SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Silva arrived back at the castle. Though it was morning, it was still dark out. He got into his room quietly, walked to the bed, and sat down.

[A system message]

Silva was suddenly greeted by a message from the system as he lay on the bed, and this could only mean one thing: Ophelia.

He sat up quickly, opened the system, and went for the message. He opened it and started reading the content.

[Situations have changed. I can’t explain. Move faster, or it will all be for nothing.]

That was all the message held, but Silva understood. He had to move faster, or all that he had fought for would be wasted. Ophelia wanted him to continue the task as fast as possible.

He had stopped it for a while now, but now, she was telling him to do it. That meant things were getting serious.

He didn’t know if it was related to what had happened today, but he needed to move regardless.

He made up his mind. After Quin’s wedding tomorrow, he would immediately get things rolling. In fact, he might only make a guest appearance at the wedding.

After pondering on how to proceed for a while, he got up from the bed and left the room. He headed straight for the weapon room of the castle.

The place stored all swords, shields, armors, and more. The door was shut with a large lock and several layers of formation.

It only responded to the willing touch of a recognized person—willing in the sense that you couldn’t force anyone to open it.

The door unlocked, and Silva walked in. He shut the door behind him. The room was extremely massive, filled with long racks of swords, spears, and all sorts of weapons.

Shields, other artifacts, and weapons hung from the walls. The armors were all placed carefully, with different colors, styles, and builds.

Silva didn’t pick anything, though. He sat on the ground cross-legged and then opened his storage ring, pouring out all his weapons and creating a small mountain.

“All these swords are artifacts, even if they are weak or too low for me,” Silva said. He got up and started looking around the weaponry.

“If I’m going to the Empire, I’ll need to look like a poor protégé without serious funding, only my talents and party members.

I’ll need weapons and gear of the lowest tier, but I can’t find that in here—it’s only filled with high-end stuff.”

He searched through the heap he made on the ground, returning the Abyssal Blade and the Minotaur’s Rage into his ring.

As he did that, he recalled something. He was yet to unseal the Abyssal Sword; he hadn’t completed the next level of requirements.

It was to take the lives of 200 intelligent beings, and from the war down to the current fight, he must have gone over fifty.

“System, how many intelligent beings have I killed?” he decided to ask.

[16/200]

“What the hell?” He was surprised when he saw the number, it was so low.

“System, what the hell is this? Why is it so low?” he asked.

[Intelligent beings are considered to have intelligence points above a thousand.]

“You could have told me before,” Silva snapped. He didn’t know there was such a requirement. He thought every human would be classified as an intelligent being, but the system just said otherwise.

He had sure killed a lot in the past months. After all, he had fought two wars now, but it’s hard to find a non evolved person with intelligence above a thousand.

It was already massive that he killed 16 people with intelligence above a thousand, because even among the humans that had evolved, most prioritized their strength-based abilities over intelligence. Especially when they weren’t mages, and so they had lower intelligence.

“Congratulations, System. You crushed my soul,” Silva said, returning to putting his weapons back into his ring.

He preferred that they stay with him, even if he wouldn’t be using them in the Empire.

“I’ll just ask Drake to make one. I hope he can make something of good quality that doesn’t stand out.”

Silva opened the door and left the weaponry. He headed to the throne room and called Drake on his way there.

“Drake, I need your help to make something. Meet me at the throne room.”

“I will be there in a moment, Master,” Drake responded.

Silva arrived at the throne room, and Drake was already inside waiting for him. “You just have to be that efficient, huh?” Silva asked with a chuckle.

“I do, after all, you called,” Drake responded.

“Well, thank you,” Silva said. He walked to the throne and sat down.

“After the wedding, we will be heading to the Empire. It’s time we finally move. Lily is currently busy trying to understand how the demon blood works from that man we captured.

With the help of Gabriel as well, we will be able to seamlessly blend into their society and already have a lead on the demon blood.

So we only have a few days to round up everything that needs rounding up here, and that’s why I called you. I need a weapon that will be good for me and not stand out, something that’s not an artifact but a sharp blade that a young protégé can use.

It has to look custom-made, but it shouldn’t look too expensive. I use swords, so make me a sword. Can you do that for me?” Silva asked.

“Without a doubt. I can start working on it now,” Drake responded. He paused for a moment, as if thinking of something, and then spoke. “What about your trip to your mother’s family?” Your next chapter is on empire

“Hmm. After a falling out I had with White Fang, I’ll have to postpone that. But thank you for reminding me. I wanted to talk to my mother today, there’s still a lot that I’d love to iron out and talk about,” Silva said.
