The Noble Lady of Lust

Chapter 224: Metamorphosis

”Here’s your storage, Eryon-sama.”

”Perfect. Once I’m done ascending, we can take our time to deepen our friendship.”

I said as I made a refreshing smile and winked at him. I’m not going to waste that I’m handsome. I had to use everything in my power to accomplish this mission, she was now an obstacle in my mission and just like Akihara I had to know how to deal with her.

Once she saw my flirting she blushed a little, although she tried to remain serious and just when I thought she would break her role as a maid.

Thud!

Before I even realized it, she had left the room in a bit of a hurry. Well, she basically disappeared from in front of me at a speed I couldn’t understand.

”Eryon-sama, if you need anything, call me. I’ll be outside.”

”...”

The only thing I noticed was that the door closed and that his voice was coming from outside. Although it sounded like a normal tone, he was definitely running away, out of embarrassment.

’Definitely, being handsome was the key to making my harem easier... but the good thing is, that means girls aren’t just in it for looks.... right?’

..

Putting that aside, now that I was all alone, it was time to start moving up.

First, I have to calm my mind and strengthen my will, I always did that by going over the basics and about what a metamorphosis is and what it entails.

To begin with, in this world, all beings have mana circulating through their body in one form or another. Even without having trained, small amounts of mana begin to form part of the body, which means that even the weakest in this world are above the standard of my previous world.

The legacy I possess allows me to simply quantify the overall power of people and my own, presenting it to me in a way I can easily understand. As far as my alternate self knew, the statistics I observe are a direct reflection of my own perception and understanding of the world.

These statistics are divided into five categories because, according to my perspective, this structure makes the most sense. However, this is not an absolute rule.

Depending on the person and their legacy, this quantification may vary. Some people might perceive only a general statistic, while someone more detailed or analytical might interpret multiple additional categories.

In the end, it all depends on how the user understands the world. Legacy adapts perfectly to the mind of the one who owns it, offering an accurate quantification tailored to his or her way of thinking. In my case, the Eyes of Lust is never wrong. No matter how many statistics are observed, the information will always be accurate and reliable.

The reason it is presented to me as five statistics, as in a game, is because of the understanding I gained through the memories and experiences of my alternate self, to the point that, unconsciously, this was the result. For me it is certainly clear and easy to understand.

First, there is ”Mana” (statistics). mana is an energy that everyone has. The body of the beings of this world has a unique nervous system that is capable of storing it.

If you have a talent for storing mana(energy) in that place and employ proper breathing techniques, you can strengthen this magical nervous system, which makes your body increasingly able to store more mana(energy) and produce it of high quality, thus increasing what I see as the mana statistic.

Those who follow this path are naturally talented at wielding mana(energy)and becoming mages.

Then, there are the other four stats, those that affect our physical body. Those who are not talented in strengthening this magical nervous system, which is most often the case, take the mana(energy) directly into their body.

If you have a talent for growth, your body naturally adapts to a particular way of growing, or as I believe, in the other four main stats I decided, in which the body has talent. making you a warrior.

To me these four are logical and cover all general aspects, if you have growth talent in ’Strength’, your muscles and bones and every part of your physical body develop to be ’stronger’.

The mana that enters each part of your body, makes it of better quality and optimizes you to exert more strength without the need for bulky muscles. And therefore it is reflected in the strength statistics.

Likewise, if you have a growth talent towards ’Agility’, the mana improves and optimizes your body, makes it lighter. Your muscles become more elastic and flexible, which makes you naturally faster, more agile and even improves your dexterity and reaction speed. Basically, your body adapts for this.

If you have ’Defense’, mana makes your body more resistant to external factors, tougher against blows, both physical and magical, and therefore harder to break, tear or cut, and even be affected by curses, poisons, diseases and other things that are not part of your body.

And ’Vitality’, that’s the stat that, if you have talent, allows you to have more stamina and recover from damage. People with this growth talent are naturally more adaptable and resilient, and even have more longevity.

and the arts that although they have attack and combat techniques in them as well as other secondary functions, in their essence are mainly customized physical training to increase these statistics, and optimize the gain of power.

Depending on how much your body is able to improve with mana the more powerful you become, which is equivalent to the growth talent.

This is the easiest way I have of looking at the growth and strength of everything in the world, and so far it’s worked for me, even if it’s not perfect.

It’s more detailed than simply knowing that a person is much stronger than you, as in the case of Akihara, who, although she has two higher ranks, would not be faster than Vey, even if she tried her best.

But, even so, it is not perfect, as Agility can be influenced by Strength and vice versa, Vitality and Defense, which can also affect each other. Mana (statistics) and Vitality are also related, especially with respect to the mental, since the magical nervous system strengthens the mind and thinking. However, Vitality improves the brain as an organ.

The mana stat can also affect the other stats, since that magic nervous system needs a good enough body for there to be a balance and passively affects the body to be strengthened and intervenes with the other stats to support that amount of mana.

In the end, that’s the reason why the other stats also increase, even if you have growth talent in only one. It’s a reflection of how they affect each other and the direction that everyone’s body is taking with respect to their growth talent.

Now, when a person reaches a certain limit in their body, which is curiously the same for everyone, the body needs to move up and improve its rank of existence, making you a superior being to and allowing the mana to keep improving you more and more.

There is a reason why the term ’metamorphosis’ is commonly used. What I am about to do is to use the momentum I have and the fact that my body reached the limit of my current existence to transform it, or to put it another way, I will have my evolution.

In this world a person stops becoming strong when he reaches his talent limit and cannot store in any way mana in his body, and that does not happen during ascents. if you reach the limit of your rank like me you are sure to ascend the only thing that would limit you would be the arts or breaths,

The only problem would be with which direction to take your body to become a higher existence, but that has long since been solved, and the arts and breaths, as long as you make them flow during your ascent, are sufficient.

but only for powerful arts and breaths, if the art is so weak that it can’t even take you more than four metamorphoses you would have to risk and break through and that can lead to death, which I and the girls don’t have to worry about for a long time, with our high level arts and breaths.

..

’well everything is in order’

after calming down I started, although it’s risky, I undo my morphogenesis and return to my real appearance. I just hope Vey keeps her promise and doesn’t allow anyone to disturb me during this delicate moment.

I just need to calm down and let everything flow in the right way guided by the art of lust.

As the mana flows through my body, I feel my boundaries slowly begin to unravel, giving me that last little push I needed.

Making it so it’s not just that my muscles and bones are getting stronger, but on a more fundamental level, and every part and piece of me is getting better in quality.

I feel a hard to explain feeling a mix between intense pain and intense relief happening at the same time in every part of my body, it was strange, but I needed to stay calm and keep my focus.

Crack, crack.

With an imaginary sound, I feel how something that was limiting my existence starts to break and what seemed impossible before is now a reality: my body and my mind start to evolve slowly, my body was going through a complete metamorphosis.
