Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4528: The Seraphim Race

Davis saw his children from afar.

It was like they kicked up a storm, causing Davis’s jaws to drop over the loud arguing that kept echoing the surroundings.

Regardless, he descended and tried to put a stop to their argument.

”Children, the laws are simple. Men of the family do not get more than three wives, and for that, they need the explicit written consent of their first wife and the subsequent wives. For the women of the family, it is your choice to be with a man who wants only one or multiple women in his life. It is generally recommended to have the former, but it’s not realistic since it is extremely difficult to find someone like that, someone like Ancestor Dian Alstreim who has both the wits and fists to protect and move forward, so I wish you the best of luck.”

”...”

Azariel and Eterna soundlessly grumbled.

One wanted more women, and the other wanted her man to only have her.

Davis looked at his children and inwardly sighed. As his cute little spawns, they were much greedier than the average person out there.

Only Lucian and Celestia gave him some semblance of peace, but even that might change in the future.

”Remember, marriage is a contract. It is an agreement between two people, and communication is the key. Talk about everything no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Don’t postpone it for fear of retaliation or abandonment. As long as the boundaries are not crossed, a marriage can survive through hot and cold weather. Today’s lesson on relationships is that’s all from me.”

Davis chuckled, casting a glance at Evelynn, who nodded at him before he turned to look at Lucian.

”How long are you going to keep her in your life ring? I understand that it is dangerous outside, but at least let her out now since we’re going to eat together as a family after meeting with the Seraphims.”

”...”

Lucian looked dumbfounded. With everyone’s gaze on him, he quickly hid his life ring, but that just made everyone gawk at him.

”You- you brought Saffira here? You’re crazy...”

Eterna looked at Lucian as though she didn’t recognize him.

When did Lucian become so bold?

Even Aurelia and Sheria didn’t get the chance to come here because their prowess wasn’t adequate and they were focused on learning alchemy and still hadn’t finished the advanced curriculum, so they couldn’t be bothered to leave.

However, Lucian brought his girlfriend, who was just at the beginning of the Immortal Emperor Stage. How was she supposed to survive here?

He really was taking it too far.

”Father...!”

Lucian looked at his father with some complaint etched on his face, ”I only brought her here to earn mother’s approval as soon as possible and not because I want her to put her in danger.”

”I know, I know. But it will be lonely for her to spend time in the life ring, so bring her out.”

Davis said.

Suddenly, a silhouette jumped on his shoulder, and Davis caressed soft fur.

Nadia sweetly purred, her voice soft and pleasant, ”I captured some Atlas Family supreme geniuses and others who hid in this region. Should I eliminate them?”

She asked while enjoying his caresses.

”Atlas Family...”

Davis sighed, ”They are a bit complicated to deal with. Azariel, did you kill some of them?”

”No, they’re quite extraordinary in this Shard Region filled with spatial-attribute, managing to escape. I was playing hide and seek with them, trying to hunt them before you all emerged and caught me.”

Azariel chuckled. However, he looked at Mother Nadia with respect. For her to capture the Atlas Family supreme geniuses without making a sound, he felt that she was an absolute monster in terms of concealment and even perception, as it was not easy to find them hiding within these extra spatial layers or spatial holes.

”Well, if you had killed some, that’s also fine. It’s not like everyone is going to sympathize with her.”

”...?” Azariel inclined his head, wondering who he was talking about.

Nonetheless, he shook his head, ”My friends have been held long enough. Release them, father.”

”Alright, alright.”

Davis opened a portal and stepped through. The others followed and ended up inside a crystalline space. It appeared to have been carved out recently, and inside was Myria along with three Seraphims.

Two of them were men and one of them was a woman.

They looked absolutely dazzling and sacred, their aura eliciting a worshipful reaction from him, which then irked him for no reason.

Davis blinked.

It seems like his strange Will was affected in their presence.

’Could it be that I had a beef with them in some previous life? But how can that be? I was the yang split from Myria’s soul, and if I have to exaggerate, I could have been said to be born in the Reincarnation Dimension when we split and not somewhere else. I should not have met them. Strange...’

Davis wondered. Perhaps he didn’t like the worshipful aura stemming from them. Regardless-

”Well, well, what do we have here?”

Davis walked toward the captured Seraphims as he scanned them with his eyes.

”There are many legends of the Seraphim Race. Some say they’re the heaven’s children because the heaven itself was a Seraphim that had evolved into a dimensional being. Some say that the heaven’s personally poured all of its resources and attention on the Seraphim Race when it first created life. Then there is another theory that is the most believable but also offensive to the three major races. After all, you all look like humans, but possess the bodily might of magical beasts and have a monstrous soul belonging to spirits. Because of these characteristics, it is said that the three races were stripped from the Seraphim race and spread across the universe. I wonder which one of them is true?”

”None. Can you release them already?” Viridia pouted.

”As you command, my lovely daughter.”

Davis bowed towards Viridia, causing her to blush.

He gave a glance towards Myria, and the three Seraphims immediately took the air upon being released, their six wings spreading across the area like they were divine angels showing their true form. A circular halo appeared above their heads, maintaining an absolute defense across their body as it formed a spherical barrier.

”Stand down! He’s my father, and that’s my mother! They’re not enemies.”

They were about to make their next move desperately when Azariel echoed. His voice made them shiver before they realized what they said.

But still, they couldn’t comprehend what Azariel and Viridia were saying.

In their quivering gaze shimmered the shadow of a pitch-black man and the ethereal presence of a canvas-white woman. These two figures were wreathed in opposing auras, one sinister, one pure, each concealing mysteries that beckoned to be unraveled or perhaps warned to be left undisturbed.
