. ”Although he is a descendant of the Ling Clan, Ling Yun has never wished to have any relationship with them.”

”Why is that?” Huo Yun asked with a raised eyebrow.

However, Huo Jun immediately explained to him. ”Ever since Ling Yun was born, he had never had any relation with the Ling Clan; even the late Ling Xiao never knew that he had a son before. He only discovered his existence after 19 years, so you shouldnʼt be surprised by that.”

”I see.” Huo Yun nodded in understanding, but he said to his father. ”Although Ling Yun does not wish to have anything to do with the Ling Clan, it is still undeniable that he is their descendant, and his existence is still a boon to them.”

They nodded in agreement with that, but Chen Qing then said. ”However, I didnʼt expect that Yuʼer would actually be one of Ling Yunʼs women, and she didnʼt tell me at all.”

Huo Jun sighed after he heard his wifeʼs words. ”Didnʼt it happen because of Lanʼerʼs stupid mistake? If she didnʼt force Yuʼer to marry Guan Ye, then she wouldnʼt have fled the Ling Clan, and she wouldnʼt have fallen into her cousinʼs embrace. Also, she seems to hate us now, and she hasnʼt even greeted us since we came here yesterday.”

”Youʼre wrong, Father.” Huo Ye said to his father. ”Yuʼer doesnʼt hate you guys; she only hates Big Sis Lan. However, her character changed since she beat her up due to her bloodline.”

”Her bloodline?” Chen Qing, Huo Yun, and Yan Zilan looked at her confusedly.

Huo Jun immediately told them. ”Ah! I just remembered about that! Old Ling told me that he saw the figure of the white fox when Yuʼer beat Lanʼer, and I think that fox has something to do with her bloodline.”

”You are right, Father.” Huo Ye replied with a nod. ”Yuʼer told me that she has a fox bloodline, but she didnʼt go into details, and her bloodline influenced her character to make her like that.”

”Sigh, Iʼll talk to Yuʼer later.” Chen Qing said with a heavy sigh.

Yan Zilan said to her. ”Iʼll come with you, Mother. I miss Yuʼer too; itʼs been a while since Iʼve spoken to her.”

”All right.” After that, their gazes returned to the arena, especially since the fight between Ye Jing and Huo Ziqi had become increasingly fierce.

Huo Ziqi looked frustrated to face Ye Jing since she could easily block her attacks. ʼTch! I didnʼt expect that the Lotus Sect had a disciple with the Water element, and she was so skilled at controlling it. I canʼt keep stalling any longer, or Iʼll run out of Qi before I can beat her, so Iʼll use it now.ʼ

Ye Jing raised her eyebrows as Huo Ziqi flew into the air, and she could feel her Fire Qi becoming stronger.

”I donʼt really want to use this technique, but I must defeat you.” After she said that, Huo Ziqi immediately closed her eyes and raised her hands up.

Soon, people gasped in shock as a fireball appeared above Huo Ziqiʼs hand, and its size grew as the seconds passed.

”Wow! I didnʼt expect Huo Ziqi to have such a technique!”

”Although Huo Ziqiʼs Fire element isnʼt as strong as the members of the Feng Clan, it is still much stronger than other cultivators.”

”Thatʼs true; I can even feel the heat from here.”

”Fairy Ye will suffer if she gets hit by Huo Ziqiʼs attack.”

”Impossible! Fairy Ye has the Water element, so she will never lose to Huo Ziqi!”

After that, some parties shouted to support Huo Ziqi, but others continued to cheer for Ye Jing.

Unlike them, Ye Jing still looked very calm, and she didnʼt seem the least bit worried by Huo Ziqiʼs technique.

Ye Jing then took out the Sea God Trident and called out. ”Zhi Hun!”

Zhi Hun instantly stepped out from within the trident and looked at the fireball above Huo Ziqiʼs hand. ”Do you want me to stop her, Master?”

”Yes.” Ye Jing nodded to her. ”But I donʼt want you to hurt her.”

Afterward, Zhi Yun immediately flew toward Huo Ziqi. Not only were the young cultivators shocked by her appearance, but even the senior cultivators, including the Ancestors, were shocked to see her.

Even so, Long Weishan and others immediately recognized her identity, and they were shocked to learn that Ye Jingʼs trident had a spirit.

Huo Ziqi immediately opened her eyes and was stunned to see Zhi Hun hovering before her. ”Who are you? Why are you bothering me?”

Zhi Hun pointed at Ye Jing. ”I am my Masterʼs spirit weapon, so I will stop you.”

”How-” Huo Ziqi hadnʼt had the chance to ask her again, but Zhi Hun had already flicked her tiny finger. Instantly, a small water ball shot towards her fireball, and their clash resulted in a small explosion, causing her to be sent flying backward. ”Ahh!”

However, Ye Jing suddenly moved and caught her, and Huo Ziqi looked at her dumbfoundedly, for she did not expect Zhi Hun to destroy her technique. ”You better give up; I know that your technique just now used up almost all of your Qi, so you wonʼt be able to fight anymore.”

After hearing that, Huo Ziqi sighed heavily, for she really couldnʼt fight anymore. ”I didnʼt expect you to have such a powerful companion; she could even destroy my technique with just a small water ball.”

Ye Jing chuckled upon hearing that. ”Although Zhi Hun is tiny, she is powerful, and she is much stronger than the Ancestors.”

”Huh?” Huo Ziqi stared at Ye Jing in disbelief. ”How is that possible? I canʼt believe such a tiny girl is much stronger than the Ancestors.”

”Who are you calling a tiny girl?” Zhi Hun asked as she placed her tiny hands on her waist. ”Even though my body is this small, Iʼm much older than all of you.”

”Eh?”

”Haha.” Ye Jing laughed at Huo Ziqiʼs expression. ”Zhi Hun is a spirit weapon, and she is indeed very old, so you shouldnʼt be confused if she can destroy your fireball easily.”

”You and your husband are both absurd, you know?” Ye Jing only smiled upon hearing that, and Huo Ziqi said to Xuanyuan Xuʼer. ”Matriarch Xuanyuan, I canʼt fight anymore.”

Xuanyuan Xueʼer nodded in understanding. ”The winner is Ye Jing!”

Huo Ziqi returned to her family after that, but she didnʼt feel disappointed by her defeat, especially after listening to Ye Jingʼs explanation earlier.

When Ye Jing arrived in front of them, Ling Yun immediately said to her. ”I didnʼt expect you to use the Sea God Trident in this competition, Jingʼer.”

”If I used my other technique, I would hurt Huo Ziqi, so I had to ask Zhi Hun to destroy her fireball.” Ye Jing explained to him as she smiled.

”Thatʼs true.” Ling Yun then turned to the others. ”Zhang Bing, I believe you can trounce your opponent. But you may have a tough match against Jiang Chen, Shuʼer.”

Zhang Bing nodded to him. ”Yes, I am confident of defeating my opponent.”

”Youʼre right, Yunʼer. Iʼve watched all of Jiang Chenʼs fights, and his techniques are bizarre.” Yi Shu replied with a soft sigh; she glanced at her opponent, who was already walking towards the arena. ”However, I will not give up so easily, and I will fight him with all my might.”

”En.” Ling Yun nodded to her, and he then asked Feng Qiong. ”Are you able to defeat Lei Qianyu?”

”I didnʼt know before fighting her.” Feng Qong replied with a shake of her head. ”I beat her once, but it was long ago, and Iʼm unsure of her current strength.”

”I see.” Ling Yun nodded in understanding and said to them again. ”All right, you three just need to try your best.”

”Yes.” After that, the three of them immediately went to the arena and stood facing their respective opponents.
