Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 2302: Chapter 2303: Three Guidelines

After hearing this, Rhein immediately decided, ”I’m coming to meet you.”

A moment later, Rhein appeared amidst the vast mist.

Rhein wasn’t a stranger to this misty land. Angel had once brought him here to see the principal body of the Nightmare Realm. However, Rhein had never seen how the power was delegated from the principal body of the Nightmare Realm. This time, besides wanting to discuss the issue of the Tidal World with Angel, Rhein also had the intention to observe the power delegation up close.

”Where’s Sanders?” Rhein looked at Angel standing beside him.

Angel was about to say that Sanders hadn’t arrived yet when he received a notification that Sanders had logged in.

Without thinking, Angel changed Sanders’ location to the mist when he entered the Wilderness of Dreams.

Seeing Rhein by Angel’s side, Sanders was not too surprised. After nodding in greeting to Rhein, he said, ”Flora is still sorting out the blood impurities for Sumishe. She will come in later; before that, I will first reduce the Lus amount in Originheart City to below 10.”

Currently, the average Lus amount in the Wilderness of Dreams is above 10, especially near New City where many Transcendents have gathered, so Sanders adjusted the Lus amount near New City to above a hundred. Only a few places, because Sanders hadn’t attended to them, were set below 10.

Reducing the Lus amount in Originheart City to below 10 means that Originheart City cannot even be considered a micro-magic area in the future.

Angel was about to ask Sanders why he wanted to reduce it but saw that Sanders had already closed his eyes, his mind entering into power control.

Angel could only temporarily give up and wait to ask after Sanders finished adjusting.

While Sanders was adjusting the Lus amount, Angel looked at Rhein. ”Regarding the Tidal World...”

Rhein seemed to know what Angel wanted to say and waved his hand at him. ”The specifics of the Tidal World, let’s wait until Sumishe handles the power. However, I have had a perplexing question that I want to be answered for a long time.”

Angel: ”Please, Lord Rhein.”

”I want to know, where is the entrance to the Tidal World?”

From the information on the Mother Tree Interlinker and the rain raccoon and Traveling Frog seen a few days ago, Rhein was almost certain that the Tidal World was definitely on Edge Island. And the Tidal World must be closely related to the ’mystery of the elemental disappearance on Edge Island.’

This unsolved task hanging in the Task Hall of various Witcher Organizations had been explored by countless wizards but the truth was never found.

Where exactly is the door to the Tidal World, and why did it make so many wizards return without success?

How did Angel discover it?

This was the question Rhein was most eager to get an answer to.

Angel: ”The entrance to the Tidal World is in the underground vault of Shannon Royal Family.”

Angel explained in detail the situation of the Shannon Royal Family, why he went to the underground vault back then, and the process of discovering the Tidal World.

After hearing this, Rhein couldn’t help but sigh deeply, ”No wonder so many people couldn’t find it.”

The entrance to the Tidal World was hidden so secretly, not only underground but also in a gap as thin as a needle point in the stalactites. The crucial part is that at the entrance, there was a paper door painted by Feng, completely blocking energy auras, which is why all these years, countless wizards couldn’t find it.

Rhein still remembered that some Witcher Organizations within the Blood Origin Alliance held an internal event a millennium ago, sending hundreds of apprentices to different parts of Edge Island, searching in a grid pattern, hoping to find the mystery of the elemental disappearance.

At the time, it was a grand affair, with various magazine companies following the story. To save face, even some Official Wizards participated personally, but in the end, it still came to nothing.

Looking back now, it was understandable.

No matter how many apprentices there were, without Shapeshifting Technique, they couldn’t even enter the gap in the stalactites.

Even if they sent Official Wizards, and among them, some knew the Shapeshifting Technique, they still couldn’t enter the gap if the quality of the Transforming Soft-bodied Insects wasn’t up to standard or if the level of the Shapeshifting was insufficient.

Besides, it’s not like mudfish; who would drill into gaps for no reason?

”You really stumbled upon it by chance. If not for you, probably no one would find the Tidal World even after another thousand years,” Rhein remarked with emotion.

Angel, however, shook his head. ”I once thought it was a coincidence, but it’s not. Besides, even if I hadn’t gone looking for the Tidal World, over time, the great will wouldn’t allow the Tidal World to remain hidden.”

”Oh?” Rhein raised an eyebrow, as Angel’s words clearly conveyed two meanings: one regarding fate and the other concerning the observation of the great will’s trend.

Both of these are not something an ordinary Wizard can come into contact with.

”It’s a long story. I will explain it in detail to you, Lord Rhein, once this situation is over.”

Rhein nodded. By now, there was no rush for immediate answers.

While Angel and Rhein were conversing, Sanders finally woke up. After waking, he didn’t say anything but directly exited the Wilderness of Dreams.

Two minutes later, Sanders logged back in, and this time he wasn’t alone; Sumishe was with him.

”Sumishe and Flora are both learning the Dream Entering Technique, but the progress is concerning.” After logging in, Sanders said to Angel, ”At the moment, I’m still the only one who can pull them up.”

As Sanders was speaking, a tall and slender young man stepped out from behind him.

He first greeted Rhein with a bow, then walked up to Angel, eyes filled with a smile. ”I believe there’s no need for me to introduce myself; I’ve heard your name countless times from my mentor’s mouth, Angel.”

His speaking manner was very gentle and elegant, and when he mentioned Angel’s name, it carried a distinctive accent. Though not yet well-acquainted and meeting face-to-face for the first time with direct address, there was a feeling of old friends calling each other.

”This is our first official meeting. I should have specially prepared a gift for you, but regrettably, what I prepared cannot be brought into the Wilderness of Dreams. I will give it to you when we meet in the real world.”

”Then I will look forward to it,” Angel said, looking at the man in front of him—Sumishe.

Clad in a wizard robe of white with green patterns and red with golden trims, it was magnificent. His pale yellow long hair was tied up with a green thin string, leaving only a strand of hair across his forehead, just so it laid over his left eye.

The first impression Sumishe gave was one of handsome elegance, like a professor from the Academy Faction. But upon deeper inspection, one would find that Sumishe carried an inherent arrogant aura, clearly indicating that his inner self was different from his outer demeanor.

”Trust me, you will like the gift I prepared for you.” After finishing his sentence, Sumishe quickly winked at Angel with his right eye and leaned closer to Angel’s ear, whispering, ”Just to clarify, my gift wasn’t prepared because of the current situation. I had originally prepared it for you, but last time when I went to the Barbarian Cave, I happened to miss you. As for bearing the power this time, consider it a massive favor I owe you.”

Sumishe mentioned the owing favor proactively, so naturally, Angel wouldn’t refuse, though he hadn’t intended for Sumishe to pay any cost.

Sanders: ”If you’re finished, you should listen to me now.”

As everyone turned their attention to him, Sanders said, ”Angel, you’ve already understood Sumishe’s situation. I also told you last time that it would be best for Sumishe to bear a power related to Dream Realm creatures, as it aligns more with his Abyss of Magic Nightmare Realm.”

”However, the power of Dream Realm creatures is too vague, so I made a set of condition regulations.”

Sanders didn’t waste words and directly outlined the so-called condition regulations.

There were many regulations, but most were details. Overall, there were only three main regulations.

Or more appropriately, three constraints.

First, the Dream Realm creature born from this power must integrate into the energy system of the Wilderness of Dreams itself.

This means that creatures in the Dream Realm must align with the energy system constructed by Sanders, and currently, there are two energy systems in the Wilderness of Dreams: the virtual Magic Power constructed by Sanders, and the essential energy of the Wilderness of Dreams itself.

No matter which one Dream Realm creatures align with, they can avoid becoming overly deformed or chaotic.

Because in the Dream Realm, many creatures have completely nonsensical appearances and physiques, often as massive as continents and bizarre as evil spirits. This is caused by the unique nature of the Dream Realm.

After all—”Anything is possible in a dream.”

To avoid the situation where ”anything is possible in a dream,” these non-normative Dream Realm creatures must be directly eliminated, and the simplest way to achieve this is to integrate them into the energy system of the Wilderness of Dreams.

Because the energy system of the Wilderness of Dreams is created to be closer to reality.

The closer a dream is to reality, the more orderly it becomes, and order signifies norms.

Conversely, the less realistic a dream is, the more outrageous and disorderly it becomes, naturally attracting all kinds of bizarre Dream Realm creatures.

This is why Sanders set this restriction.

Second, the life energy level of Dream Realm creatures needs to align with the current energy level limitation of the Wilderness of Dreams.

This rule is still a restriction on the irregular development of Dream Realm creatures.

The current energy level limit of the Wilderness of Dreams is no higher than the level of a Third Level Apprentice. If Dream Realm beings are to comply with this limit, they can only reach a level comparable to a Third Level Apprentice, with at most some minor fluctuations.

In other words, even if Dream Realm creatures appear in the future, their power will be within the energy level limits set by Sanders, which can prevent most wild disasters.

Third, Dream Realm creatures will possess a strong inclination towards energy.

This inclination refers to the pursuit of energy.

This rule is set because Sanders understands that any creature, once it has a pursuit, will have a stronger sense of initiative and will not remain in eternal ignorance.

Sanders hopes to use this ”energy inclination” to let Dream Realm creatures, through having pursuits, slightly wake from the slumber of dreams.

This rule is considered Sanders’ design of an inherent trait for Dream Realm creatures, it can be seen as a kind of ideological stamp.

The choice of pursuing ”energy” over other pursuits is also due to Sanders’ consideration of various creatures’ instincts. Energy involves many facets, such as energy required for survival, energy needed for individual strength...and the methods of obtaining it are diverse. The more diverse the pursuit, the more it can lead to diversified development.

Moreover, Sanders himself also controls two energy-related authorities: ”Energy Selection” and ”Energy Level Limitation,” so even if Sumishe plays unrestrainedly, he can contain it himself.

Furthermore, there’s another point.

When Dream Realm creatures develop energy inclination, they will actively avoid areas with low energy density.

That’s why Sanders deliberately reduced the energy around Originheart City to below 10, to significantly prevent attacks on the human city by Dream Realm creatures.

After Sanders finished explaining the three rules, he looked at Angel: ”Have you remembered them?”

Since Angel would be the one to use the Scroll of Fortune, these rules are for him to remember.

Angel nodded.

Sanders: ”Actually, some additional restrictions could be added, such as distinctions between high-energy and ordinary creature births, but I’ve calculated carefully and under current conditions, Sumishe can handle them.”

Sumishe can currently bear at most one authority, so it’s best to maximize authority in one go, to avoid having to acquire sub-authorities again in the future.

”I’ve said everything that needs saying, so let’s begin.”

After speaking, Sanders took a few steps back, joining Lord Rhein, handing the stage over to Angel and Sumishe.

Angel turned to look at Sumishe, inquiring with his eyes.

Sumishe took a deep breath and nodded to Angel.

Receiving Sumishe’s confirmation, Angel looked up towards a certain spot in the mist, and as his gaze flickered, an orb, bound by green patterns, emerged into view.

With a gentle gesture, the orb appeared before Angel.

Sumishe: ”This, is this the Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain?”

Angel nodded.

Sumishe looked at the orb in shock, as he was no stranger to Nightmare Domains himself. It was his first time seeing such a massive, even materialized Principal Body of the Nightmare Domain.

Is this the difference between the Wilderness of Dreams and an ordinary Nightmare Domain?

”Are you ready?” Angel asked.

Sumishe controlled his emotions and nodded to Angel: ”Let’s begin.”

Angel acknowledged with a soft ”hmm,” extending his right hand. As his hand touched the orb, the green patterns binding it seemed to come alive, emitting a faint green glow while dancing around the orb.

The green patterns on the orb interacted noticeably with the green patterns on Angel’s right hand.

The green patterns arched gracefully, like newborn buds, unfurling their fresh green leaves in the faint glow.

Soon, all the green patterns converged, resonating with a lively frequency.

The orb itself, too, gradually began unsealing under this frequency.

When the frequency reached a certain threshold, Angel skillfully controlled one type of green pattern.

Binding, dissolving, fusing, passage, door.

The essence of the green patterns appeared before Angel’s eyes.

Before activating the ”dissolve” function, Angel didn’t forget the most crucial step: to open the Scroll of Fortune.

As the Scroll of Fortune was unfurled, various familiar geometric lines appeared before Angel’s eyes.

When the special energy represented by the geometric lines enveloped Angel, he knew, the ”Lucky Moment” had arrived.

The ”Lucky Moment” made Angel feel immensely comfortable, as if body and mind had entered an ethereal state, but Angel did not indulge in this state, knowing what he needed to do at the moment.

The three restrictions stated by Sanders quickly ran through his mind.

As the Lucky Moment was about to end, Angel, without hesitation, activated the link in the green patterns that represented ”dissolve.”
