Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1856: Chapter 4: Proxy War

“Although the Crystals of God are not very rare in our Divine Spirit Major Domain, their functions are numerous, so the price remains extremely high. If you want to acquire them in large quantities, I estimate it’s unlikely.”

After some hesitation, Lord Luo Longsi said this.

Jia Yan quickly analyzed the key points in her words.

“Then tell me, how can one obtain money within this Divine Spirit Major Domain? No, or rather, what’s the currency in the Divine Spirit Major Domain?”

Upon hearing Jia Yan’s question, Lord Luo Longsi hesitated again. Being a creature from within the Divine Spirit Major Domain, it is also her homeland, and to her, she didn’t want to cause more harm to it after already having betrayed it.

However, while she remained silent, someone else was willing to speak.

The Scorpion Divine Spirit, who had found a Galaxy Level husband, interrupted their conversation and directly spoke.

“Lord, there are many ways to obtain gold and silver within our Divine Spirit Major Domain. But for those of us at our level, the simplest way to obtain a significant amount is to assist certain god systems or divine spirits in attacking other god systems and divine spirits.”

“This method of combat is called war agents by other divine spirits.”

“Within our Divine Spirit Major Domain, it’s not completely peaceful. Divine spirits compete for power, land, and population, and there is no unclaimed land, leading to the outbreak of wars.”

Through the words of this Scorpion Divine Spirit, Jia Yan quickly understood that the agent war was simply divine spirits not wanting to act themselves. They would hire weaker ones, like demigods or even weaker ones, to lead their armies to battle. The winner would relatively obtain more land.

Of course, this is generally a more moderate approach, and it takes a long time for both sides to determine a victor. If it’s a more violent approach, it involves direct combat between divine spirits. Although within this Divine Spirit Major Domain, it is said that direct hand-to-hand combat between divine spirit creatures is not recommended, in reality, their combat opportunities are no less frequent than those between Galaxy Level strong ones outside.

Galaxy Level strong ones have many cultivation methods that still rely on outside resources, but divine spirits inside the Divine Spirit Major Domain cannot succeed without vying for population and land, so they must fight.

“Under such a system, it’s impressive that the Deity System can be so developed.”

Jia Yan thought that there must be other reasons why these strong ones of the Deity System are more than those outside. However, this was not what he needed to consider right now. He just needed to think about how to obtain money within the Divine Spirit Major Domain through this agent warfare system.

“Let’s not even talk about purchasing Crystals of God; we don’t even have a single penny to maintain and recharge the Adisa. Coupled with the need to buy battleships, it seems trying out this agent war is necessary.”

Jia Yan’s words left Lord Luo Longsi unable to refute, as she only wanted their party to cause as little trouble in this Starfield as possible. Yet, without the means to sustain even daily life, there was no reason for her to maintain such a pretentious kindness.

Once the real killing started, she might not be any softer-hearted than others.

After making future plans, the Adisa smoothly flew to the inner edge of the Divine Spirit Major Domain.

This marked their group officially embarking on a new adventure in the Divine Spirit Major Domain.

Although it’s called an adventure, just flying in the Starry Sky, anywhere in the Universe is largely the same. Apart from occasionally seeing merchant freighters of the spiritual series with different styles pass by, at other times, it was almost pitch-black.

Compared to the size of the Universe, whether it’s a planet or anything else, they are all too small. Even traveling in this Starry Sky, unless deliberately approaching stars and planets, it was almost impossible to encounter people, reducing incidences of slaughter and various grudges.

Unfortunately, beings are just beings. Even at Galaxy Level, or Star River Level, they probably wouldn’t be content to lose direction alone in the vast Star Sea.

“Master, there is a part of the Starry Sky ahead that seems to be at war.”

On a certain day, while Jia Yan and a group of subordinates remained in the somewhat crowded Adisa in silence, the Adisa released a small mosquito Light and Shadow, addressing Jia Yan.

“Oh? A war, is it? Perfect, I was just thinking about whether there might be an opportunity to implement our earlier ideas. Now we can go take a look.”

Jia Yan, upon hearing this, was delighted and ordered the Adisa to turn towards that direction.

“Luo Longsi, you mentioned before that if we encounter a war in the Starry Sky and have the intention, we can apply to become agents on one side?”

Jia Yan inquired.

“Yes, Lord. But it would be very dangerous for us to just head over like this. First, we don’t know the strength of both sides, and secondly, going over recklessly might lead to being treated as intruders with unknown intentions. We should first communicate with them to understand their strengths and the reasons for their battle before carefully considering.”

Lord Luo Longsi did not mention that sometimes in these wars, neither party wants to hire any agents. When Jia Yan approaches them, there’s a high chance of being scolded or beaten. If unlucky, encountering a Divine King or even a Divine Emperor engaged in battle would be disastrous for them.

Luckily, after connecting to the communication from one side of the battle close to them, Luo Longsi let out a breath of relief because she could immediately tell that it was merely a Divine Spirit Level creature.

“Who might this fellow divine spirit be, and what brings you here? We are at war, and your sudden approach might be perceived as hostile.”

The divine spirit on the other end of the communicator saw Luo Longsi, his expression subtly shifted, and he asked calmly.

Normally, during wars within the Godly Domain, it’s rare for other divine spirits to intrude and become war agents. He hadn’t considered this possibility.

However, Luo Longsi’s words reminded him of it.

“Greetings, fellow divine spirit, this is the Luo Longsi God division. We are agent divine spirits roaming and battling in the starry sky. Are you interested in hiring some capable agents for your war?”

Luo Longsi’s words left the other party stunned.

He had considered hiring some competent agents before the war, but his finances only allowed for a few demigod-level agents. Divine Spirit Level beings were out of scope for this war, and he simply lacked the money.

In this Divine Spirit Major Domain, the so-called money is actually the Crystal of Belief.

“Well, Lord Luo Longsi, I don’t have the finances to hire divine spirits from your ranks. You must know, I’m just a regular divine spirit, newly promoted, merely trying to seize the opponent’s territory.”

The young divine spirit straightforwardly expressed his purpose, not considering it unethical. Every young divine spirit acts in such a fashion. Others might become an itinerant agent divine spirit like Luo Longsi, though those have a high mortality rate. Survivors are never weak.

This is why the young divine spirit’s expression shifted dramatically upon learning that Luo Longsi was an agent divine spirit, showing such respect.

In his words, he didn’t express unwillingness to hire agents; he simply couldn’t afford Divine Spirit Level ones. It’s common for a regular divine spirit conflict; hiring divine spirits of the same level is too costly and unnecessary.

Of course, circumstances vary, and nothing is absolute. Some inexperienced divine spirits hire a group of divine spirits to clear a territory, and when others try to deal with him, they discover he’s a ‘God’s Second Generation,’ with a powerful divine king or divine emperor as a parent, making them hesitate to act.

“Fellow divine spirit, it’s unfortunate you won’t hire divine spirits. However, we offer not only divine spirits but also agents with demigod or golden level strengths for your selection. Here’s our demigod-level Giant Tribe expert. Hiring him guarantees he can battle against a group of demigods. The price is reasonable. What do you think?”

Luo Longsi introduced Jia Yan at the right moment.

The divine spirit glanced at Jia Yan, feeling a vague suspicion as Jia Yan’s appearance suggested power beyond simplicity. Even through the screen, he sensed that this creature, as large as himself, might not be weaker than him.

“Is this the Giant Tribe? A majestic appearance. What is his price?”

The divine spirit hesitantly asked, unsure he could afford to hire a demigod with more Crystals of Belief.

“Lord, since this is our first collaboration, we’ll give you a 20% discount on this demigod. Just pay one thousand Crystals of Belief.”

“One thousand… this price is reasonable. Alright, I’ll hire him and hope I won’t regret it.”

“Lord, won’t you hire anyone else? Here are a few golden-level Giant Tribe members. Look at their size; one would mistake them for divine spirits.”

Luo Longsi continued to market the nearby stellar-level strong ones, but evidently, the divine spirit wasn’t interested in golden-level agents.

“No need, just him. I’ll pay the Crystals of Belief now and hope he will be effective immediately.”

“He surely will be. Jia Yan, you heard that, right? Help this lord win the war properly, understood?”

Faced with Luo Longsi’s pretended ‘command,’ Jia Yan, disguising himself as a ‘demigod’ and only releasing simulated divine spirit strength, nodded respectfully.

“Understood, Lord Luo Longsi. I won’t disgrace our God division.”

With that, the enormous creature flew out from the Adisa, quickly heading towards the direction of the war.
