Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1948: Chapter 5: The Road of Choosing a Path

So he doesn’t plan to stay here for long. Once this Grand Elder finishes his explanation, he will leave.

”Let’s go and take a look.”

Jia Yan said to Wu Peili.

”Alright, let’s go and see.”

Jia Yan had no clue that this alien female actually planned to leave with him.

On the other side, Luzhi seemed to have a similar feeling, constantly watching Jia Yan as if afraid he might run away.

But Jia Yan was not going to run away. At this moment, he hadn’t fully grasped that these two wanted to leave with him.

After all, he couldn’t fathom that these individuals of the Forest Human Race would want to leave this forest.

The three of them left Wu Peili’s room, exiting the gigantic tree hollow, heading to a nearby location.

Indeed, they were walking. Although Jia Yan hadn’t used his six legs to walk for quite some time, he could still move.

As for flying, he didn’t even consider it, especially after hearing that the Grand Elder mentioned a prohibition on flying, he entirely abandoned the idea.

It is said he is very strong, so Jia Yan thought it wise not to offend him.

Moreover, knowing that even such a powerful being couldn’t fly, Jia Yan felt confident his ability to fly using his wings could be quite promising.

At the very least, if he can’t win, he can still fly away.

Of course, many species are capable of flying, and the sky holds powerful creatures too, even for strong ones like this race, they live cautiously within the forest, making Jia Yan wary of flying recklessly.

”This time, they are using the path of passage method; only those who can reach the Grand Elder can hear his teachings.”

That Luzhi spoke to Wu Peili.

Of course, he was also addressing Jia Yan.

”Path of passage?” Jia Yan was stunned.

”It’s not surprising you don’t know. The path of passage is unique to our species, laid down personally by the Grand Elder when he returned to our people. If you’re unfamiliar, you’ll have a good chance to experience it soon.”

”As for the Grand Elder, introducing this path of passage during his teachings, perhaps there’s something unique? If it’s a subtle teaching, then we must strive to pass the path of passage to leave others in awe.”

Luzhi and Wu Peili were very excited about the path of passage.

Because they knew, every time the Grand Elder creates a path of passage, it signals the release of important messages during his teachings.

There was once a strong one from their species, after hearing a teaching through the path of passage, their strength exploded on the spot, reaching the level of the Grand Elder, though still far from the Grand Elder’s true power.

But that was a matter of great joy to the entire species.

They both desired that if through the path of passage they could achieve a breakthrough, their journey out would be more natural and confident.

As Jia Yan listened to their words, he absorbed and understood their information.

Their discussions contained so much valuable information for Jia Yan to digest.

In fact, over these days, through their conversations, he had gleaned a lot about the knowledge of this world.

Especially regarding this world’s cultivation knowledge, he learned a considerable amount.

For example, people in this world also have to cultivate, and they do it with more precision than the creatures from Jia Yan’s previous universe, and the energy they absorb seems inexplicable, a mystical force.

”True Qi... Oh my, has this turned out to be a cultivation world?”

Jia Yan kept venting, though in his previous universe, every powerful strong one required substantial training to reach high levels, the systematic cultivation here was entirely different.

Here, cultivation even subtly defies physical laws, often breaching basic scientific rules.

This made Jia Yan fully understand that the world he now exists in is filled with a heavy fantasy element.

”Since I’ve become so small in this world, my strength likely isn’t too powerful, why not explore what this world’s Dao and cultivation methods are all about.”

Jia Yan was quite open-minded, knowing that regardless of the world, his strength and talent were satisfactory, which always came in handy. As long as he slowly improves, even though the strong ones here are formidable, Jia Yan believes with his beast evolution gift and inherent power and tenacity, he will certainly carve out a future here.

Perhaps even find a quicker way to return to the original universe.

”We’ve reached the path of passage.”

The two large forest human youths paused before an enormous tree.

And here, Jia Yan saw all sorts of human-like strong ones, either walking or riding ants, or various other insects to arrive.

Truthfully, Jia Yan observed that humans in this world are similar in size to mosquitoes, maybe even tinier than ordinary mosquitoes.

Of course, Jia Yan himself isn’t very large either, but seeing so many tiny humans, he couldn’t help but comment.

And the tree they approached, compared to Jia Yan with a mosquito’s size, had a diameter of ten meters thick.

However, considering Jia Yan’s present size of five kilometers, this giant tree could indeed be thousands of kilometers in diameter.

It’s almost as large as Earth.

If considering Jia Yan’s scale as just a small mosquito, this notion is more digestible.

On this enormous elderwood, there’s a long rope bridge, connected to a tree branch, forming a natural path.

”This is the so-called path of passage, anyone who steps onto it must endure its tests. Leaving it means disqualification and becoming unable to hear the Grand Elder’s teachings today.”

Luzhi said this.

”Alright, let’s go over.”

Both young participants were clearly seasoned with such path assessments, quickly stepping onto the bridge with familiarity.

After hesitating briefly, Jia Yan also stepped on.

As soon as he stepped on, he sensed a colossal pressure emanating from the bridge or the giant tree before him.

Jia Yan trembled slightly but stabilized his form.

”Hey, why do I feel this pressure isn’t as overwhelming?”

Jia Yan found it peculiar, having prepared to be heavily burdened by the power of the rope bridge.

Yet now, though the pressure was strong, it wasn’t unbearable.

As Jia Yan felt curious,

in some part of the elderwood, an elderly creature bearing semblance to humans but likely unrelated, slowly opened its curious gaze.

”That outsider, my power originally laid here cannot suppress him?”

”How strange, his Dao doesn’t appear too formidable, yet his strength almost disregards mine, who is he?”

The white-bearded elder, after some surprise, faintly observed Jia Yan.

Meanwhile, Jia Yan, slowly crossing the bridge, seemed to perceive something and slightly tilted his head up.

”Huh...”

The white-bearded elder, upon being glanced at by Jia Yan from below, suddenly felt a heavy pressure on his heart.
