New Age Of Summoners

Chapter 1688 Darkness Absorption

As far as Ajax believed, the higher the awakening percentage for the Divine Rules, the more difficult it would become.

Even with the help of the Giant Crystals, Ajax could tell that he would need lots of them; otherwise, there would have been many cultivators ascending to the Heavenly Realm.

According to his master, in the last 10000 years, less than 10 members triggered the Lightning Tribulation and only one beast was able to ascend to the Heavenly Bestial Realm whereas the remaining ones were dead.

With Divine Body Cultivation, his success rate of ascending to the Heavenly Human Realm increases to as high as 25 percent whereas, with the help of the Divine Spirit Cultivation, he could reincarnate along with Elemental Spirits in case he was killed before or during the ascension process.

Therefore, Ajax felt that waiting for another 100 or 200 years to consolidate his Divine Body Cultivation and the Divine Spirit Cultivation along with the Divine Rules to have a safe and guaranteed ascension.

ʼIf I am lucky, I might find it within 50 years.ʼ

For an Emperor Realm Cultivator who could live for 10000 years, waiting for 50 years was nothing and Ajax used that as a reference to control his urge of pursuing regular spirit cultivation and body cultivation.

ʼAnyway, letʼs check the information on the Divine Dark Rule.ʼ

Since his Divine Dark Rule had reached the peak of his current cultivation, Ajax decided to check it.

ʼDing,

Divine Rule: Dark (20 percent) (Not Upgradeable).

Effect: 1) Upon activation of the Divine Rule, the host can integrate into the night or darkness and completely avoid any detection techniques.

  2) Absorption of the Dark Essence of Nature increased by 100 times.

Skills: Shadow Travel, Nightmare Creator, Darkness Absorption.

  1) Shadow Travel: The ability to move through shadows or teleport from one shadowy area to another, allowing for quick and stealthy movement.

  2) Nightmare Creator: Itʼs an ability to send the hostʼs enemies into their worst Nightmares.

  3) Darkness Absorption: The cultivator can absorb darkness or negative energy to heal themselves, replenish their strength, or bolster their powers.

  Duration: 20 minutes.

  Cooldown: One day.

The complete information about the Divine Dark Rule appeared in front of him and after reading them, Ajax was thoroughly satisfied with its effects and the skills.

Not only does it have two effects but three skills.

ʼCompared to the Divine Flame Rule which only has two effects and two skills, the Divine Dark Rule has an additional skill.ʼ

Ajax could tell that the additional skill was due to the merging of [Nightmare Weaving] which made him more excited for merging the Cultivatorʼs Souls into the Divine Rules.

ʼNot only will it increase the awakening percentage of the Divine Rule but it will also awaken a skill related to that cultivatorʼs soul. In short, these cultivatorsʼ souls act like Giant Crystals that could let a Divine Rule have more skills.ʼ

With that conclusion, Ajaxʼs motivation to cultivate more cultivatorsʼ souls has increased.

ʼIf Twilight wakes up, I can directly help him awaken a Divine Rule and with it, he could take care of dozens of peak emperor realm cultivators who awakened Divine Rules.ʼ

Ajax took a look at the sleeping little boy in the Dark Elemental Paradise and silently thought in his head.

ʼIt will take at least 30 minutes for my summons to clear all the Darkfire Wraiths in the world. Until then, it is time to test my cultivation speed using my new Divine Rule.ʼI think you should take a look at

After reading the information on the Dark Divine Rule, Ajax was curious about testing his cultivation speed because it said that his cultivation speed would be increased by 100 times.

ʼSystem, I want to temper my body with the Divine Essence of Nature.ʼ

However, before he started cultivating, Ajax wanted to empty his Divine Spirit Consciousness.

Ajax needed to use one million units of the Divine Essence of Nature to temper his body and it was one of the requirements for his body cultivation.

Since he had gained an effect that could let him absorb the Dark Energy 100 times faster, Ajax wanted to start working on it as it would take quite some time for him to use one million units of the Divine Essence of Nature to temper the body.

ʼDing,

The host has used 1000 units of the Divine Essence of Nature to temper his body.

ʼSwooshʼ

In the next second, the 1000 units of Divine Essence of Nature in Ajaxʼs Divine Spirit Consciousness disappeared and at the same time, Ajax felt some itching on his skin.

ʼThis might be because of the body tempering with the Divine Essence of Nature.ʼ

Compared to the pain he had endured in the past, enduring the current level of itching was nothing for Ajax.

The itching sensation lasted for one minute as Ajax finally received a system notification.

ʼDing,

The host has successfully tempered his body with 1000 units of the Divine Essence of Nature.

ʼDing,

Body Tempering with Divine Essence of Nature: 1000 / 1000000 units.

ʼGood…letʼs not waste any more time and start cultivating.ʼ

Even though it was only 1000 units of the Divine Essence of Nature, Ajax was satisfied with the body tempering and thought he should not waste any time.

ʼDivine Dark Rule, activate.ʼ

Soon, Ajax sat cross-legged as he activated the Divine Dark Rule and in the next second, his entire body was surrounded with Dark Energy as black mist emitted from his body.

[Dragon Soaring Nine Heavens]

With his current awakening percentage of the Divine Dark Rule, Ajax could activate the Divine Dark Rule for 20 minutes without suffering any side effects.

Therefore, he didnʼt waste any time and circulated his cultivation technique.

ʼSwooshʼ

In the next second, the Dark Energy within a 100 kilometers radius rushed into Ajax.

Ajax looked like a hungry beast that hadnʼt eaten anything for centuries and was having a feast in a single go.

Time continued to pass and in a flash three minutes passed by since he activated his Divine Dark Rule as he finally received the first system notification, which made Ajax reveal an excited smile.
