Naruto: Adopted Son of Minato

Chapter 137: NASM: Chapter 137

”Okay, Hiroshi, go on then. Don’t be late! Today’s sure to be fun. Don’t be late!” Kushina said, smiling and nodding.

Hiroshi nodded. ”Okay, Kushina-aunt. I’ll go now. You rest.”

Kushina nodded, and Hiroshi reached the front door and left the house.

”Having breakfast before school is so nice. It’s been a while. When I lived alone, I never ate breakfast, and my cooking wasn’t as good as Kushina-aunt’s,” Hiroshi thought as he walked down the street.

Naruto’s birth was drawing closer, meaning the Fourth Hokage and his wife would soon die—something Hiroshi desperately wanted to avoid.

”Time keeps passing. I’m getting scared. Naruto’s birthday is in a few days. How will I face reality then?” Hiroshi thought of Naruto and whispered.

No child wants their parents to die, whether from old age, illness, or accident. They all want their parents to be healthy.

But fate seemed to be playing a cruel joke on Hiroshi. He’d been an orphan in his past life, and now, just when he had parents and felt their love, he was about to lose them again.

”God, are you playing with me? Just when I have parents, you’re going to make them sacrifice themselves? What have I done to deserve this punishment?”

”But don’t joke about my family! If you want to punish me, punish me directly!” Hiroshi looked up at the sky.

He knew the world was cruel, but he still spoke these words.

He could only change his own fate and Naruto’s. He might influence those around him slightly, but that wouldn’t change the world’s circumstances.

”Forget it. I shouldn’t think about this now. I need to improve my strength as quickly as possible. I want to do something to save them when the Nine-Tailed Fox attacks Konoha,” Hiroshi shook his head and thought.

Lost in thought, he reached the school gates and saw Harumiko approaching.

”I have such amazing luck with this girl. She really is the most important person in my life,” he thought.

”Harumiko!” Hiroshi called out.

Harumiko’s face lit up, and she ran towards him.
