Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1171 Mysterious Arrival

Returning back to his palace after checking up on the situation in the sect and how things had progressed over the years, Xuan Hao settled down inside his cultivation room before beginning the process of condensing more layers around the dao lotus inside his dantian.

Even though he had no idea about the exact path he would have to take to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he guessed that it should involve adding more layers to his dao lotus, similar to what Earth Immortal Realm cultivators did to advance in the Earth Immortal Realm.

Of course, there was always a chance that he needed to do something different to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, but at least for now, he didnʼt worry too much about it. Even if he needed to do something other than adding layers to his dao lotus to break through to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he would first have to reach the Peak of the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, something that was still far away considering that it wasnʼt that long since he had broken through to the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

With this in mind, Xuan Hao dedicated most of his attention towards condensing more layers around the dao lotus seed floating in the middle of his dantian. Making sure to also dedicate some of his time towards comprehending the Dao of Alchemy. Not wanting to end up getting another emergency quest from the system in the future.

At the same time, also keeping part of his divine sense active around the Shattered Star Peaks in case his disciples came to find him, or the Earth Immortal from the Heavenly Dragon Temple appeared to cause trouble.

All things considered, Xuan Hao finally had the opportunity to stay in the sect and cultivate in peace without having to worry about anything other than the Earth Immortal Realm Expert from the Heavenly Dragon Temple who might show up. Even then, with his current strength and the help of the chaotic qi formation guarding the sect, he didnʼt feel too worried about the person from the Heavenly Dragon Temple causing any problems outside of damaging the Falling Star City at the base of the Ninth Star Peak.

…

Around the same time that the grand elder of the half spirit race was stabilizing his domain after breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm, two figures appeared at the edge of the Star Shattering Sectʼs territory covered from head to toe in dark clothes that made it hard to discern their true appearance. ”The lord should be arriving in another year; we have to make sure that nothing goes wrong or both of us wonʼt be able to return to temple alive!”

”Hmph, I already understand that! On the more worrying side of things, we still havenʼt been able to figure out how strong that Star Shattering Sect is. From what little information we managed to gather about it, it seems to have undergone a period of rapid growth over the past dozen or so years due to the presence of a powerful elder known as Xuan Hao and another one known as Elder Song.

Although that Elder Song isnʼt that strong and only around the Nascent Soul Realm, he is by far the most important driving force in the development of this Star Shattering Sect, while that Xuan Hao provides safety for the sect to develop… And that is not mentioning the fact that quite a few Domain Lord Realm Experts have begun to appear in the sect lately…”

”Indeed, but our main problem is not to deal with these people. Instead, itʼs the fact that we canʼt enter the Shattered Star Peaks and investigate the thing the lord wanted us to find out about due to the presence of the formation guarding the place.”

”True… That formation seems far too powerful for it to have been set up by someone in the Soul Ascension Realm. Makes me wonder if it might have reached a level strong enough to block someone in the Earth Immortal Realm.”

”If it really is that strong, it might prove troublesome for the lord to break it in a short period of time. Possibly giving those people, a chance to find out what is happening and sent over their own people-”

Whoosh-!

Interrupting their conversation, a violent wind swept past them as a third figure landed a few meters away from them.

””Senior!””

Seeing this person, the two wasted no time bowing down with a clear sense of awe present in their eyes.

From a glance, it was obvious that the person arriving had a far higher status than them.

”Hm? I see that both of you have been doing quite well during the last few years, I hope you have something important to say considering that both of you went through the trouble of contacting me a year before the lordʼs arrival…” Narrowing both his eyes as he said this, the newly arrived third figure intently released part of his cultivation base to pressure the two of them and show his displeasure. At the same time revealing the fact that he was at the Sixth Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm. Only a single step away from the Earth Immortal Realm.

”This… S-senior, w-we have an important reason to call you...!”

”Y-yes, itʼs something related to the lord!”

Feeling the terrifying pressure of someone at the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm, the two figures who had just been chatting leisurely with each other began stumbling over their words as they answered the third figure looking down at both of them with a displeased look.

”I see, what is it? I also have to make sure that those border guards of the Blue Sea Empire donʼt notice anything during the lordʼs arrival. After all, our Heavenly Dragon Temple isnʼt exactly on friendly terms with them.” Frowning as he said this, the pressure he exuded increased ever so slightly. Forcing the two figures standing before him to kneel down on the ground to avoid having their legs broken under the terrifying pressure.

”T-the reason why we called you… Senior… Is because of the Star Shattering Sect, you should have learnt about it from some of the information we sent you over the years…”

”Indeed, I learnt a bit about them, but they should just be a small sect with the support of a single Soul Ascension Realm Expert who just recently broke through… Is there a reason to inform me about such an insignificant power?”

”A-actually… The strength of the Star Shattering Sect is still unknown. The reason why we called senior was because we want to borrow seniorʼs strength to test out the formation that guards the Shattered Star Peak, as we suspect that it might be strong enough to stop someone in the Earth Immortal Realm…” Stopping after they finished saying everything they wanted to say, the two weaker figures nervously looked over towards their senior. Knowing very well that there was a chance that he would not take their words seriously and might even punish them.

After all, what they had just said was essentially that a brand-new sect that had just recently emerged in a border empire that barely had any Soul Ascension Realm Experts present somehow managed to gain control of a formation strong enough to block someone in the Earth Immortal Realm.

No matter how confident they felt in their own investigations of the Star Shattering Sect and the formation guarding the Shattered Star Peaks over the past few years, they understood that this wouldnʼt matter if their senior didnʼt believe them.

”Earth Immortal Realm formation…? Are you serious? In a god forsaken place like this?”

Indeed, like both of them had expected, their senior looked down at both of them filled with doubt as he asked this.

”Yes! We made sure to check it over the past few years and we are certain!” ”Haaa… Listen to yourself… How would a small sect possibly gain such a powerful formation in the first place?”

”Senior, we think it might be related to those ruins. Maybe the Star Shattering Sect managed to gain access to part of the ruins ahead of time and obtained the formation through it. No matter what, we still request senior to check the formation before the lord shows up and ensure that the formation wonʼt pose a problem.”

”This… Fine, I will go and test that little formation.”

Seeing that the two juniors of his didnʼt show any sign of budging even after he gave them several times to back out, the senior shook his head as he reluctantly agreed to test the formation and ensure it wouldnʼt cause any problems to the lord when he appeared.

Even if he didnʼt believe the two of them, he at least had to make sure himself considering how adamant the two were… And if the two of them were wrong, he would make sure that they were punished accordingly for wasting his time…

Whoosh~!

Whoosh~!

Whoosh~!

Like this, the three figures soon jumped into the air before heading towards the Star Shattering Sect.
