Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1454  Uncertain Heart

”…”

Watching how the winged lion demon beast ended up getting beaten up by the rabbit demon beast without any ability to fight back against its overwhelming speed that had already reached a level comparable to the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm, Xuan Hao decided to not interfere and just look the other way.

After all, it was the winged lion demon beast that had ended up causing trouble by seeking out the rabbit demon beast for a duel as soon as its strength had broken through to the Sixth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. Eager to claim its spot as the strongest among the two of them.

Roooar!?

Filled with disbelief as it saw its master briefly appearing before turning around and leaving after seeing its pathetic state, the winged lion demon beast steeled itself as it silently vowed to increase its strength even further so it could win against the rabbit and regain its honor.

Unfortunately for the winged lion demon beast, the brief battle between the two of them had helped the rabbit demon beast loosen the bottleneck for the Dao Seed Realm. Allowing it to silently begin the process of progressing towards the Peak of the Sixth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. After which it would be able to directly take on the final seventh tribulation and smoothly break through to the Dao Seed Realm.

All of this without the winged lion demon beast knowing that it was the main force behind this increase in strength.

…

Arriving back inside his cultivation room after the short trip to the border and having mostly ignored the battle between his two pets, Xuan Hao didnʼt waste any time as he directly sat down and began focusing his attention on comprehending the Dao of Space.

For the first time in some time, he felt that his strength was far too weak, as he understood that there would have been no real way for him to fight back if the Demon King Realm demonic cultivator that had been behind the situation at the border had decided to make a move and attack.

The only reason he had managed to get out without having to engage in a battle with that demonic cultivator being because of the special ability of his divine void eyes that allowed him to shatter space and his high comprehension of the Dao of Space scaring off the demonic cultivator.

If not for that, it was highly likely that the demonic cultivator would have decided to make a move to ensure that the qi and blood he or she had used didnʼt end up benefiting others.

Of course, even if the situation could be considered to have been dealt with for now, he also understood the inherent danger of a demonic cultivator at the Demon King Realm now having his or her attention focused on the Star Shattering Sect.

For this reason, he made sure to contact Xuan Gui on his way back to the sect. Asking her about the presence of any Demon King Realm demonic cultivators, while also informing her about what had just happened.

However, to his surprise, Xuan Gui had no idea about this Demon King Realm demonic cultivator being there. At least confirming that the presence of this Demon King Realm demonic cultivator wasnʼt among those currently launching attacks throughout the border regions of the Frozen Wastelands. Meaning that he would at most have to deal with a single Demon King Realm demonic cultivator instead of having to fear a potential response from the entire Frozen Wastelands.

After all, even though the attention and killing intent of one Demon King Realm demonic cultivator was bad, it was far better than ending up as the focus of the entire Frozen Wastelands. Having to deal with the monitoring from the blue Sea Empire was already bad enough and though there hadnʼt been any problems so far, it would only be a matter of time if the scrutinizing gaze of the entire Frozen Wastelands was included.

For now, it would be best if the Star Shattering Sect was just a suspected ancient hidden sect in the eyes of the Frozen Wastelands and nothing more, as they would most likely just choose to ignore it and focus on other locations instead…

Shaking his head as he thought about this while trying to comprehend the Dao of Space, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly at himself as he realized that he couldnʼt really focus on comprehending the Dao of Space at the moment.

The thoughts of the dangerous situation that the Star Shattering Sect found itself in and his insufficient strength to protect the sect in case something happened prevented him from having the peaceful state of mind required to comprehend the dao.

Although not the first time something like this had happened, it did end up preventing him from entering a state of comprehension before he got rid of the useless feeling of fear that had unknowingly creeped into the back of his mind.

Using a soul calming technique was an option and one he had chosen in the past when encountering such problems, but instead of that, Xuan Hao decided on taking a different path to calming his uncertain heart. Take a walk around the sect and see how everything has developed since he had installed the teleportation formations across the Shattered Star Peaks

The method wasnʼt that special, so to speak, but it would help him calm down by getting out of the stuffy cultivation room that he had been locking himself inside of for the past few months.

At the same time, he also felt interested in seeing how the alchemy hall had developed after he had managed to finish off the related sect quest, as it should have grown a lot with the influx in disciples and the increased number of Master Realm Alchemists among the alchemy elders.

Not forgetting that the increased number of alchemy disciples and the higher realm of the alchemy elders should have caused the overall number and quality of potions and pills in the sect to increase. Understandingly making it easier for the rest of the sect to get their hands on these alchemy products.
