Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 940 What A Pity...

”Forgive? You want me to forgive you for all of this?” Princess Isabella spread her hands as she looked around.

The entire region in this place was absolutely devastated. Mountains have crumbled, and the land had been flattened, and some parts scorched ever-black or rivers and puddles of water that made the land look like a swamp could be seen all over the place. Some puddles of water were even crimson in color, releasing the grave stench of blood.

The Aqua Flood Dragon cast a glance below with its two large eyes but didnʼt find anything strange other than the usual destruction it caused. However, realizing that the person with the extremely suppressing dragon aura was a human, it realized that it had indeed made a mistake in provoking the humans this time.

It didnʼt know what this woman was going to do to it but with her angered expression, it knew that it wasnʼt going to be anything good for it.

”Oh, revered one... Please...” The Aqua Flood Dragon felt afraid as it sensed a glorious presence in that womanʼs body, and its own body was not listening to its commands. Neither was it able to move as it looked on the outside, feeling constricted.

It knew that its own bloodline worked against it at this point but was unable to do anything about it!

”If you want forgiveness, there is a way...” Princess Isabellaʼs eyes flashed with a cunning light.

”You must repent under my rule! Become my magical beast mount!”

”!!!” The Aqua Flood Dragon pupils shook as it became visibly panicked.

”No!”

”Hmph! If you wonʼt, then Iʼll forcibly make you one!”

Princess Isabella shot forward in an unbridled manner!

Everyone panicked in her stead, and even Davis shot forwards in an instant!

However, it was as if it was the last straw!

The Aqua Flood Dragon violently turned around and shot towards the distance! It did not even have the courage to growl and roar as it fled with its tail shrunken back!

”What!?”

Numerous cries of disbelief echoed!

Princess Isabella tried to give a chase, but it was too fast! Its fleeing speed was even faster than the speed it chased Elise Alstreim with! Its speed practically reached a thousand kilometers per second as it fled!

She stopped at a point in midair as she looked at the stiff tail of the fleeing Aqua Flood Dragon and coldly harrumphed before she muttered, ”What a pity...”

Ancestor Dian Alstreim still watched the scene with wide eyes that almost fell out of his sockets, still not fully perceiving what had happened. Still, he kept his concentration and worked on retracting his attack.

The Nine Hell Sky Palm distorted before it slowly disintegrated out of existence. Space stopped its trembling, and the cracks seamlessly stitched itself as the atmosphere returned to normal.

Ancestor Dian Alstreim heaved a sigh of relief as he successfully retracted his terrifying attack.

Fortunately, the Nine Hell Sky Palm was just at the Eight Waves, which was still within his realm of control. If it had been the Nine Waves instead, he knew that he wouldʼve been unable to retract it like this and perhaps blown to kingdom come along with the entire surroundings in the range of a thousand kilometers if he didnʼt release it.

However, all that was wasted now was a small percentage of his essence energy.

Davis appeared outside the barrier as he heavily sighed, ”Young Mistress, even though I warned you that it is dangerous-”

”Enough.” Princess Isabella interrupted, ”Your existence is to protect me. You do your task, and Iʼll do mine. I cannot allow a lowly dragon run rampant in the place Iʼm visiting at, and besides...”

Princess Isabella creased her brows as she looked around at the devastated areas. It was unknown to her how many people had died.

”I was already late...”

”The lives that are here arenʼt our responsibility. Itʼs the responsibility of the people who own this place...” Davis creased his brows and replied.

He didnʼt possess the exact number as well since the whole region was chaotic from the clash of two ninth stage powers, but he could still guess that the death toll numbered over the tens of thousands.

”Still...” Princess Isabellaʼs brows furrowed.

”Thatʼs right; itʼs my responsibility. The Conferred Queen doesnʼt have to responsibility or remorse over this incident. It was my own weakness that led to this aftermath.” Ancestor Dian Alstreim chimed in with a hoarse voice.

It was unknown what he was thinking, but he bent his waist ninety degrees and bowed, ”I thank the Conferred Queenʼs assistance in aiding the Alstreim Family and single-handedly making the Aqua Flood Dragon retreat. It is clear that it is afraid of your noble dragon bloodline, and retreated since it doesnʼt want to become your magical beast mount. However, emulating the bloodline of a dragon should have a certain cost.”

”The Alstreim Family will never forget this favor.”

The Grand Elders all came out of the Eight Ashfall Arms Formation and gave a respectful and admiring bow. Even Grand Elder Valdrey Alstreim gave a bow that was filled with respect. Their gazes when they look at the Conferred Queen was no longer that of an elder, neither than that of an equal.

They were looking at her as if they were the ones who possess a lower stature. Grand Elder Valdrey Alstreim and even Ancestor Dian Alstreim was no exception.

In fact, Grand Elder Valdrey Alstreim felt the most gratitude out of everyone here.

If the Aqua Flood Dragon did more damage and managed to waste the resources, perhaps even breaking into the Grand Alstreim City, the sin that his daughter would have to carry wouldnʼt be any less than of a traitor. In truth, it would be even more of a sin than a traitor could carry!

”To have repelled a dragon just with your bloodline, it seems that you truly can be named a Queen. Perhaps, the Dragon Queen would be more apt for your esteemed self.” Grand Elder Valdrey Alstreim praised without pretense.

”Dragon Queen?” Princess Isabellaʼs expression became strange, ”I donʼt deserve to possess such a title. There are probably many women who are stronger than me even if I reach my peak in this life.”

”Even so, let this old man call your esteemed self Dragon Queen from now on...”

”We are grateful to the Dragon Queen!”

The other Grand Elders simultaneously echoed out as they bowed in unison and clasped their hands again.

Princess Isabella blushed a little at being called the Dragon Queen. She felt both embarrassed and a bit of content. She just couldnʼt let it go after she heard from Davis about the destruction caused by the Aqua Flood Dragon during the battle.

It was equivalent to a human settlement or a city facing a magical beast tide. She just couldnʼt let it happen on her watch! Besides, it felt good to be treated as a heroine by these people who possessed greater cultivation than her.

ʼHaha, no one dislikes praise when it comes from oneʼs heart...ʼ Davis inwardly laughed at Princess Isabella.

However, he became worried about her health.

What is this so-called cost that Ancestor Dian Alstreim mentioned about when emulating the aura of the Earth Dragon?
