Chapter 118: Chapter 117: Lin Muxue, Zhao Yaqian Chapter 118: Chapter 117: Lin Muxue, Zhao Yaqian In the large conference room.

Lawyer Yue Wensheng repeated what he had just said.

Han Yuping nodded, opened one of the lawyer’s letters to glance at it, her expression changing.

Taking a deep breath, she looked at Liu Renjie and the others and said, “Is there no way to communicate with the company first? Was it necessary to make such a big fuss?”

As the vice president in charge of human resources, Han Yuping held a very high position within the company.

She had personally interviewed almost every employee, and she knew them very well.

Yet she had never anticipated that a minor bonus issue could escalate to this extent, far beyond the company’s expectations.

Hou Yan couldn’t help it and said softly, “President Han, we also wanted to communicate with the company, but you didn’t pay any attention to us!”

“It’s bad enough that the bonuses weren’t paid, but you even put obstacles in our way when we try to resign.”

“Yes! Normally, it only takes three or four days to handle a resignation, but you dragged it out for thirty days. Isn’t that just making things difficult for us?”

“OK, very good,” Han Yuping looked at the sharply dressed elite lawyers in front of her, “Please have a seat, everyone. Our external lawyer will arrive shortly, and some issues need to be discussed face-to-face.”

After saying that, she took out her cellphone and walked quickly outside.

As a fairly large media company, they had a professional law firm they worked with besides their legal department, capable of handling such emergencies, but she still had to speak with the boss first.

Twenty minutes later.

A knock was heard on the conference room door.

Following that, Han Yuping entered with a company legal officer and a lawyer carrying a briefcase.

Han Yuping smiled and said, “Lawyer Peng, I have told you about the situation. I’ll leave this to you now, I trust the capabilities of Jurong Law Firm.”

Seeing the group of people opposite, Lawyer Peng pressed his lips together, his face turning awkward as he said, “Good afternoon, Teacher Zhang, Lawyer Yue, Lawyer Wen.”

“Peng, it’s you,” Lawyer Zhang Yufeng raised an eyebrow in surprise, looking at the intern lawyer who had once worked under him.

“It’s me.” Lawyer Peng gave an awkward smile and turned to say, “President Han, shall we step outside to talk? I need to understand the situation a bit more.”

Han Yuping, highly observant, instantly understood and nodded subtly.

Lawyer Peng greeted the senior lawyers from QJ Law Firm and then hurried out.

…

4:00 p.m.

After seeing off the assisting lawyers, Liu Renjie and others, with flushed faces, returned to their desks to start preparing their job handovers.

After a friendly negotiation between the two parties, they were to complete the handover by Wednesday and could then resign smoothly, with the bonuses to be paid along with last month’s salary.

He Liting opened her calculator and figured that on the 10th of this month, she could receive 4.5 months of salary, totaling 22,500 yuan.

Overwhelmed with emotion, she felt grateful for the new boss she had yet to meet face-to-face.

The money was enough to buy the Carryall bag that Qianqian wanted.

Of course, if she really had that much money, she definitely wouldn’t spend it so frivolously.

She could buy a set of name brand cosmetics, get several new outfits for the summer, and even move to a place closer to work with Qianqian.

Thinking this, she took out her phone and sent a message to Zhao Yaqian, “Qianqian, fruit platter for dinner tonight!”

…

9:30 p.m.

Isa Beauty Salon.

Zhao Yaqian held a small bubble device in her hand, operating it diligently.

Evenly dissolving sebum, vacuum cleaning, special care for the T-zone…

Finally, she used a solution for deep penetration to provide the customer’s skin with ample moisture and nutrients.

After completing the “Small Bubble Deep Cleanse,” Zhao Yaqian disinfected the device and kindly said, “Ms. Lin, your treatment is finished.”

“Hmm, I’ll just lie here and absorb it a bit more.”

“Alright, no problem.” Zhao Yaqian responded, then remembered what Sister Li had instructed and softly added, “Ms. Lin, our salon has introduced a new oil-water balance management package, consisting of 5 treatments over 4 sessions. As a member here, you can get a 60% discount. It comes to less than 6000 yuan, which is really cost-effective.”

Ms. Lin glanced at her and spoke calmly, “No need, my skin is in very good condition lately, I don’t need to adjust it for now.”

“Yes, your skin is indeed excellent,” Zhao Yaqian said a bit awkwardly, nodding her head.

Ms. Lin was an ordinary member at the Isa Beauty Salon, and she had booked a treatment priced at 129 yuan.

Sister Li specifically instructed her to promote the new product packages appropriately, aiming to boost the average spending per customer, but unfortunately, she always struggled to make those flexible sales pitches.

After putting the equipment and skincare products back in their place, Zhao Yaqian sat down on the stool next to her.

While waiting to finish work, she thought about Tang Song.

At this time on workdays, the beauty salon was basically free of customers, marking the most relaxing moment of the day.

About ten minutes later.

Ms. Lin got up from the bed, opened the storage locker, draped on her blazer, took out her handbag, and fished out a lipstick to apply in front of the mirror.

“Yaqian,” her colleague Yu Hong came over and whispered, “Where is your Carryall? Let me have a look, quick!”

She had been on leave the previous two days and had only heard about this exciting news after coming to work today, holding in her curiosity until work was finally over, thinking about getting a good feel of the bag.

With a smile in her eyes, Zhao Yaqian said, “It’s in the locker at the changing room.”

Although she had planned to use the bag only once a week, today was Monday, and a new week had begun.

So she indulged herself by taking a taxi to work and back home.

Ms. Lin, who was applying lipstick, moved her ears, looked at her beautician in surprise, and curiously asked, “Is it an LV Carryall? Which size is it?”

Zhao Yaqian replied somewhat embarrassedly, “The medium size.”

Ms. Lin said with a smile, “I’ve been thinking of buying this handbag recently. Could you let me try it on? Don’t worry, just right here, in front of you.”

Zhao Yaqian hesitated for a moment and then nodded, “Okay, then I’ll go get it.”

Seeing that Ms. Lin wore luxury brands and carried a Dior, it was clear she was well-off, so she probably wouldn’t damage her beloved handbag.

“I’ll come with you, I’m about to clock out too; I’ll change my clothes as well,” Yu Hong quickly followed her.

Entering the staff changing room, Zhao Yaqian first changed her clothes, and then took out a white woven bag from the locker.

She opened the bag, revealing the exquisite LV handbag inside.

This gift from Tang Song was cherished to the utmost by her; she even placed it beside her bed when she slept.

Yu Hong, with a face full of envy, gently touched it, saying, “It’s really beautiful, but a bit too large for me since I’m quite short. It definitely wouldn’t suit me.”

Back in the beauty salon.

Ms. Lin, who had finished her makeup and dressed up, brightened up and quickly approached.

Handing over her Dior chain handbag and taking Zhao Yaqian’s handbag, she said, “Let’s swap for a while, so you won’t worry.”

Zhao Yaqian was slightly startled and quickly took it.

Ms. Lin ran her slender fingers over the leather surface, her eyes filled with love.

After examining the stitches, hardware, and internal labels of the handbag, she exclaimed, “It’s definitely genuine. You’re quite capable, Yaqian.”

Zhao Yaqian laughed, “It’s a gift from my boyfriend. I couldn’t afford it myself.”

“Oh… a boyfriend, huh? Very generous,” Ms. Lin looked at her beautician Yaqian with a complex expression.

After hanging the handbag on her shoulder and examining it in the mirror for a while, Ms. Lin indulged herself and flicked her hair.

Standing 173 centimeters tall, she could easily pull off this Carryall, looking both beautiful and chic.

Then, she picked up her smartphone and posed in various ways in front of the mirror, snapping away.

After satisfying her craving, she reluctantly handed the handbag back, saying with a smile, “Yaqian, let’s add each other on WeChat. Next time I come here for beauty treatment, I’ll still look for you. I have a lot of knowledge about luxury products, and you can ask me about caring for this handbag.”

“Okay, thank you, Ms. Lin.” Zhao Yaqian was all smiles as she quickly pulled out her phone and opened the QR code.

After they added each other as friends, Ms. Lin whispered, “My name is Lin Muxue, you can call me Muxue or Xue, no need to be so formal.”

“Yes, yes.”

“All right, then. Bye-bye~”

“Bye-bye~”

As she left Isa Beauty Salon and got into a car by the road.

Lin Muxue opened WeChat, chose who could see her posts, and shared the selfies she had just taken.

Then she opened TikTok, made a photo collage video, crafted her caption, and clicked post.

Only then did she indulge in self-admiration contentedly.
