Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 2052 - 381: Power and Speed 2

Wang Yalan said, ”It canʼt be said like that. With the Warriors Alliance around, we certainly canʼt eliminate the Zhang family of Jinling. But even then, the Tianhai Zhang family wouldnʼt dare do anything to us, right? Without the Warriors Alliance, they would probably have sent experts who we couldnʼt withstand long ago.”

”Yes, if that were the case, our three major families would indeed be in danger,” Wang Yaning nodded in agreement.

”What are you guys talking about?” Zhu Liyue suddenly appeared not far away, walking towards them while asking.

Only then did Wang Yalan and the others realize why Wang Yue had changed the topic. Apparently, he had noticed earlier that Zhu Liyue was approaching.

Fortunately, his cultivation level was high, so he realized before Zhu Liyue heard their conversation. Otherwise, if such a situation involving siblings getting too close together were to be overheard by others, it would be troublesome.

”Nothing much, we were just discussing the current situation in Jinling,” Wang Yue said. ”The Zhang family of Jinling now has the support of the Tianhai Zhang family, so the situation for our three major families isnʼt very good.”

”You donʼt have to worry about that,” Zhu Liyue smiled. ”The Tianhai Zhang family wonʼt send too strong experts. As for ordinary experts, I believe you can handle them.”

”Really? Sister Yue, how are you so sure?” Wang Yue asked.

Zhu Liyue replied, ”Itʼs because of the Warriors Alliance. In recent years, Iʼve been to many places and truly witnessed the strength of the Warriors Alliance. With them watching over us, not to mention the Tianhai Zhang family, even the real powerful families in the capital wouldnʼt dare act rashly.”

”But isnʼt the Warriors Alliance controlled by these powerful families? How come they still donʼt dare act rashly?” Wang Yue asked again.

Zhu Liyue smiled slightly. ”Exactly because of this, they donʼt dare act carelessly. Those powerful families arenʼt united; some even have deep hatreds for each other. Theyʼre all waiting to catch each otherʼs faults.”

Wang Yue sighed. ”We canʼt pin our hopes solely on this. For those powerful families, the three major families of Jinling are too insignificant. Maybe one day, a small exchange of interests among them could destroy us. So, we must strengthen ourselves first.”

Zhu Liyue was surprised. She didnʼt expect Wang Yue, at such a young age, to have such insight. Her heart couldnʼt help but marvel: Truly worthy of being the nephew of the palace master!

”Youʼre completely right. We must strengthen ourselves first,” Zhu Liyue smiled. ”How about we have a battle to see if youʼre strong enough?”

”Sister Zhu, what part of my brother do you want to see if heʼs strong enough?” Wang Yaru suddenly interjected.

Zhu Liyue realized that her words might have been misunderstood and quickly said, ”Of course, itʼs his strength and skills. How about, little Wang Yue, do you dare to have a few rounds with me?”

Wang Yue understood that Zhu Liyue wanted to guide him under the guise of a battle.

Although his cultivation level was higher than Zhu Liyueʼs, when it came to martial arts skills and experience, he was probably not as good as her, or even far behind.

After all, it was unlikely that Zhu Liyue had also improved rapidly like him.

So he nodded and said, ”Okay, Iʼd really like Sister Yueʼs guidance.”

”To avoid accidentally harming each other, letʼs both suppress our cultivation levels to the peak of the Body Tempering Realm,” Zhu Liyue suggested.

She had also noticed Wang Xinerʼs true cultivation level, and since Wang Yue was Wang Xinerʼs twin brother, he probably wasnʼt weak either. If they fought freely, her disguise as someone in the Qi Refining Realm wouldnʼt hold up.

Wang Yue agreed, and the two immediately went to an open area next to the rockery, got into fighting positions, and began exchanging moves.

Compared to Zhu Liyue, who simply suppressed her cultivation level, Wang Yue had a harder time. He not only had to suppress his cultivation level but also control his true cultivation level to around the middle of the Tianyuan Realm in Zhu Liyueʼs eyes.

Fortunately, his cultivation level was much higher than Zhu Liyueʼs. With careful control, he didnʼt reveal any flaws.

In terms of martial arts skills, Wang Yue didnʼt use any unexpected moves. He always used the family-inherited martial arts of the Wang family.

The two exchanged dozens of moves before stopping.

”Your moves are quite proficient, but you lack practical combat experience. You should practice more in the future,” Zhu Liyue commented.

Then she added, ”But I think your true cultivation level is probably beyond the Qi Refining Realm. But I remember that last time we met, you were only at the fourth level of the Qi Refining Realm. How could you improve so quickly?”

”I once went exploring with my aunt and got caught in a secret realm. There, I obtained a set of cultivation techniques. After practicing them, I reached the Tianyuan Realm,” Wang Yue replied, half-truthfully.

”What level of cultivation technique is so powerful? Itʼs able to elevate one from the Qi Refining Realm to the Tianyuan Realm in such a short time,” Zhu Liyue exclaimed in amazement.

Such a powerful technique isnʼt even available in the Xuan Nu Palace.

Could it be some kind of heretical technique that requires sacrificing oneʼs foundation in exchange for rapid advancement?

”Itʼs indeed powerful, but that technique is only effective before reaching the Tianyuan Realm. Once one reaches the peak of the Tianyuan Realm, it loses its effect,” Wang Yue replied casually.

Hearing Wang Yueʼs explanation, Zhu Liyue felt relieved and said with a smile, ”Thatʼs still quite good. If everyone could practice this technique, I believe it wouldnʼt take long before all three major families become experts at the peak of the Tianyuan Realm, thereby firmly establishing their position in Jinling.”

”Yes, thatʼs why weʼre all working hard on our cultivation right now,” Wang Yue nodded in agreement. ”Sister Yue, do you want to try practicing it too? I can teach you.”

”Thank you, but no need. The technique I practice is already very good, and it canʼt be practiced alongside other techniques.” A technique that only allows for rapid advancement to the peak of the Tianyuan Realm naturally has little appeal to Zhu Liyue, who has already reached the Gui Zhen Realm.

However, she was still deeply moved. After all, cultivation techniques are usually kept secret, yet Wang Yue offered to teach her without hesitation, indicating that he didnʼt see her as an outsider.

Moved by this, Zhu Liyue decided to give Wang Yue more guidance. She said, ”I noticed that not only is your cultivation deep, but your true energy is also purer than that of ordinary warriors, right?”

”Yes, that technique does have the effect of purifying true energy,” Wang Yue nodded.

”Thatʼs a great advantage. Have you thought about how to utilize this purer true energy?” Zhu Liyue asked.

”Of course, to enhance the power of my moves,” Wang Yue replied. ”The purer the true energy, the faster it circulates within the body and the easier it is to control. Applying this to martial arts naturally increases the output of true energy in each move.”

”That makes sense,” Zhu Liyue nodded first, then added, ”But I think itʼs not comprehensive enough. After all, no matter how powerful a martial art move is, if it misses its target, itʼs useless. Have you considered utilizing this advantage in other areas?”

Wang Yueʼs heart stirred. Zhu Liyue really hit upon his weakness. His ultimate move, ”Level 8 Great Fury Wind,” was indeed powerful enough that even experts at the fifth or sixth level of the De Fan Realm might not be able to parry it.

But he didnʼt think he could easily defeat such experts just with this move, because the preparation time before launching the move was too long.

Although he had already reduced the preparation time to within 0.1 seconds, this was still too long for experts at the De Fan Realm.

So he immediately asked, ”In what other areas can it be utilized?”

”Speed,” Zhu Liyue said.

”With true energy boosting their bodies, warriors wonʼt be harmed by overly fast movements. What truly limits the speed of moves is the speed at which true energy circulates within the body. Donʼt just focus on using purer true energy to increase output. You can actually reduce the output of true energy in each move, thereby making the moves faster.”

Wang Yueʼs heart trembled. Yes, he had previously focused solely on enhancing the power of his moves, ignoring the fact that purer true energy could also make moves faster.

Hundreds of years ago, there was a saying: ”Among all martial arts in the world, nothing is indestructible except speed.”

Although this statement is somewhat absolute, it does make sense.

Whether ordinary people or warriors, their bodies have instinctive reactions. When attacked, due to subconscious defensive mechanisms, the body becomes stiff.

Therefore, if the move is fast enough and the force isnʼt too weak, itʼs possible to achieve something like an ”infinite combo” effect in games.

Moreover, Wang Yueʼs true energy purity was not just twice or three times that of ordinary warriors, but over forty times. If utilized to its fullest potential, it could increase the speed of moves by more than ten times.

This was just the current situation. If continued to improve, achieving the legendary ”Instant Hell Kill” (thousands of strikes in an instant) might not be just a dream anymore.

Following this line of thought, Wang Yue became increasingly convinced that there was much potential.

Of course, he wouldnʼt give up on enhancing the power of his moves. After all, itʼs true that ”no matter how powerful a move is, itʼs useless if it misses its target.”

But if the attack power isnʼt sufficient, even if the speed is fast enough to break through the opponentʼs defense, itʼs still embarrassing.

Therefore, itʼs important to develop both aspects simultaneously.

”Sister Yue, thank you for reminding me. I know what to do now,” Wang Yue said sincerely. Zhu Liyueʼs guidance was like waking someone from a dream.

Zhu Liyue smiled and said, ”Itʼs nothing. I just proposed an idea. The actual cultivation still depends on you.”
