Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1416  Sneaking Through the Star Shattering Sectʼs Territory (3)

”Hm? He finally reached the Iron Sky Kingdom?”

The moment that the demonic cultivator stepped inside the Iron Sky Kingdom, Xuan Hao instantly noticed him, as the formation guarding the kingdom began to operate automatically to kill off the invading demonic cultivator.

Luckily, given that he wasnʼt too far away and had already been granted the ability to control the formation by Yi Min earlier on, he managed to easily stop the formation from activating to kill the demonic cultivator. After all, he had no intention of stopping him from leaving the territory of the Star Shattering Sect. Especially so considering that it might be dangerous for him to do anything against this demonic cultivator considering his background and the kind of protective measures he might be in possession of.

Even with his cultivation realm at the Late Stage of the Dao Seed Realm, he had no intention of trying his luck in finding out just how strong the current demonic cultivator in control of the Frozen Wastelands was when it came to protecting the young demonic cultivator over such a long distance.

More importantly, he had no intention of making the Star Shattering Sect a target in the eyes of the demonic cultivators of the Frozen Wastelands.

Instead of that, he was far more interested in what this demonic cultivator might be up to, as he had even specially assigned the rabbit demon beast to secretly follow him.

Although it did seem like the other party had noticed the rabbit demon beast following behind him at this point in time, it didnʼt really matter that much, as it was clear that he didnʼt have any way of dealing with the rabbit demon beast. Not even knowing the fact that it was a demon beast and not a cultivator who was secretly following him from behind.

Though this did make it harder for the rabbit demon beast to gather any useful information from the young demonic cultivator, it did manage to learn that the young demonic cultivator thought that the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient hidden sect. Even believing that the rabbit demon beast was someone who had been dispatched by the sect to watch over him and ensure that he didnʼt cause any problems inside the sectʼs territory.

Even though it wasnʼt entirely wrong, as the rabbit demon beast had been sent by the Star Shattering Sect to keep an eye on him, he was wrong about the Star Shattering Sect being a hidden ancient sect that just happened to be hiding in this small part of the Blue Sea Empireʼs vast territory outside of the core region of the continent.

Outside of that, he was also wrong about the reason why the rabbit demon beast was silently following him.

Although… Thinking about it, Xuan Hao felt like it might be a good thing to have the rabbit demon beast stop following the young demonic cultivator after he left the territory of the sect.

Even if that might result in them not finding out what this demonic cultivator might be up to, it would at the very least cause the young demonic cultivator to confirm his thoughts about the Star Shattering Sect being an ancient hidden sect.

This was a good thing for the current Star Shattering Sect, as if that information got back to the demonic cultivators of the Frozen Wastelands, it should result in them being far more careful when it came to trying to invade the territory of the Star Shattering Sect in the future. Potentially even causing them to ignore the Star Shattering Sect during their attack on the Blue Sea Empire when the time came.

The reason why he thought this might be the case, was because it was clear that the only hidden ancient sect this demonic cultivator knew about, didnʼt seem to care about the struggle between the demonic cultivators and the cultivators at the core of the continent.

Instead, that ancient sect completely ignored the demonic cultivators as long as they didnʼt enter their territory or try to attack them, something that the current Demon King of the Frozen Wastelands had learned the hard way according to the few mutterings of that young demonic cultivator.

In the future, if the Star Shattering Sect could portray themselves as an ancient hidden sect, it should be easy to avoid getting involved in the war between the demonic cultivators and those in the core of the continent, as he highly doubted that those empires like the Blue Sea Empire would act any different from the demonic cultivators when faced with an ancient hidden sect.

Even if they might not believe the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient hidden sect, it was likely that they would at the very least avoid causing any trouble for them until they could confirm it, something that the demonic cultivators might end up helping with if they avoid the sectʼs territory in the future.

But… For all of this to work, the young demonic cultivator had to wholeheartedly believe that the Star Shattering Sect was an ancient hidden sect.

Unfortunately, it looked like he wouldnʼt get a chance to find out about what reason that demonic cultivator had left the Frozen Wastelands for in the first place.

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Xuan Hao soon sends a message to the rabbit demon beast. Telling it to stop following after the young demonic cultivator the moment he left the territory of the Star Shattering Sect.

Making sure to inform it that it would be rewarded a few extra spirit stones if it managed to do it flawlessly without the young demonic cultivator noticing anything wrong with how it left.

Squeaaak!

Of course, the rabbit demon beast was more than happy to do this, as it could not only finish the mission that had been given to it earlier, but also because it would be given a few extra spirit stones for essentially doing less work.

So, with that in mind, the rabbit demon beast dutifully followed the young demonic cultivator all the way to the borders of the Iron Sky Kingdom before decisively turning around and leaving the moment his feet landed on the ground outside the borders of the Iron Sky kingdom. Wasting no time as it rushed back in the direction of the Star Shattering Sect to get its promised reward for a job well done.

Ensuring that it made a stop at the Iron Sky Kingdomʼs capital along the way to inform the few of its subordinates there to prepare themselves for its return. Making extra sure that they would have a place ready for it to enjoy its new spirit stones when it got back to guarding the place.

…

”Indeed… Itʼs as I thought, the one secretly following me disappeared the moment I stepped outside the Iron Sky Kingdom. Not just that, but the speed of that person is definitely far above that of the Soul Ascension Realm!”

At the same time that the rabbit demon beast was rushing back towards the Star Shattering Sect with all of its strength, the young demonic cultivator looked back in the direction of the Iron Sky Kingdom with a somewhat troubled expression on his face as he said this.

What had happened just now essentially confirmed the fact that the Star Shattering Sect should be one of those terrifying hidden ancient sects.

Be it the fact that the one following him had reached the Earth Immortal Realm (Dao Seed Realm), yet had not attacked him, a demonic cultivator or the fact that this unknown sect had just mysteriously risen to prominence in a period that could barely considered a secluded retreat for a Soul Ascension Realm cultivator.

All of this clearly pointed towards the existence of a hidden ancient sect that should have just recently emerged in the world once again.

Although this was an extremely rare occurrence, he had read and heard about things like that happening in the past and it was normally when those ancient hidden sects wanted to recruit more disciples and decided to do so through expanding their influence in the world for a few hundred years before closing off to the outside world again.

Given the area occupied by the Star Shattering Sect and the strength they had shown so far, the young demonic cultivator felt that it all matched the style of ancient hidden sects when recruiting disciples, as they would never expand too much and would try to keep things managed on a relatively small scale.

Of course, this was also the time when these ancient hidden sects were the most dangerous, as it was far easier than normal to accidentally end up offending them.

Luckily, he had learnt about this ahead of time and should be able to warn his father about it in the future to prevent any problems when it came to invading and destroying the Blue Sea Empire. After all, an ancient hidden sect could easily change the course of battle…
