Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 536: Competition Begin

”Lian Bing!”

”Hmm?” Lian Bing turned to Ling Xi, who had just called out to her. ʼWhat happened, Sister Xi?ʼ

Ling Xi directly touched Lian Bingʼs forehead and imparted a technique into her mind. ”That Situ Luan has a strange technique that will affect Yu Mei, so you can give it to her, and she wonʼt be affected by the technique.”

”I see.” Lian Bing nodded and touched Yu Meiʼs forehead.

Yu Mei was shocked when she read the technique, and she asked Lian Bing in confusion. ”Why did you give the technique to me, Sect Master?”

”Your opponent has a strange technique; you can use it to counter hers.” Lian Bing explained to her, but she decided not to tell Yu Mei that her opponent was Situ Luan.

Yu Mei nodded and sat down cross-legged, for she only had a little time to learn it.

Lian Bing then looked up at Ling Xi. ʼDoes Yunʼer have any plans for them?ʼ

Ling Xi nodded to her. ”I will free Situ Luan from the influence of Lu Wanʼerʼs potions, and we will capture the two women after this competition.”

Lian Bing nodded and asked again. ʼSo what should I do?ʼ

Ling Xi shook her head. ”You donʼt need to do anything; Zhou Yu and I will take care of everything.”

After Ling Xi disappeared from her sight, Lian Bing asked her disciples. ”So, how do you plan to face your opponents?”

Hearing that, Sun Xinxin replied gloomily. ”Sect Master! Han Xian and I will let you down this time.”

”Yes, I wonʼt be able to defeat my opponent, Sect Master.” Han Xian also looked gloomy after knowing her opponent.

Lian Bing understood their feelings, and she tried to comfort them. ”You two donʼt need to be sad; Lei Qiuling and Lei Qianyu are much stronger than you, so I wonʼt blame you. However, this is also a golden opportunity to discover your weaknesses, so you must face them as best you can.”

Sun Xinxin and Han Xian couldnʼt help but sigh in their hearts, and they nodded to her. ”Yes, we will definitely do it, Sect Master.”

”Thatʼs good.” Lian Bing then turned to the others. ”What about you guys? Are you sure you can win the first match?”

”Yes!” Su Ling, Qiao Yan, Tang Wan, and Xue Ying answered in unison, and they looked confident about defeating their opponents.

Mu Lingxue then said to her. ”Sect Master, I donʼt know the ability of that female disciple of the Raging Thunder Sect, so I canʼt say for sure whether I can defeat her, but I will definitely try my best.”

”En.” Lian Bing nodded and briefly glanced at Nalan Qing but said nothing to her.

Seeing that, Nalan Qing clenched her fists tightly. ʼTch! You donʼt think of me anymore, but you donʼt want to let me go either!ʼ

”Wenʼer, you should be able to defeat your opponent, right?” Qin Shuang asked her nephew.

Qin Wen nodded to her. ”Iʼve faced him in the last competition, and I won easily from him then. Even though his cultivation has improved quite a bit, my development isnʼt bad either, so Iʼm sure I can still beat him easily.”

”Thatʼs good.” Qin Shuang then turned to her little brother, but she could only sigh in her heart after she noticed that he kept glancing at Lian Bing. ʼSigh, I donʼt know what to do with him anymore. I canʼt care about him anymore since he doesnʼt want to follow my advice.ʼ

Once the time came, Xuanyuan Xueʼer immediately asked them to prepare themselves, she then threw a signal in the air, and the competition between sects officially began.

However, since the Cultivator Peak wasnʼt that big, only three groups could fight simultaneously, and six participants were already standing face-to-face with their opponents.

Xuanyuan Xueʼer, Long Wei, and Feng Ruxue were the referees for each match.

Before they started fighting, Long Wei said to them. ”I know that all of you are very ambitious to win this competition. Even though I want to see all of you fight with all your abilities, I hope you donʼt injure your opponents too badly, let alone kill your opponents. After all, a great war awaits us, so we need a lot of manpower to repel the invaders who want to take our land.

Do you all understand?”

”Yes, Patriarch Long!”

”Since many matches await us, you guys can start fighting now.” Feng Ruxue said as she shot her phoenix flame into the sky.

The match officially started, and the six young cultivators immediately engaged their opponents. However, they were fighting very carefully because they didnʼt know the strengths and abilities of their opponents, so their fight went very slowly.

Seeing them like that, the other young cultivators became even more impatient, and they started screaming and booing them.

”Hey! If you guys arenʼt serious about fighting, it would be better to withdraw immediately so we donʼt have to waste time waiting for you guys.” Chen Zhong shouted very loudly, and those people also kept shouting at them, causing the six people to become anxious.

In the end, they increased the tempo of their battle, and they fought more fiercely than before. In just a few minutes, three winners had been determined, and the three judges immediately announced the results.

After that, the matches progressed faster, and Ling Xiya already started fighting her opponent.

At first, Ling Xiya had quite a hard time dealing with her opponent, especially since she was a ranged attack user. On the other hand, her opponent was a melee attack user, and his speed was also quite good, so he kept pressing her for a close combat.

However, Ling Xiya continued to dodge the personʼs attacks as she continued to look for openings to get away from him. After finding his opening, she immediately got as far away from him as possible and shot her sniper rifle to counterattack.

Even so, the person could fend off Ling Xiyaʼs attack, but she didnʼt give him a chance to get close to her again.

As she moved quickly to get away from her opponent, Ling Xiya continued to fire her sniper rifle at the man.

The spectators were shocked to see Ling Xiyaʼs weapon, for they had never seen a cultivator fight with a sniper rifle before, even more so when they saw that what came out of it was not a normal bullet but a Qi bullet. Seeing that, their opinion was split into two, some jeered at her, and some cheered in support of her instead.

”What the hell with her weapon?”

”Isnʼt she a cultivator?

”Why is she using a sniper rifle instead?”

”Tch! That woman is really a coward! She should be disqualified from this competition!”

”Hey! Thereʼs no rule against using that kind of weapon, right?

”Yes! She has the freedom to use any weapon!”

”Moreover, she doesnʼt use bullets but Qi, so she hasnʼt broken any rules.”

.

.

.

”Big Sis, have you ever seen a sniper rifle that can shoot Qi like that?” Xuanyuan Changʼer asked with a frown.

”This is the first time I have seen such a weapon, and her Qi bullet is much stronger than Sword Qi.” Xuanyuan Xueʼer replied as she continued to observe Ling Xiyaʼs movements. ”However, Iʼm more curious about her movement technique, for I know that the Ling Clan doesnʼt have that kind of movement technique.

If Iʼm not mistaken, sheʼs not a single combatant, and sheʼs more used to fighting side by side with one or more partners.”

Xuanyuan Changʼer raised her eyebrows and looked at Ling Yun and the others, and she was surprised when she saw Philia. ”Hey, Big Sis. This Ling Xiya seems to train with that white-haired woman in their group.”

Hearing that, Xuanyuan Xueʼer glanced at Philia and nodded in understanding. ”My hunch was correct; Ling Xiya is partnered with other people. However, I didnʼt expect that she managed to make a contract with a Gryphon; even I wouldnʼt be able to do that.”

Xuanyuan Changʼer agreed with that, for she knew that Gryphons were creatures that lived in groups, and they would jointly attack anyone who dared to disturb their group. ”In my opinion, Ling Yun subdued that Gryphon and helped Ling Xiya to form a contract with her.”

”Yes.” Xuanyuan Xueʼer nodded to her. ”After all, Ling Yun can transform into a gigantic black dragon, so he might as well use his dragon form to suppress those Gryphons, or else no one will be able to form a contract with any of them.”

While talking about that, they suddenly heard loud cheers, and both turned to Ling Xiya, who had already defeated her opponent.

Although the man suffered many injuries from Ling Xiyaʼs attack, Xuanyuan Xueʼer could see that his injuries were only light injuries; only the wounds on his two thighs were quite severe, for her Qi bullets penetrated them.

Xuanyuan Xueʼer directly announced the winner. ”The winner is Ling Xiya!”

At the same time, the matches in the other two arenas had also finished, but one was seriously injured, forcing Feng Ruxue to intervene.

.

.

.

”Hehe! I won, Big Brother!” Ling Xiya said as she jumped into Ling Yunʼs arms and kissed him.

Ling Yun briefly kissed Ling Xiya back. ”Even though you won, your fight was less effective, so you have to improve it in the second round later.”

”Yes.”

Ling Yun then turned to one of his aunts. ”Aunt Mingzhu, itʼs your turn now, and I want to see your progress.”
