Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 602: Complete Law & Cultivation Civilization Aura

Piece after piece.

Click after click.

Although the puzzle was composed of billions of tiny, unique pieces, Liora’s speed of thought and comprehension were extraordinary.

Combined with the fact that her soul suffered virtually no pressure, the trial had become remarkably easy for her.

Within only a few hours, she had fused together millions of pieces.

While maintaining the concealment around her body, she couldn’t help but raise her head and look at the people around her.

Everyone else was just like her, having concealed themselves in an attempt to prevent covetousness from others.

However, as one of the stars within the Cosmic Sea lit up, Liora’s gaze grew penetrating.

Her eyes passed through the concealing barriers, and she was able to take a glimpse at the scene inside.

Immediately, she understood that she had made the fastest progress, with a considerable gap between them.

The second-fastest participant had only fused a few thousand pieces. The difference between them and Liora was massive.

However, she had long expected it.

In her eyes, even the two Emperors were nothing remarkable when it came to strength, much less talent or soul power.

Even so, a brief trace of surprise flashed across her face.

Not because of the difference in their respective speeds, but because of the identity of the person trailing behind her.

It was neither the tentacled Emperor nor the Zerg Queen, whose mastery over the soul should have given her an overwhelming advantage.

Instead, it was a weak, “worthless” demon.

Elaouthr.

As Liora looked at him, she discovered that despite the impact on his soul, this demon didn’t pause at all and continuously fused together the puzzle pieces.

Although he failed more often than he succeeded, the speed at which he attempted to fit the pieces together surpassed that of everyone else.

“It truly deserves to be the favored one of the Will of the World.”

“Could it be that this inheritance appeared so that he can obtain this opportunity?”, Liora couldn’t help but think subconsciously, though she also had some other, more strange guesses.

In the end, she shook her head.

Shifting her attention back to herself, she looked back toward her own puzzle pieces.

But this time, she didn’t resume completing the puzzle.

By now, she had realized something.

The puzzle before her was not merely a game, and the pieces were not ordinary puzzle pieces.

As her gaze deepened, the pieces gradually changed within her vision.

Their physical forms became translucent before dissolving into countless intricate patterns woven together into a single whole.

Had it been anyone below Rank 7, they would never have guessed what these patterns signified.

However, anyone who had gone through the stage of a World Lord would realize immediately.

Each puzzle piece represented a fragment of a Law.

When every fragment was reunited, they formed a complete Law—a Law that had been comprehended to perfection.

A complete Law.

This was something that only Rank 11 Awakeners could access.

Awakeners below that level could only comprehend a small portion of a Law, yet it was still enough for their strength to skyrocket.

“This also confirms that the cultivation civilization was indeed part of the Cosmic Universe in the past. They were not extraterrestrial visitors that just so happened to come here.”

“Just like the phantom of the Heavenly Armor Pavilion claimed, they were the natives of this world billions of years ago. Or rather, in the previous Era.”, Liora finally confirmed this, ruling out one of her faint suspicions.

Organizing her thoughts, she cast one final glance at the puzzle before turning her focus inward.

Immediately, an illusory phantom appeared within the Cosmic Sea, one that looked exactly like her.

Compared to the last time she had taken a deeper look at it, the Cosmic Sea had expanded greatly.

Many Laws had been strengthened. The one with the most earth-shattering changes was that represented by the Human Emperor Star.

Sensing their connection, Liora knew that this was because the Human Emperor clone had gained deeper control over the Blood Forest Realm.

She nodded subtly.

However, she didn’t try to examine the changes any further.

Instead, her phantom turned its head, focusing on a certain world revolving around a distant star.

It resembled a giant scrapyard.

Millions—perhaps billions—of objects covered every inch of its surface, as though it was the garbage dump of an entire civilization.

Some objects were broken, others looked plain, while others shone with extraordinary brilliance.

Yet if any person of the Cosmic Universe were here, they would be stunned, unable to recognize any single one of them.

That was because none of these items could be found in the present Cosmic Universe.

They were items Liora had obtained in the Heavenly Armor Pavilion, as well as in the City Lord Palace.

None of them was actually useful. At least on the surface.

However, after Liora had come into contact with the complete Law in the outside world, she had another idea.

Her thinking changed.

As she looked at the many items, cosmic dust surged under her control.

Countless amounts of it descended upon the world and washed over it like the waves of a massive tsunami.

The moment the items came into contact with the cosmic dust, they all disintegrated.

They transformed into pure essence that tried to be integrated with the surrounding world and strengthen the Cosmic Sea.

But Liora stopped this from happening. With a wave of her hand, the essence of the cultivation items flew toward her.

More and more essence gathered together.

At first, it was no more than a few specks of light.

Soon, it had become a massive sphere whose size rivaled entire planets and then stars.

By the time all the cultivation items had been destroyed, a giant sun floated in one of the Cosmic Sea’s edges and bathed the surrounding worlds in its light.

Liora nodded. Then, her mind stirred.

Under her manipulation, the pure essence of the cultivation civilization was rapidly consumed. The glow of the sun grew increasingly dim.

For a brief moment, nothing happened. Only several moments later did the result appear.

A faint clicking sound echoed throughout the Cosmic Sea.

Right beside Liora, a small object composed of countless tiny patterns appeared. It resembled a tiny puzzle piece.

But it was not the only one. Soon, a second clicking sound rang out.

Another puzzle piece appeared. Then a third, and a fourth one.

Within mere seconds, millions of puzzle pieces materialized, each eerily similar to those Liora had observed in the outside world.

Yet even so, they showed no signs of stopping.

One million. Ten million. One hundred million.

They continued multiplying without pause.

Puzzle piece after puzzle piece was born before integrating with the rest of its “companions”, forming what appeared to be a giant image.

When the billionth piece finally settled into place, the last wisp of cultivation essence vanished.

Yet Liora showed no disappointment.

Because as soon as the billionth piece of the puzzle appeared, rapid changes started taking place in the Cosmic Sea.

Under her gaze, a new star slowly condensed, much like those formed whenever she plundered another being’s talents.

But unlike every other star within the Cosmic Sea, this one was fundamentally different.

The aura it exuded did not belong to the Cosmic Universe civilization. It was far more mysterious and ethereal.

Few people would recognize it. However, if Elaouthr or the tentacled Emperor were here, they would immediately recognize it.

The star possessed the aura of the cultivation civilization…
