New Age Of Summoners

Old Lin knew Princess Daphne’s personality from her childhood and he also knew that she would not be able to hold the secret much longer.

So, he was very confident that she would definitely stop him from leaving the room.

”Say then,” After turning his head towards Prince Daphne, Old Lin asked her with a small smile on his face.

”It is because of the inheritance I have received from the Summoner King’s inheritance ground,” Princess Daphne proudly said as though she had achieved something in her life.

There was nothing wrong with her excitement or pride because it was a very rare thing to achieve what she had done in her second awakening.

”Good. I didn’t think that the inheritance would help you this much,” Old Lin’s face was filled with a satisfied expression when he heard Princess Daphne’s words.

Previously, he thought that the Summoner king’s inheritance helped Princess Daphne in increasing her cultivation speed for a set of time; however, he never felt that the actual use of the inheritance was to find the elemental spirits in the elemental spirit world and to form a contract with the elemental spirits.

’If she forms a contract with many elemental spirits whenever she visits the elemental spirit world then she can be more powerful than an average summoner,’

Just thinking about this made the Old Lin excited about her future and looked to the skies and said in his heart, ’Daughter, your daughter will not become like you and can live the life as she likes.’

When he thought about her daughter, the Old Lin sighed but thinking about the bright future of his granddaughter, he felt uncontrollably happy.

Mother of Princess Daphne was not the blood daughter of the Old Lin. She was adopted by him despite having her real parents.

However, Princess Daphne’s mother didn’t like her real parents who were selfish to their core and never asked for her opinion in any of her matters and directly ordered. On the other hand, Old Lin looked after like a real daughter and swore to the heavens and formed a father-daughter bound under heavens.

This matter was not known to anyone except for Stephen Draton, who later gave some valuables to her real parents and managed to marry her.

As for the reason why Stephen did what he did was that he knew that Old Lin was a powerful cultivator, who was only staying in the royal palace temporarily.

Since Old Lin had no relatives, he decided to stay in the royal palace to look after her until he felt she was safe from the monsters of the Royal family.

It was too late for him to realise that it was plan of the royal family monsters for him to stay in the royal palace and protect the palace from any unknown attacks.

”If your mother was alive she would have been very happy for you,” Old Lin stopped his thinking and dared not to think about the events that happened after that marriage and patted Princess Daphne’s head.

As soon as she heard her mother’s name, Princess Daphne felt a pain in her heart that made her cry automatically.

”Don’t cry kid. She will be watching over you from the heavens,” Old Lin suddenly realised that he took out the painful topic for Princess Daphne and tried to console him.

”Hmm”

It took a while for Princess Daphne to control her emotions and calm down.

”Since you have such a good trump to find the elemental spirits, you can finally go to the other province. But be careful not to say the effects of the inheritance to anyone,” When he saw Princess Daphne had finally calmed down, Old Lin slowly said about her entry to another province and at the same time he warned her not to say anything about the inheritance.

”I know grandpa Lin,” Princess Daphne nodded her head with a beautiful smile which reminded Old Lin about her Goddaughter.

”Also, I need to thank someone first before leaving for the other province,” Princess Daphne said in a low voice that made Old Lin raise his brows.

”Who? And why do you need to thank him?” Without wasting any time he asked Princess Daphne about that someone.

Old Lin knew that she didn’t have a single friend and rarely talked with anyone. So, he was interested to know about that someone and why she wants to thank him or her.

”I think his name is Ajax, who entered into the summoner king’s inheritance ground with me,” Princess Daphne’s face got a little bit red when she said about Ajax.

”Huh? You mean the kid that came out with you from the inheritance ground,” Old Lin didn’t take much time to remember Ajax and asked her.

”Yes. Do you know about him, Grandpa Lin?” Princess Daphne asked Old Lin excitedly when she heard his words.

”Of course I know him. He is the talk of the town along with some other guy called Paulin,” Old Lin felt something was weird with his granddaughter as he never saw her become that excited for someone.

”What happened to you? Did you choose your own life partner? Haha,” Old Lin was unable to control his laughter when he said these words to her and laughed.

As soon as she heard Old Lin’s words, Princess Daphne’s face became tomato red but she suppressed her embarrassment and scolded her grandpa, ”Grandpa Lin, there is nothing like that. I didn’t even know about him. How can you say something like that to your 15-year-old granddaughter?”

”What 15 year? In our time, marriages used to be done when the couple was around 14 years,” Old Lin replied to princess Daphne without any delay.

In this world, due to the cultivation and the essence of nature strengthening their bodies from the time they were born, they matured around 12-13 years and people used to marry around 15 years of age. So, Old Lin pointed out this topic to base his words.

”Stop it. Now times are changed. Even if they are not changed, I am not interested in marriage anytime soon,” Princess Daphne took a deep breath and continued, ”Also, the reason I want to thank him for his help in the inheritance ground. Nothing more, nothing less.”

”Ok ok ok. Now say, how did he help you?”

Seeing that Princess Daphne was becoming serious, Old Lin stopped his teasing and asked about Ajax’s help.

Old Lin knew when to stop and decided to stop because if she became hurt with his words and stop talking with him, he would be the one to suffer more than her.

There was a reason for that.

In the whole royal place, Princess Daphne was the only person he felt closest to his heart and openly spoke with her. As for others, he would not even bother to talk and only do his own work.

Even with King Stephen Draton, he only gives his replies with his head and doesn’t bother to open his mouth.

”Because he was the reason I got the inheritance in the inheritance ground,” Princess Daphne, satisfied with the Old Lin’s behaviour and opened her mouth.

”Really?” Not only Old Lin, but even the two royal guards were also shocked when they heard Princess Daphne’s words.
