Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Lin Muxue felt like she had wandered into Hogwarts from ”Harry Potter.”

They walked through several academic buildings.

Eventually, they arrived at an upscale faculty club on the banks of the Thames River.

In a private room with a view of the river within the club.

She met her ”mentor,” Professor Philip Drummond.

This was a gray-haired, elegantly cultured British gentleman.

Not only was he a lifelong professor at Imperial College Business School, a knight bestowed by the Queen, but also a former economic consultant to the British Treasury.

The meeting wasn’t as serious as imagined.

Professor Drummond, like a kindly elder, personally poured her a cup of Ceylon tea.

Chatting with her about London’s changeable weather, the latest art exhibitions at the Tate Gallery, and some intriguing anecdotes from within the luxury industry.

Obviously, the school had already detailed all her background information and personal preferences to the professor in advance.

At the same time, he made arrangements for her study plan, almost like a ”private customization.”

Her courses would be incredibly flexible, focusing more on practical case studies, ensuring she need not worry about academic pressure.

In reality, this was the school telling her: you’re here mainly to expand your network and acquire status; we won’t trouble you academically.

This pleasant meeting allowed Lin Muxue to completely shed her final worry about her ”non-stellar” academic status.

Which meant she truly stepped into the doors of this world-class academic institution.

...

As noon approached, the pleasant meeting with Professor Drummond finally concluded.

Just as Lin Muxue stepped out of the heavy oak doors of the faculty club, her phone rang.

[Cici (Wang Si)]

This Wang Si was a companion arranged for her by the school’s development office upon her arrival in London.

Also from Huaxia, admitted through the ”special channel” just like her.

However, unlike her, Wang Si had arrived a month earlier and was familiar with the school environment.

Can assist her in quickly acclimating.

Lin Muxue quickly answered the call, smiling, ”Hello, Cici.”

”Luna, I remember you said you’re coming to school today, right?”

”Yes, I just finished meeting with my mentor.”

Wang Si’s tone grew more enthusiastic, ”That’s wonderful! Would you like to have lunch together? I’ll take you to the faculty dining room; their Wellington steak is incredibly authentic! We can also discuss the plans for the alumni event tonight.”

Lin Muxue raised her eyebrows slightly and, after a moment’s thought, said, ”Alright, I’ll head over now.”

With someone like Cici, eager to socialize, leading the way, she could quickly make her mark.

The faculty dining room felt more like a private, upscale club.

Tables covered with white cloth, courteous waiters, and around her the quiet conversations of elegant professors and scholars, all making the atmosphere feel especially dignified.

Lin Muxue stepped in and immediately saw Wang Si waving at her.

The other wore a pink Chanel outfit, with exquisite makeup.

A standard internet celebrity face, but unlike her, Wang Si’s face bore clear signs of cosmetic surgery.

Obviously had undergone procedures.

After ordering, Wang Siqi took the initiative to start a conversation.

Talking about her experiences at school and gossip about various professors.

Both were women with good emotional intelligence, eager to befriend each other, making the conversation pleasantly enjoyable.

The atmosphere was harmonious and friendly.

After lunch, Wang Siqi’s eyes twinkled.

She opened her Hermes Kelly bag and handed over a gold-embossed card.

”Luna, since this is our second meeting, we’re friends now. This is my business card; feel free to reach out if you need anything.”

”Thanks, Cici.” Lin Muxue nodded and took it, glancing casually, slightly startled.

[Huaji Holding Group Co., Ltd., Chairman’s Assistant, Wang Si (Cici Wang)...]

Having been in a finance company for quite a while.

She had naturally heard of Huaji Holding, a billion-scale publicly listed real estate company in domestic circles, considered a top-tier enterprise.

And Wang Si, only 25 years old, had become the chairman’s assistant.

And looking at her physique, appearance, and fashion style.

Instantly, some speculation arose in her mind.

Wang Si looked at her and asked tentatively, ”During our last meeting, I heard you telling the school’s staff you also work as an assistant in a company?”

”Yes.” Lin Muxue nodded, ”I work in a private equity fund company as a Chief Assistant.”

”So coming to Imperial College for the Global MBA program, was it arranged by the company?”

Understanding the implication, Lin Muxue shook her head and casually explained, ”My boyfriend arranged it.”

Wang Si was initially stunned, then asked, ”Is your boyfriend... the boss of your company?”

”Err...” Lin Muxue’s eye twitched momentarily, at a loss for words.

(;￣Д￣）

Wang Si immediately displayed an ”I get it” ambiguous smile, her demeanor growing even warmer.

Young, attractive assistants from finance companies, sent by their ”boyfriends” (financier patrons) with substantial sums to prestigious schools for makeshift credentialing...

In her view, it was identical to her own circumstances.

They were indeed of the same ilk!

The difference being, Lin Muxue’s ”boyfriend” probably spent more and offered more freedom.

She only needed to symbolically attend school once or twice a year, just participating in alumni events.

Unlike her, who had to dutifully study three months each year in London, earning her credits, completing a proper thesis.
