Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1704 Two Demonic Cultivators...?

”Hm? That is…”

As the battle continued inside the Frozen Wastelands without showing any signs of coming to an end, Xuan Haoʼs divine sense soon managed to observe the changes that were taking place inside of the Frozen Wastelands, causing the aura of life to flourish. The changes in question being the formerly barren wastelands being covered in a thick blanket of pine trees that came in all kinds of different varieties.

However, the thing that caught his attention was not so much the different pine trees, but instead the cause behind their appearance in the first place, an all too familiar tree root that had been cut off and was now moving throughout the Frozen Wastelands caring with it a profound aura of life that caused life to spring up wherever it passed. From a glance alone, it was clear that this tree root hadnʼt been forcibly cut off but had been deliberately released to spread the Dao of Life throughout the Frozen Wastelands.

Even worse for the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands who should be busy fighting the owner of the tree root, this tree root was capable of existing on its own without any support from the main body, while at the same time being slippery enough to evade the pursuit of three different Demon King Realm demonic cultivators.

And… From how fast the Dao of Life was spreading throughout the Frozen Wastelands, it was clear that it wasnʼt just a single tree root that had been tasked with this. Calculating based on how fast the tree root he could see was spreading the Dao of Life, he calculated that there should at least be a dozen other tree roots causing havoc throughout the Frozen Wastelands. If not, the demonic cultivators wouldnʼt just have sent three Demon King Realm demonic cultivators to chase after one of them.

All things considered; the demonic cultivators now found themselves stretched extremely thin due to the chaos caused by the spiritual tree. Unknowingly resulting in the different battlefields against the Northern Central Region stabilizing before showing signs of being pushed back.

The different major powers of the Northern Central Region had clearly also noticed that the demonic cultivators had their hands full dealing with what they considered to be a second unknown Profound Immortal Realm cultivator. Only the second one seemed far stronger than the first and had begun to fight the ruler of the Frozen Wasteland. Lending them a hand in stabilizing their current situation.

Inaction this time around was understandable, as they had no idea about what the spiritual tree might do if they attempted to lend it a hand. After all, it wasnʼt a human, but a tree. In its eyes, if it had any, everyone might very well be considered enemies. For this reason, it was better to just leave it with the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands. Allowing it to cause as much damage as possible inside the Frozen Wastelands.

However, the battle between the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands and the spiritual tree seemed to be coming to an end soon. Not because one of the two were about to win and overwhelm the other, but instead because something had been awakened in the depths of the Frozen Wastelandʼs core territory… And that something had clearly scared the spiritual tree away, as it had already started retreating the second it sensed a presence no weaker than the current ruler of the Frozen Wastelands.

While it might have been confident in dealing with the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands after changing the environment to one that was more suitable for it to display its full strength, it also understood that there was no way for it to contend against two demonic cultivators at the Land Creation Realm.

Although the damage to the Frozen Wasteland was minimal and would recover in a few yearsʼ time on its own, the revelation of there being a second demonic cultivator at the Land Creation level hidden inside the core of the Frozen Wastelands was more than enough to him, as it helped give him a better understanding of the Frozen Wastelands and also see what it was that they relied on to challenge the major powers of the Northern Central Region.

After all, even a major power standing at the peak of the Northern Central Region only had a single Profound Immortal cultivator in the Land Creation Realm- at least according to the information that had been left behind by the old founder of the Flying Sword Sect.

How accurate it was, he had no idea but given what the Blue Sea Empire had shown outwardly in terms of strength so far, he felt that it would be understandable for them to have an old ancestor at the Land Creation Realm hidden away somewhere in their capital city. Even more so after seeing the Land Creation Realm Monk from the Golden Nirvana Temple that was said to be equal to the Blue Sea Empire in terms of strength.

…

Boom! Boom! Boom!

”Why did this dumb tree decided to go all out in attacking me!? Iʼm not the one with the enlightenment orb!”

At the same time Xuan Hao was casually observing the situation playing out in the Frozen Wastelands from afar, the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands found himself entangled with a towering tree that stretched tens of thousands of meters into in sky, countless branches, vines, roots were constantly trying to grab hold of him and trap him before forcibly devouring his life essence in a way not much different from how demonic cultivators devoured the life essence of other cultivators after killing them.

The main difference here was that the towering spirit treeʼs profound comprehension of the Dao of Life allowed it to add this life essence draining effect passively. Shaving away a bit of its opponentʼs life essence every time it hits.

If they were equal in strength, he, as the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands, would be more than capable of holding his own in his own home. Regrettably, the strength of the spiritual tree exceeded his own and not just by a single minor realm, but two!

He himself was at what could be considered the Middle Stage of the Land Creation Realm in terms of strength, while the spiritual tree had reached the Peak of the Land Creation Realm and even seemed to have taken its first step into the Star Creation Realm.

Under normal circumstances, he wouldnʼt have stood a chance against the spiritual tree, but it was currently in a weakened state that allowed him to fight it somewhat equally if one ignored his rapidly declining life essence.

The thing was… As it absorbed his life essence, the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands could clearly see the massive sword scar that had cut through more half of the spiritual treeʼs massive trunk slowly starting to mend and heal.

Although he had no idea who this spiritual tree had been fighting before it had shown up, it was clear that the other party was no weaker than it was at its peak state. Potentially even stronger… And it was this single sword scar that had allowed him to contest with the spiritual tree so far. After it recovered from it, he would be at its complete mercy and would be forced to rely on the countless formations he had set up throughout the Frozen Wastelands over the years.

But… He wasnʼt willing to use those formations to deal with the spiritual tree.

Not just because it would reveal one of his trump cards to the Northern Central Regionʼs major powers, but also because he wouldnʼt be able to use those formations more than once, as they had already spent thousands of years slowly accumulating power.

By now, the combined might of those formations had almost certainly exceeded the Land Creation Realm and reached a level where they could kill someone in the Star Creation Realm if caught off-guard.

This kind of trump card, he wasnʼt willing to use on a spiritual tree in the Land Creation Realm-

Whoosh-!

And for this reason, he decided to contact one of his friends who had remained in secluded cultivation in the core of the Frozen Wastelands without revealing himself since waking up from a deep slumber a few years earlier. Having him come join him in taking on the spiritual tree.

Even though this did reveal some of the Frozen Wastelandʼs strength, it allowed the formations he had been building up remain hidden. Not showing that the Frozen Wastelands had the ability to deal with someone in the Star Creation Realm.

RUMBLE~!

As a result, the spiritual tree almost instantly changed, as it uprooted itself, shrunk in size before rapidly disappearing into the distance. Not daring to deal with two demonic cultivators at the Land Creation level in its current state.

In the end, there was nothing the two demonic cultivators could do to stop the spiritual tree, as it also displayed a deep understanding of the Dao of Space as it ran away. Disappearing without giving them the slightest chance of catching up.
