Chapter 984: Chapter 404: Lele Qian: Brother

”Tap—” Qian Lele’s footsteps suddenly stopped, staring blankly at the boy beside her.

For some reason, her nose felt a bit sour and astringent.

”What’s wrong, Lele? Don’t recognize me?” Tang Song reached out to grip the handle of her backpack, lifting it up slightly, ”You’ve got a computer and books in here, right? It’s pretty heavy, let me carry it for you.”

After speaking, he gently took Qian Lele’s backpack off her shoulder.

Her computer was a second-hand laptop made in 2016, both heavy and bulky, with an average configuration.

Plus, with the books and miscellaneous items inside, it was quite heavy.

”Brother Song, how come you’re here?” Qian Lele’s lips moved slightly, her heart pounding wildly.

”Came to see you.” Tang Song smiled and patted her shoulder, ”I remember you mentioned before, telling me to come to the teachers’ apartments to hang out when I’m free. School starts for you in a few days, right?”

Qian Lele lowered her head slightly, biting her lip lightly, ”Yeah, school officially starts on September 1st, and I’ll move back to the girls’ dormitory two days early.”

”I’ve been quite busy lately, just got back from a business trip to Shen City. I should be in Yan City for the foreseeable future, feel free to visit me when you’re free—you still remember where I live, right?”

”I remember.” Qian Lele whispered, ”YJTC complex, take bus No. 31 from the south gate of the normal university, it’s 13 stops away.”

She had checked it many times before, even taking bus No. 31 over there during her spare time.

But she only walked around the area a few times before going back.

The upscale environment there left a deep impression on her.

Tang Song smiled, carrying the backpack in his left hand, gently taking her hand with his right, ”Let’s go, it’s been a while since I had a meal cooked by Lele, I’ll rely on you tonight.”

In an instant, an electric current surged through her hand, making Qian Lele’s body feel tingly and numb, ”Sure, okay.”

The two parallel shadows continued forward.

Feeling Tang Song holding her hand, Qian Lele felt light-headed.

After a while, as if remembering something, she hurriedly withdrew her hand, pointing to the distance, ”Brother Song... there’s not much food at home, why don’t we go to the supermarket later?”

Due to frequent work, her hands were quite rough, not soft and delicate at all.

Compared to Tang Song’s beautiful hands, hers seemed particularly ”ugly.”

The budding heart of a young girl, sensitive and insecure.

”Then let’s go to Fuqiang Supermarket.” Tang Song’s face showed a hint of nostalgia, his lips curling upward, ”Let’s also buy some bread and spicy strips.”

Hearing his words, Qian Lele was momentarily stunned, nodding vigorously, ”Okay.”

Looking at Tang Song beside her, Qian Lele’s thoughts seemed to be pulled back to July 15th, the day after she moved into the teachers’ apartments.

On that day, she ran into Tang Song at Fuqiang Supermarket, and they began half a month of living together.

On the bustling streets, with streams of people and cars coming and going.

Her world seemed to be especially lively and bright.

...

Arriving at Fuqiang Supermarket.

Qian Lele didn’t choose pre-packaged vegetables, but seriously picked some fresh ones in the fresh produce section, even selecting organic tomatoes.

Then she bought some bread, spicy strips, and spicy chips.

When checking out, seeing Tang Song taking out his phone, she couldn’t hold back her reserve and directly stepped in front of him, pulling out the prepared QR code.

Her smooth ponytail brushed against Tang Song’s chin.

Due to Lele’s perky bottom, some inevitable physical friction and bumping occurred between the two.

Looking at the vibrant, youthful female college student in front of him, feeling her warmth and touch.

Tang Song couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

The scent of Head & Shoulders shampoo and soap, mixed with the fragrance of a young girl, instantly filled his nostrils.

After paying, Qian Lele finally noticed something was off, her face instantly turning red and hot.

She quickly shifted aside, taking the plastic bags handed over by the cashier, lowering her head to put things in.

”All done, Brother Song, let’s go.” Qian Lele said softly, carrying the shopping bags and quickly walking towards the exit.

...

”Click—” Using the key to unlock the door, Qian Lele gently opened it, ”Brother Song, you go in first.”

Upon entering the hallway, Tang Song paused for a moment.

Noticing that his slippers, socks, and the sneakers he bought for 29.9 yuan at Fuqiang Supermarket were all neatly placed on the top shelf of the shoe rack.

All washed clean.

Especially those sneakers, due to poor quality and daily use, the toe cap had split before he left, looking filthy.

But now they were scrubbed clean, and the damaged part had been mended.

The door closed slowly.

Noticing Tang Song’s gaze, Qian Lele felt a bit embarrassed, ”I didn’t know if you still wanted them, so I didn’t send them to you.”

Actually, she previously took bus No. 31 to YJTC intending to deliver these things along with some pickled radish strips.

However, upon seeing the luxurious entrance of the upscale complex, she didn’t muster the courage in the end.

Ultimately, she knew deep down, she just wanted to see him again.

”Thank you, Lele.” Tang Song lightly patted her head.

”It’s nothing.” Qian Lele took the backpack from his hand, whispering, ”I’ll go cook, Brother Song, you can rest in the living room for a while, it’ll be ready soon.”

”Let me help.”

”No need, it’s no trouble at all, and the kitchen is too small for two people to move around.”

After saying that, Qian Lele quickly headed inside with her things.

A moment later, she came running out from the kitchen.

Gathering the undergarments drying on the balcony.

Watching her shy and fluttering silhouette, Tang Song felt a string in his heart being gently plucked.

Sitting on the familiar sofa.

Tang Song glanced around, compared to when he left, nothing had changed.
