SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

“Tell him to fuck off,” Silva said and started walking. He didn’t even want this drama right now.

The man didn’t take kindly to what was said, his eyes shone with anger as he gazed at Silva walking away. “You brat.” The man roared and pulled out a greatsword from his ring.

He wanted to charge at Silva, but the girls all moved at fascinating speeds. Dawn had already placed a sword at his neck, Fay as well. Sage, Amber, Leah, and Lia were ready to cast their most powerful spells to finish this man.

The man froze when he felt the extreme danger. Sweat dripped from the side of his face, his eyes darted to all of them. He saw their faces—they weren’t playing. They would kill him if he made another move.

His eyes moved to Silva and Aaron, who just stood there, watching him with expressionless faces. They didn’t even care what would happen to him. The man slowly dropped his sword and tried to back up, but then he heard a voice from the carriage.

“Don’t come back inside if you haven’t gotten the job done.”

That was the voice of his master. When he heard it, he froze. He was stuck between a hard place and a rock. What was his best course of action now? Well, that would be to fight them—he didn’t fear them as much as he did his master.

While they stood there, Silva took the time to check the stats of this pathetic being.

Level: 75

Strength: 600

When Silva saw the stats, he let out a disappointed sigh. The man was not even a threat. Even among his weakest followers, they were all near a hundred, with stats in the thousands.

“You don’t want this fight. You’ll die,” Silva warned.

The man gazed at Silva and laughed. “You all caught me off guard a moment ago. Do you think that would work the same again?” he said, ready to fight.

Silva realized something as he stood there. A question ran through his mind—what the hell was he doing?

He looked at his stats. He had stats that barely any human in this kingdom could reach. Even the empire would not have those kinds of people to spare. This made his mind go to Lena.

Lena had base stats similar to his. How was that possible? She would need to be an Awakened of level 20 or 30 to get such stats. No, she would have to be of an even higher level.

Humans didn’t have the innate strength and talent that other races had. For instance, Silva’s father, Terrom, only had stats in the six thousands, and he was a level ten Awakened.

So why was Lena so high? It wasn’t supposed to be like that at all. If she was that strong, then she would never be a messenger—she would be someone high up the table.

The only humans capable of being stupidly strong were the heroes. They were the only ones who possessed the ability to get crazy strong as humans.

“Lily, I need your help understanding why Lena was strong from the beginning. She was too strong,” Silva immediately contacted Lily telepathically, forgetting about the ranting man in front of them.

The man got enraged and tried to attack when he saw that no one was paying attention to him, but Sage cast a spell. It had been a while since she fought, and Silva had even forgotten what element she used or what her legacy was, but it seemed she had her father’s element.

Blue lightning coiled around her hand. “Thunder Roar,” she called out. The spell shot at the man, creating the silhouette of a roaring beast.

It slammed into his chest and sent him flying into the carriage with so much force that the carriage nearly fell over.

‘Hmm, was that always her element?’ Silva asked himself, but he didn’t put much thought into it and focused on his discussion with Lily.

“Oh yes, I checked her blood and everything about her. It seems she was forcefully modified to become that strong so that she could deal with the weight of the demon transformation.

Her base level is just Awakened level 2, and her stats barely scratch a thousand. They managed to push it all the way to sixty thousand, but she gave her lifespan for it.

Her body and organs are aging at a rapid rate, and from the looks of it, she would only have a year to live before they get too old, collapse, and she dies. Discover exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire

They seem to be getting desperate for some reason—to push a human’s natural ability so much that it cuts off all their life and leaves them with a countdown,” Lily said.

“Hmm, that makes sense now. But she didn’t have signs of aging. She looked young?” Silva said.

“When it comes to mana and magic, things are really confusing. Somehow, it doesn’t show on the outside that she is aging, but when the time draws to an end, I hypothesize that she will shrivel up and die,” Lily said.

“So why go this far? Why not give her the demon blood at her base?” Silva asked.

“I checked that as well. It seems you have to be at a certain strength to survive the blood they gave her. It was a new type—a different one from what we knew—and it was far more potent.

It puts a crazy weight on the body, and you need bigger base stats to use it,” she explained.

“It’s crazy why someone would allow themselves to be used for something like this,” Silva said.

“I don’t think they agreed to it. I feel some brainwashing was in order. I’ll look into it more, and I’ll tell you when I find anything else,” Lily said.

Silva stopped talking to her and focused on the carriage. He walked to it, grabbed it, and flipped it to the ground all of a sudden. He turned to his party and said, “Let’s go.”
