Primordial 'Dual Cultivator' Dragon With System

Chapter 287: Shi Yao The Puppet Master

Ling Yun was incredibly amazed by Xiao Xiaoʼs fighting style. Unlike him, who had thought about taking his next step for too long, which made him slow to react. Her movements were much more agile and fluid, and she could see the openings to attack. She also knew how to defend against the puppetsʼ attacks very well.

In addition, her speed in executing her technique was also breakneck, and her opponent barely had a chance to counterattack.

Ling Yun clenched his fists very tightly, and he muttered in awe. ʼAn expert cultivator like Big Sis Xiao is indeed different. Her level is far above mine, so I must train harder to reach her level.ʼ

Ling Xi smiled faintly, knowing Ling Yunʼs thoughts. ʼThatʼs good! I hope you can maintain this mindset and never feel discouraged, let alone despair.ʼ

A few minutes later, the ten puppets couldnʼt move anymore; they just lay on the ground helplessly after receiving Xiao Xiaoʼs consecutive attacks. She then returned to Ling Yunʼs side, smiling faintly because the look in his eyes was even more excited than before. ”Do you remember everything clearly?”

”En.” Ling Yun nodded to her. ”Now I understand the difference between us.”

”However, you must remember that everyoneʼs fighting style is different, and you canʼt imitate someone elseʼs, so you also have to find your own fighting style. If necessary, you can create your own fighting style; that way more difficult for your enemy to face you.” Xiao Xiao taught him patiently and unhurriedly.

After all, Ling Yun was still a novice cultivator, so he needed time to adapt to actual combat.

Ling Yun nodded in understanding; he bought an item from the system shop and drank it immediately.

After that, Ling Yun asked her. ”Big Sis Xiao, please take out ten more puppets; I still want to fight with them.”

”All right.” Xiao Xiao complied with his request and went elsewhere, only Ling Xi to accompany Ling Yun.

”Why did you hide your true identity from Qiyue, Aunt Shi?” Xiao Xiao asked as she approached Shi Yao, who was standing pensively by the fish pond.

Shi Yao turned to her as she smiled faintly. ”The princess of the Xiao Clan is indeed different; you can even recognize my identity.”

”Heh. Who doesnʼt know Shi Yao, the Puppet Master? Your name and reputation in the Cultivator Realm are too loud.” Xiao Xiao replied with a chuckle, and she then curiously asked her. ”Why did you marry your daughter to a member of the Mo Clan? And why donʼt you teach her how to cultivate?”

Shi Yao sighed heavily and looked up at the sky. ”Little Xiao, Iʼm tired of everything and just want to live as an ordinary woman; thatʼs why I sealed my own cultivation. As for Qiyueʼs ex-husband, it was all my late husbandʼs decision, and I already forbade him. Still, he insisted on wanting her to marry him.”

”Once we become a cultivator, we can never return to ordinary people.” Xiao Xiao sneered at her. ”Because of your selfishness, Qiyue suffered in the end. Fortunately, she knows Yunʼer, or else she will suffer for the rest of her life.”

”Who is that man exactly? I feel something mysterious about him.” Since she first met Ling Yun, Shi Yao had already felt suspicious and curious about him.

”Heʼs a dual cultivator, and all the women living in this house are his women.” Xiao Xiao answered her with a meaningful smile. ”However, he is also the man who will shoulder the fate of this universe.”

”What!?” Shi Yao turned to Xiao Xiao abruptly, and her expression was shocked. ”The fate of the universe? Is that Xiao Yulanʼs prophecy?”

”Yes.” Xiao Xiao nodded to her. ”Iʼm staying here to train him to become a real cultivator. I hope you will help me train Qiyue and his other women because the responsibility that awaits him is weighty.”

”Dual Cultivator, huh?” Shi Yao muttered.

”You donʼt need to doubt him,” Xiao Xiao chuckled. ”Although he is a dual cultivator, he never treats his women as cultivation tools, and all of them are happy to be by his side. Trust me, Qiyue will be happy by his side, and you might as well.”

”Then why donʼt you be his woman too?” Shi Yao reversed Xiao Xiaoʼs words as she chuckled lightly; she was much more senior than her. Of course, she understood the meaning behind her last words.

Xiao Xiao was tongue-tied; she was at a loss on how to answer Shi Yaoʼs question, then she sighed softly. ”Iʼve known him since birth, and it would be weird if I became his woman.”

”Your excuses are too corny, Little Xiao.” Shi Yao turned to sneak at her.

Xiao Xiao gritted her teeth, wanting to refute. ”Tch-”

”What are you guys talking about, Mom, Xiao?” Liu Qiyue asked as she walked towards them.

They exchanged glances, and Xiao Xiao nodded to her. Then Shi Yao took a deep breath and spoke to her daughter. ”I will tell you all my secrets, Qiyue.”

”Oh? Suppose you mean secrets about you as a cultivator. In that case, you donʼt have to bother telling me because Ling Yun has already told me about that, and he intends to teach me to be a cultivator like you guys.” Liu Qiyue casually spoke, causing Xiao Xiao to stifle a laugh at Shi Yaoʼs reaction.

Shi Yao raised an eyebrow, it was not Liu Qiyue who was shocked, but instead, she was the one who was shocked by her daughterʼs words. She was appalled that Ling Yun could recognize her identity as a cultivator because she had already sealed her cultivation.

”Heʼs terrifying, huh?” Shi Yao turned to Xiao Xiao, who couldnʼt hold back her laughter, and she said to her daughter. ”You donʼt have to wait for him, Qiyue. Mother will teach you everything, and I will also pass on my techniques to you.”

”Really?” Liu Qiyue looked at her mother in surprise. ”Then what are we waiting for? Quickly, teach me right now.”

”Fine! Now you sit cross-legged and pay close attention to my words.” Liu Qiyue immediately carried out her motherʼs words, and Shi Yao immediately explained the basics of becoming a cultivator.

Seeing that, Xiao Xiao immediately left them and returned to Ling Yunʼs side to monitor his practice.

Shi Yao, who was teaching Li Qiyue to cultivate, she observed Ling Yun, who was still training with her senses. ”That young man is quite interesting. Although he is still clumsy and inexperienced, his mindset is excellent. He is not easily discouraged, let alone gives up.”

Then she looked back at her daughter, who was starting to absorb Qi from the air; she smiled and said inwardly. ʼLooks like you got a good man, my daughter. But you have to train hard to become stronger if you want to continue to stay by his side, or you will become a burden to him in the future.ʼ

.

.

Three hours later

Even though he still looked overwhelmed by the number of enemies, Ling Yunʼs movements became increasingly agile and fluid, his attack speed increased quite sharply, and his reactions were much better than before.

”Two down!” Ling Yun immediately flew into the air, then he mobilized his Qi, and soon eight swords made of different elements appeared around him. ”Time to end all of this.”

Ling Yun immediately swung his sword, and the nine qi swords charged at the remaining eight puppets and hit right in the middle of their chests. They were all nailed to the ground and unable to move anymore. He landed in their midst and panted heavily as the technique consumed almost all of his remaining Qi.

*Clap... Clap...*

”You did well, Yunʼer.” Xiao Xiao praised him as she walked over to him, then conveyed her assessment of his fight. ”Your sword technique is truly extraordinary, especially with your nine elements. But alas, the Qi consumption of the technique is too high, and you also forget one thing.

Your current enemies are mindless puppets, but if you attack straight like that toward the other cultivators, they will easily dodge your attacks.”

”I know.” Ling Yun was also aware of that and intended to continue to hone his fighting skills further.

”You must learn to control your Sword Qi at will. That way, you can outwit your enemies and give them surprise attacks.” Ling Yun nodded understandingly at her words, and Xiao Xiao smiled at him as she spoke again. ”Letʼs end todayʼs training and get some rest, and weʼll continue your training tomorrow.”

Ling Yun nodded and walked towards the house, and Xiao Xiao then spoke to Ling Xi. ”Looks like he really can be counted on to take on such a huge responsibility in the future.”

”Yes.” Ling Xi nodded to her. ”However, he still has to go through a steep road, and he also has to continue to hone his fighting skills even better.”

”What if you take him to the cultivator realm? If he continues to fight beasts, it can hone his fighting skills even faster.” Xiao Xiao expressed his opinion.

Ling Xi agreed with her. ”Youʼre right. Itʼs been quite a while since he fought beasts, so Iʼll take him there to train again tonight.”
