Chapter 463 - Factions Of The Sky Empire

Whoosh~

”Ahm! I called you over to talk about the people who attacked my capital yesterday and if you are curious about why they even decided to attack me in the first place?”

Realizing that her face was still covered with the remains of the snacks she had eaten before Xuan Haoʼs arrival, Yi Min quickly used her power to erase said snack remains before asking Xuan Hao again. Pretending nothing had happened…

”I am indeed quite interested in knowing who attacked yesterday… Although I did manage to hear that one of them was a general from the Sky Empire…” Ignoring the little cleaning Yi Min did, Xuan Hao nodded his head and responded.

Even if he already knew that one of the people who had been there yesterday was a General of the Sky Empire, he still had no clue who the others were. Not to mention the demonic cultivator that Yi Min dealt with, there was a high likelihood that the people who had come together with General Guan, were very likely from a demonic sect of some sort.

Given that he would very likely have ended up offending them by standing on the same side as Yi Min, Xuan Hao really wanted to find out just who they were, so he knew who to look out for.

Even if there was a chance that they had not noticed him behind the barrier and the two people staying behind had already perished, Xuan Hao didnʼt want to take any chances and wanted to be prepared, just in case they came to attack him at some point in the future…

”Haha, I thought so!”

Smiling happily upon hearing him say that he was indeed interested, Yi Min stood up before dashing towards a small bookshelf a short distance away before coming back with a beautifully decorated book with a drawing of a large open sky as its cover.

”This is…?”

Seeing the book that Yi Min had suddenly placed handed over to him, Xuan Hao could not help showing a slightly confused expression. Not understanding why, he had been given a book when asking about the people who had attacked the capital of the Iron Sky Kingdom yesterday.

”Itʼs a basic introduction to the Sky Empire given to everyone inside the Sky Empire who reaches the Domain Lord Realm! Of course, it also gives a simple explanation of the different factions inside the Sky Empire itself. The ones who attacked yesterday are noted down in there as being on ʼbad termsʼ with me…”

Listening attentively to Yi Minʼs explanation, Xuan Hao felt like he understood why she had given the book to him.

Not only would he be able to find out about the people who had attacked Yi Minʼs capital yesterday, he would also be able to get a clearer picture of the current situation of the Sky Empire as a whole.

”Ah! I forgot to mention, you can just keep the book after reading through it, I have quite a lot of them laying around. Also! The book is a special artifact linked to the original in the capital of the Sky Empire. From what I know, itʼs updated every 10 or so years. However, if something major, like another empire launching a full-blown invasion on the Sky Empire, it will also be updated.”

”Really!? What kind of artifact is it?”

”Donʼt think too much about it, the book itself is not really a rare artifact and can at most be considered an Earth Grade Artifact. The original on the other hand… I have no idea about its rank, but it should at the very least have reached the Transcendent grade!”

Hearing this, Xuan Hao did not feel disappointed as he opened the book before slowly beginning to read through it.

Yi Min did not mind this at all and just picked the half-eaten cookie back up before she began nibbling away at it once again while looking out the window next to her.

…

Reading through the book, the first thing Xuan Hao focused on was the part that talked about the different factions located inside the Sky Empire. Outside of the imperial family members that were not listed anywhere in the book.

At least it looked like the book did not mention anything about the different princes and princessʼs factions…𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

However, even with this, Xuan Hao could not help but feel shocked when he saw just how many factions there was inside the Sky Empire. At the same time, it also made him feel a bit sceptical regarding the book he had read through back at the Flying Sword Sect about the different Domain Lords inside the Sky Empire…

From that book, Xuan Hao expected for there to be between around a hundred or so Domain Lords inside the Sky Empire, but looking over the many factions, Xuan Hao felt like there should be far more Domain Lords inside the Sky Empire!

After all, it did not make sense that a family clan without any Domain Lord could be enemies with a kingdom that had a Domain Lord King at the helm…

Looking through the list of factions, Xuan Hao could not help but feel more surprised the more he read about the different faction of the Sky Empire.

Not to mention the churches that he had already known about beforehand, there was also several large noble families that had taken root inside the capital of the Sky Empire. From the writing in the book, Xuan Hao had quickly realized that the large noble families seemed to have a lot of power in the Sky Empire. Albeit, still weaker compared to the churches….

Speaking of the churches, Xuan Hao learned that there were three main faiths inside the Sky Empire.

The Order of the Sky God.

Followers of the Fire God.

And lastly, Cult of the Scarlet Moon.

Among the three, Xuan Hao could not help but read the last one again.

Cult of the Scarlet Moon…

Seeing that there was no description under the three largest faiths of the Sky Empire, Xuan Hao could only throw aside his growing curiosity for now, as he continued reading through the different factions of the Sky Empire before finally finding the Iron Sky Kingdom!
