Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 737: Taking A World With You

Just like the demon soul before it, the Hollow Ancestor’s lingering obsessions were also washed away by the River of Forgetfulness.

Of course, there was no need. Under the power of the Demon World, the Hollow Ancestor was already “dead.” He had no chance of revival or even retaining his memories.

Surprisingly, although the power of death fought against the black lightning surrounding the soul, it failed to truly wipe its influence away.

If Liora had to say, the power of death had only wiped away 0.0001% of the destructive power.

If the Hollow Ancestor were to reincarnate in such a state, his new life was bound to be far from peaceful.

“But this is also a form of tempering. By experiencing reincarnation, you can slowly wash away the influence.”

“Perhaps after millions of reincarnations, you’ll be able to remove the Demon World’s influence…” Liora whispered as she watched the Hollow Ancestor’s soul disappear too.

She shook her head with a sigh.

“Sure enough, I’m still too kind for this world. My nature has remained untainted.”

“Although we were mortal enemies while alive, trying to kill each other for so long, I still know how to respect my enemies’ souls.”

“Which other Devil would choose to help their enemies?”

Fortunately, there was no one else to listen to Liora’s words. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to stop themselves from cursing her.

Considering the power of the Demon World remaining on the Hollow Ancestor’s soul, any strong person could tell that his future fate would be far worse than death.

Reincarnation after reincarnation, he would be troubled by the Demon World’s influence for millions of years. Although that influence could take many forms, it would not let him experience anything good!

Of course, Liora completely ignored that point.

After the two souls disappeared, she felt as though a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

Although she hadn’t signed a Devil Contract with either the Hollow Ancestor or Elaouthr, the fact that she hadn’t completed her side of the agreement had still troubled her greatly in the past.

Now, she felt completely free, knowing that the agreement had been fulfilled—even in a somewhat unconventional way.

Having dealt with this matter, she breathed a sigh of relief.

After organizing her thoughts, she raised her head and took one more look at the Veythalis World.

All three of its planes fell into her sight.

She knew that with the creation of the Underworld, all three of these planes would change greatly in the future.

“Unfortunately, these changes will not happen any time soon. Even if I speed up the flow of time around the Veythalis World, it will still take some time.” Liora concluded.

“There is no need to waste it here.”

“… It’s finally time to return to the Demon World.”

The moment those words fell, Liora’s figure blurred before it vanished from the Underworld.

No one knew she had even been there, including the newly born King of the Underworld, who was gathering ghosts to build Reincarnation.

—

No matter which Will of the World it was, and how autonomous they were, they all faced one major limitation: they could only unleash their full strength while within the boundaries of their own world.

This was the case for both the original Will of the Cosmic Universe and Liora.

Had its strength not declined as a result of the Hollow Ancestor’s sudden teleportation, the original Will would never have perished so easily under the power of the Tribulation, being the first to die in the confrontation.

Liora already knew this already and she felt it even more clearly as she stood outside the Cosmic Universe.

Since the distance between them was still small, she could sense that she was still capable of blessing herself, allowing her to unleash greater power than she normally could.

But once the distance between them grew wider, the amount of strength she could unleash would decrease. Until finally, she had no blessing at all.

That would be the case once she returned to the Demon World.

Having refined the Cosmic Universe and brought her strength to the Princess of the Demon World level, it was obvious that Liora would be unwilling to give up this advantage.

This was her greatest trump card, after all. Many of her future plans required its cooperation.

Fortunately, during the past few years, she had not wasted her time.

She had already thought of a loophole—a loophole only someone like her could exploit.

Looking at the Cosmic Universe, Liora showed a determined expression.

The next moment, her body broke down.

It didn’t transform into blood and flesh, but into a bottomless amount of cosmic dust.

Countless stars and worlds shone within its depths, all working together to create a beautiful landscape.

Cosmic Sea!

Liora’s less frequently seen but true form!

The instant it emerged, it revealed her true purpose.

The Cosmic Sea began to revolve. The cosmic dust transformed into countless tentacles that reached toward the Cosmic Universe.

One by one, the cosmic tentacles wrapped around the universe, like a spider weaving a web around its prey.

Then…

The tentacles dragged the universe toward the swirling cosmic dust!

A thunderous explosion echoed throughout the Origin Sea.

Under normal circumstances, the Cosmic Universe should have resisted the force of the tentacles.

Yet under Liora’s command, the universe showed no reaction.

Let alone fighting against them, it seemed to cooperate with them, allowing the tentacles to drag it into the Cosmic Sea even faster.

Slowly but surely, the universe got closer to Liora.

As it did, it rapidly shrank, as though making itself small enough for the Cosmic Sea to accommodate it.

It was unknown how much time had passed.

Before long, the universe was in front of Liora, having transformed into a single speck of light.

Then, of its own accord, it plunged into the cosmic dust.

Another, even more violent noise suddenly rang out.

The entire Cosmic Sea trembled!

Like a balloon enduring too much pressure, it looked ready to burst!

Clearly, “accommodating” the Cosmic Universe was not easy at all!
