Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4831  Nine Primordial Souls

”…”

Davisʼs heart shook as he heard up to this point.

Back then, Fairy Thunderblaze had said to him that these Nine Primordial Souls were apex existences born at the same time as the Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts or nearer. She claimed that the souls of the Nine Primordials had completely integrated with the life and death of all lives.

How much of it was true- he didnʼt know.

But now, he was shocked to hear that the Twelve Mythical Paragon Magical Beasts were born from the Being of Original Desire. The Second Primordial Soul gave birth to them. On the other hand, it was the Being of Original Virtue that formed the first of the Seraphim Race.

Davis finally understood why the Seraphim Race would always claim that they were firstborns of the heavens and were favored.

It turns out that their true ancestor really mightʼve been the Being of Original Virtue.

ʼSo it seems like the Seraphims came first, Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts second, and the Spirits third… all of the good things went to them, leaving the human race straggling to learn cultivation from the status of being livestock. This didnʼt change until human raceʼs experts like the Sky Word Emperor and the Celestial Transcendent paved the path to supremacy.ʼ Davis could imagine how terrifying it was to be a human trillions of years ago.

He could imagine magical beasts and other lifeforms throwing humans into their bellies like they were cherries or grapes, mere snacks for entertainment.

The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor gobbled up more desolate heavenly factors to break his own technique. Despite having an extreme amount of energy that could allow him to fight with this divergent day and night, he still appeared to have trouble.

”Now the Heavens looked at the universe and saw that it had created order. Everything was in balance. However, it frowned when it saw the order was harming growth as they were complacent in remaining stagnant. So it created something that it could feed on them and tip the scale to a better order, and that was the Fourth Primordial Soul, the Being of Original Strife. Its first incarnation was said to be a Devil.”

”Nether Devil?” Davis lay back down again with a frown.

The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor shook his head, ”We Seraphim completely eradicated the Devils in our era hundreds of trillions of years ago. Whatʼs remaining in the Nether Dimension is a part of the Devil Race, but theyʼre not a part of the Three Layered Realms.”

ʼHow powerful were the Seraphims? Itʼs a good thing that theyʼre in decline compared to their glorious days.ʼ Davisʼs mouth went wide open nearly. Eradicating an entire race wasnʼt something that was possible in this current day and age, considering everything was in equilibrium.

The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor continued, ”Regardless, all that order yet darkness reigned. The Three Layered Realms were without light, and only certain regions were lit up by the astral stars, so it created the Fifth Primordial Soul - Being of Original Illumination. In other words, the Solar Reverence.”

”…!”

Davis sprang up again, swerving his neck that wanted to lean on something so badly.

”Then again, the Solar Reverence was too bright and hot for the universe. It wasnʼt cooling down, and yin was in imbalance now that the darkness receded. Hence, the Heavens illuminated the world with the Being of Original Shroud, the Lunar Reverence. Finally, yin and yang were in balance.”

”Was the universe finally in harmony? Yes. But as you can see, there are Nine Primordial Souls, not seven.”

”The Heavens created the Seventh Primordial Soul - Being of Original Space. With every soul being created and gaining unhindered growth, the Heavens realized space was in for a tragic outcome, so it created the Being of Original Space, who helped it create the Three Layers and limit the powers of the beings inside.”

”With space protected, time was still in jeopardy. It was repeatedly violated by many beings, including the Ouroboros Infinity Serpent, the Mythical Paragon Magical Beast that was in control of time. Hence, it put a stop to the manipulation of time through the creation of Eighth Primordial Soul, the Being of Original Eon.”

Davis looked up at the life-death skies. It was currently being invaded by desolate heavenly lightning and spacetime, ʼNo wonder no one can use Time Laws properly and require to comprehend Space Laws or other Laws and fuse with Time Laws in order to be capable of manipulating it.ʼ

The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor repeated Davisʼs motions, looking up, ”Finally, realizing that everything was in place for a bountiful universe, the Heavens created its last primordial soul, simultaneously the weakest and the most powerful soul that embodied the sins of the primordial souls and the world behind it- the Ninth Primordial Soul, Being of Original Sin.”

”…”

An air of silence radiated between them.

Davis had a lot of matters to consider after hearing about the Nine Primordial Souls.

The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor also let him digest for a while before opening his mouth again.

”While every Primordial Soul agreed to undergo reincarnation in the Reincarnation Cycle and seep into all beings because they were too powerful to be concentrated into one being and jeopardized countless other souls, only one retaliated. In that era, it was said to be the weakest Primordial Soul yet also the most dis-complaint with its undying and overbearing Will. It reincarnated into the weakest race, hiding among the countless mortal lifeforms, still existing in some manner that threatens the Heavens.”

”…” Davisʼs lips parted as he heaved a breath, full of exhaustion, ”So thatʼs what is going on…”

”Hmm, Iʼm not sure.” The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor spoke casually as he drowsily waved his hand, ”History is written by the winners. The Heavenborne Archiveʼs records werenʼt written by the Being of Original Virtue but my ancestors, so itʼs hard to say whatʼs true and whatʼs not.”

He took the gourd again and chugged in a lot of energy to keep him awake and attempt to break this disastrously cozy landscape.

”As for the Being of Original Sin, I presume you are merely one of its hiding spots. It could choose you or someone else to completely possess, not that it matters, since youʼre going to die today. If the Being of Original Sin has sprouted in you, itʼs great. Both of you can be sent out.”

He finished his sentence and wiped the crackling crimson negative-white lightning and dense purple-silver spacetime off his lips like he was wiping blood. However, when he returned his gaze to Davis, he was momentarily taken aback to find someone else there.

”Darling~”

A woman clad in a blue-white robe appeared beside Davis, her figure exquisite and her face seductive. Fine yin energy exuded from her curvaceous body, looking to swallow him whole as she would accept all of him.

”Thereʼs someone interrupting us. Please get rid of him~” She coaxingly echoed, her hands roaming over Davisʼs chest.

”As you command.”

Davisʼs lips curled. Unexpectedly, his body rose up, standing on two legs. With a stretch of his hand, he summoned a pitch-black scythe that radiated a deathly air.

The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestorʼs eyes went wide, ”Itʼs not your strange lightning spirit or the death beast wolf. Youʼre cheating. How can another person intrude in this realm? The heavens will smite you!”

Davis clicked his tongue, walking over with his scythe, ”It turns out that I can use Level Three Obscure intent of Enigmatic Heart Laws in my mental realm, State of Divine Possession. After expending all methods and getting rid of the fear of backlash, I finally used it to reshape and re-manifest my beloved wives in this world since Iʼve absorbed all their emotions intimately, more or less.”

”It still doesnʼt make sense.” The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor responded dumbfoundedly, not understanding what it had to do with canceling out the calm.

With just a word from that blue-robed woman, his opponent was able to walk and move properly? What kind of bullshit was that?

Davis smirked, ”If my body and soul are truthful to the techniqueʼs invitation and want rest, I bet it also wants its loving wives to feel extremely comfortable. If it wants to be comfortable, I bet it would also eliminate all hindrances.”

Davis raised his scythe, its sharp black gleam making the Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor feel an itch over his neck. His expression churned.

”You canʼt be serious…” The Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestor said coldly, not believing it.

At the same time, his energy churned, recognizing the danger as he tried to break the confinement of cozy calmness.

Davis momentarily paused, thinking, ʼBut why did Natalya come up first when it should be Myria whoʼs the closest to my soulʼs composition? Even Nadia and Eldia couldʼve come up since theyʼre connected to my soul and nearby. Is this because I started mutually worshiping Natalya in an attempt to help strengthen her Godskull in the future?ʼ

Davis couldnʼt tell, but he felt happier than ever to have seen her face and hear her sweet voice after a long time, his gaze flashing with killing intent before the scythe cleaved across the heaven and earth in one full circle.

Dazzling waves of death energy spiraled as the Twelve-Winged Seraphim Ancestorʼs head flew in an arc.

”Iʼm just a man who is obsessed with his wives to a grave fault...” Davisʼs voice vaguely echoed in the air as he disappeared.
