Chapter 1736: Section 1737: Tide of Magical Creatures

Although Toby chose to confront them, relying on its thin consciousness to battle this terrifying horde of Magical Creatures was almost impossible. Therefore, other means must be employed to contend with the Magical Creatures.

If this were the first time facing the tribulation, Toby would probably be in panic by now, and if it couldn’t break through quickly, its ultimate fate would definitely be getting torn apart by the mob of creatures. This shows how frightening the Extreme Resentment Tribulation is; without the House of the Heart, the probability of failing the tribulation is almost ninety-nine percent.

However, with the assistance of the House of the Heart, Toby was much calmer at this moment.

Its calmness lay in the fact that it had confidence!

Even though this Snake Bird’s shell and this Mind Space were temporarily occupied by Extreme Resentment Thoughts, many of Toby’s powers were inaccessible, but that didn’t mean all abilities were gone.

In this pitch-black Mind Space, besides its small consciousness, there was another power it could control!

And that was—rage!

When Toby faced countless terrifying and enormous Magical Creatures with its tiny body, its scarlet eyes suddenly became covered with an emotion.

Frenzy and rage!

The rage not only gave Toby the courage to face these Magical Creatures but also transformed Toby into a level capable of competing with this mob of creatures — the Berserker Gryphon!

In this familiar yet strange Mind Space, Toby could control not only the consciousness of the seabird but also the consciousness of the Gryphon! Because this was the reward for surviving the Rage Tribulation!

Although Toby, after transforming into a Gryphon, still seemed small compared to the countless Magical Creatures, its power was not insignificant!

The ”Berserker Gryphon” could be mentioned in the same breath as the ”Jealous Snake Bird,” which was enough to demonstrate its strength!

Toby, having transformed into a Gryphon, aimed directly at the Black Bear charging from the front, unleashing a Sky-Scorching Flame. No matter how powerful the Black Bear was, it was still reduced to ashes in the face of the blazing flames.

After Toby burned a Black Bear to death, it suddenly paused for a moment.

So far, although the order of disasters encountered differed, everything was similar to the experiences in the House of the Heart. Whether it was the torrents of negative emotions, various traps, or these Magical Creatures, Toby had gone through countless times in the House of the Heart.

But just now, there appeared something different from the House of the Heart for the first time.

In the House of the Heart, once Toby transformed into a Gryphon and killed these Magical Creatures, nothing unusual would happen. But just now, after Toby killed the Black Bear, it felt a noticeable difference — it seemed to have gained control over more power.

After killing the Black Bear, it was as if Toby had broken through a layer of power shackles and became stronger! Specifically, the circle of flames around the Gryphon’s neck became more fierce and bright!

”What is happening?” Toby was a bit surprised. Why did killing a Magical Creature make it stronger?

Toby hadn’t figured out what was going on yet when a Tailfeather Bird engulfed in ghostly flames fluttered gracefully over. Its manner was elegant, but its power was quite concerning.

Toby swept its flaming tail, and the Tailfeather Bird was swatted aside with great force, Toby’s flames covering its green ghostly fire, and in the blink of an eye, the Tailfeather Bird was reduced to dust.

With the disappearance of the Tailfeather Bird, Toby once again felt an enhancement of power. The Gryphon grew even stronger!

Toby didn’t have time to ponder the reason further. It began to fight fiercely with the surrounding Magical Creatures, advancing as it battled, growing stronger with each fight. In no time, the Gryphon’s physique grew a whole round larger! This was a sign of increased power!

Each slain Magical Creature provided the Gryphon a bit of enhancement, a scenario never encountered in the House of the Heart experience.

”Could it be that these Magical Creatures are in fact incarnations of some kind of power? Killing them equates to subjugating that power, and thus it could be used by me?” Toby speculated. Because the House of the Heart could only simulate but not truly enhance power, this led to the difference from reality?

If the answer were really like this, then Toby would become even more confident. Because this meant the tribulation experience in the House of the Heart was even more challenging than the actual tribulation!

Having even passed through the House of the Heart, Toby now not only had the experience of the House of the Heart but also acquired stronger power. Why worry about not overcoming the tribulation!

With this thought, Toby’s movements became bolder, boldly confronting the attacking Magical Creatures.

Originally, in the House of the Heart experience, Toby could break through the encirclement of the Magical Creatures. Now it not only aimed to break through the encirclement but also sought to completely annihilate these Magical Creatures!

Among these Magical Creatures, there were ones stronger than Toby, such as a Black Bream traversing the Void.

According to Toby’s original experience, it would definitely not deal with such a powerful Magical Creature. Anyway, the Black Bream wasn’t very fast; as long as it cleared the other Magical Creatures, it could just leave the Black Bream behind. But now, Toby was different. It began to pick off weaker Magical Creatures, strengthening itself through killing these creatures. Once reaching a certain level, Toby started to challenge the Black Bream.

The Black Bream was very powerful, but facing an experienced and peak-strength Toby, the Black Bream still wasn’t a match.

In a very short time, Toby made the Black Bream completely disappear into the Void.

With the disappearance of the Black Bream, an even more massive power surged into the Gryphon’s body.

The Gryphon’s body once again swelled, the flames in the mane of its neck blazing several meters high, and even the brightness of the flames increased significantly from thin air.

Toby felt the enormous power, noting that after the Black Bream’s power entered, the Gryphon seemed to have reached the limit of what was possible in reality, meaning the Gryphon had reached its capacity limit. Would continuing to kill Magical Creatures break this limit?

If it exceeded the limit, then these Magical Creatures would be even less of a concern.

With this wonderful vision in mind, Toby continued into a battle frenzy.

However, when Toby killed a few more Magical Creatures, the Gryphon’s power did not increase further, indicating it could only reach the real-world limit.

Although a bit disappointed, being able to control such a powerful Gryphon to face the final battle was already very good.

Toby continued to break through the shackles of the Magical Creatures. As more and more Magical Creatures fell to its flames, it got closer and closer to the endpoint.

Upon sensing Toby’s unstoppable momentum, Extreme Resentment Thoughts began to change its tactics.

It made the tide of Magical Creatures gradually spread out, of course not to give Toby a path, but to make room for a giant Magical Creature.

A massive vortex appeared directly in front of Toby.

Compared to previous vortexes, this one’s magnitude was not on the same level. Even though there was still some distance between Toby and the vortex, it still felt an unprecedented pull.

With the power of the Gryphon, Toby could afford to ignore the pull, but what it was really interested in now was, what kind of Magical Creature was corresponding to this vortex?

Killing the Magical Creatures would enhance one’s power, an experience that the House of the Heart lacked.

At the same time, the appearance of such a massive vortex in the dark Void was also something Toby had not seen in the House of the Heart.

The former change was beneficial to Toby. However, the latter change might turn into a disaster for Toby.

Moreover, this kind of disaster could very well be something never experienced in the House of the Heart... an unknown peril!
