Chapter 1219  Demon Beast War...

Demon beast family? Another war with the demon beasts?

Listening in to the conversation between the two Celestial Immortals from the Astorion Empire, Xuan Hao could not help frowning as he looked in the direction that both of them had left in.

Not only did they introduce a new thing he had never heard about before like demon beast families, but they also mentioned a possible war between the humans and demon beasts on the Ewaria Continent. Although the chance of this really being the case was low, Xuan Hao could not help worrying as he thought about what little he knew of the last such war between humans and demon beasts that had taken place in the past.

According to historical records that had been gathered from the different powers that ended up integrating into the Star Shattering Sect over the past few years, the last war between the humans and demon beasts had taken place tens of thousands of years ago back around the founding of the Sky Empire. Back then, countless empires outside the central region had ended up perishing as a result of the demon beast running rampant everywhere as they clashed with the powerful cultivators of the humans on the continent. At the same time, it was also due to this turmoil that many new empires like the Sky Empire had been able to establish themselves in the outer part of the continent.

In the end, from the information he knew about that period of time, the only places that had been stable were the edges of the continent that neither the humans nor demon beasts were interested in and the core areas of powerful empires like the Blue Sea Empire.

Smaller empires with less than a handful of Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators like the Astorion Empire werenʼt that stable during this period of time… And those unlucky enough to be located next to the places that the powerful demon beasts inhabited even ended up falling. Marking a rare occasion in history where no small number of Celestial Immortals ended up dying.

Of course, all of this was ultimately dealt with when the pinnacle experts of the human race united and worked together to suppress the demon beasts. Forcing them into their current state of being limited to areas like the primeval jungle… And even then, humans would still enter the primeval jungle for resources or to hunt down demon beasts every now and then.

With that in mind, it was obvious that the powerful experts among the demon beasts would restart the fight of the past at some point in time. After all, they wouldnʼt want to continue the current state of things and slowly get killed off by the humans.

Even Xuan Hao felt that something like this was obvious, it was just that he didnʼt expect this war to happen any time soon.

After all, with all things considered, the demon beasts in the Dao Seed Realm and above could easily live twice if not longer than the human cultivators of equivalent realm. If they planned to resume the war again, it made sense for them to wait until the more powerful cultivators from back then passed away.

Starting the war now meant that the powerful human cultivators from back then would still be around and more than strong enough to fight back. Meaning that the demon beast would encounter the same defeat that they had experienced in the past. Probably even more severe than back then given the powerful human cultivators wouldnʼt allow their descendants to be left with a powerful enemy after they passed away.

”Unless… They have something to rely on. Giving them confidence in being able to win this time around…” Muttering this to himself as he turned to look over at the primeval jungle not too far away, Xuan Hao could not help shaking his head.

No matter what would happen in regard to the demon beasts and humans of the core region, it was not something he could interfere with at the moment. Even if his strength reached a level comparable to the Celestial Immortal Realm, he doubted there would be much he would be able to do in war of such scale.

Only reaching the Profound Immortal Realm mentioned by the old man from the Fallen Immortal Archipelago would he stand a chance at influencing a war of such a scale.

For now, the most important thing would be to continue strengthening the Star Shattering Sect and his disciples.

Even if he wouldnʼt be able to interfere in a large war like that, he at least planned to ensure the safety of the Star Shattering Sect.

”Now that I think about it, I should have Elder Song focus on expanding towards the border region of the continent instead of the core region, that way, the Star Shattering Sect would be far less impacted if a war did end up breaking out in the near future. Not to mention, it should be far easier to do and would also avoid drawing attention from the more powerful empires like the Blue Sea Empire…” Shaking his head as he said this, Xuan Hao glanced towards the primeval jungle one last time before he concealed himself as an ordinary Domain Lord and entered the frontier city without any of the Dao Seed Realm cultivators noticing him.

Considering that the danger for the Chun Family had passed, he intended to take his disciple back with him to the Star Shattering Sect before any of the Dao Seed Realm cultivators could cause any more trouble.

At the same time, he did also think about having Chun Huaʼs grandfather and family join the Star Shattering Sect or at least move to the territory under the Star Shattering Sect, but quickly gave up on the thought.

After all, the Chun Family compromised of thousands of people and taking all of them through the primeval jungle all the way back to the Star Shattering Sect wasnʼt doable with his current strength. Even if he had the help of Chun Huaʼs grandfather, he doubted it would make much of a difference considering that both of them would at most be able to protect a handful of people if they ended up running into a Dao Seed Realm demon beast inside the primeval jungle.

Not to mention, he highly doubted that Chun Huaʼs grandfather would give up the current position held by the Chun Family to go to the Star Shattering Sect that he essentially knew nothing about outside of what Xuan Hao and his granddaughter had told him about it.

Having his granddaughter go there to learn and improve her cultivation was one thing, moving the entire Chun Family was a completely different matter that involved the life and death of the family. Not a decision that could be taken lightly.

Even though there was still the threat of the noble family inside the Astorion Empire, Chun Huaʼs grandfather was only worried about something like this due to his injury. After he recovered, there wouldnʼt be much that the noble family could do to him. Especially considering that they had lost their most senior Dao Seed Realm Expert. Forcing them to lay low for the foreseeable future as they stabilized things back home.

…

”The seniors left… I never expected all three of them to show up at once. Haaa… Looks like the situation turned out far more serious than I imagined…” Mumbling this to himself as he looked up towards the place where the three Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators from the Astorion Empire had been standing just a few seconds earlier, Chun Huaʼs grandfather could not help feeling a sense of relief washing over him.

Although he had believed that the situation would be under control after the first senior in the Celestial Immortal Realm appeared, he had never imagined that an additional demon beast in the Celestial Immortal Realm would appear. Not only that, but the mountain sized demon beast seemed to be stronger than the senior from the Astorion Empire.

Only after the mountain sized demon beasts began leaving after a short conversation between the senior from the Astorion Empire and the new demon beast, did he breathe a sigh of relief.

However, this did not last long, as the appearance of the two other Celestial Immortal Realm seniors of the Astorion Empire made him tense once again.

Luckily, the two didnʼt stay for long and quickly left the scene. Unfortunately, he did manage to hear what two of these seniors talked about. Making him reconsider whether or not to move his family away from the primeval jungle.

Even if the benefits of staying were rather high and made the Chun Family far more wealthy compared to other powers that only had the support of a single Dao Seed Realm cultivator, the danger of staying next to the primeval jungle when a possible war with the demon beasts was on the horizon would definitely make him think about leaving before things erupted.

”At least my granddaughter wonʼt be anywhere near this place…” Muttering this to himself as he turned to glance at his oblivious granddaughter just staring out in the direction of the primeval jungle with a look of awe on her face, Chun Huaʼs grandfather could not help feeling that it wasnʼt such a bad thing to send his daughter to a sect located outside the core region of the continent. At least, it would be far safer if a war really did end up erupting between the humans and demon beasts in the near future.
