New Age Of Summoners

449 Demon apostle with short horns

Looking at the red-coloured paper crane in his hands, the guild masterʼs expression became serious and he muttered the name.

He paused for a few moments as he tried to think what kind of danger Edmond was in.

ʼI think, it is about the demon invasion,ʼ

It didnʼt take much time for him to guess the danger as he thought about it inside his head.

”Guild master, is it from Edmond?”

Rulf already knew about red-coloured paper cranes and since the guild master had muttered Edmondʼs name, he guessed that the paper was from Edmond which made the guild master come out of his thoughts.

”Yes. Are they all left?”

Nodding his head, the guild master asked Rulf about the demon killerʼs squad members.

”Yes sir. They have left,” Rulf hurriedly answered before asking, ”Arenʼt we going to help Edmond now?”

Rulf knew how much his guild master valued Edmond. Among the three top mercenary squads Captains, Edmond could be considered as the most favourite to the guild master.

So, he asked the guild master about his next actions.

”Of course, we have to save. Since he had used the red-coloured paper crane, it is mostly related to humanʼs safety,” the Guild masterʼs reply didnʼt give any surprise to Rulf as he nodded his head before rushing with the guild master behind the red-coloured paper crane.

ʼSwooshʼ

ʼSwooshʼ

Both of them, with their full speed, rushed towards Edmondʼs location which he stored into the red-coloured paper crane.

”By the way, guild master, why didnʼt you attack the demon general, who fought with the demon killer earlier and let him escape,” As they were running, Rulf asked the guild master about a question that was constantly lingering in his head.

”Did you forget my fight with the demon king from a decade ago?” The Guild master asked Rulf with an irritated expression.

”Yes, I remember it and after that, you went into the seclusion to recuperate your injuries from the fight and only came out of that seclusion a month ago,” Rulf replied as he agreed with the guild masterʼs question.

”I still canʼt use my full strength yet. If I use it, all my previous injuries with become even more severe. I need a few more months or a couple of years to recover back to my full strength,” the old guild master said with a heavy expression on his face.

”...”

When Rulf heard those words, he didnʼt know what to say and thought back to the time how mighty and powerful his master was 10 years ago.

ʼSigh...I hope nothing happens until he recovers his full strength,ʼ Rulf sighed and hoped that nothing severe should happen before he reached his peak strength.

”Donʼt think much about those things. Stay alert, there might be some powerful demon generals lurking here and there,” Thr guild master shook his head and asked Rulf to keep an eye on the surroundings.

Somewhere in the cursed wilderness,

”Everyone letʼs go,”

A lady in her early 30s ordered some people who had various scars and marks from their old injuries.

”To where Captain?”

As soon as they heard the words of that lady, three women and two men hurriedly gathered around her and respectfully asked.

”To help someone. Now letʼs move,”

After saying those words, the lady rushed towards a specific direction. In front of her, there was a blue coloured paper crane that was flying at an average speed.

The lady was none other than the captain of the Blood rose mercenary squadʼs captain ʼBlood roseʼ.

As for the others, they were her squad members.

Along the way, they didnʼt even ask a single question to her and followed her with a serious expression on their faces.

They had never seen her captain this serious before. So, they assumed that the person, whom she wanted to help must be very close to her.

.....

Inside the demon world,

”This time we are sending 10000 demon servants along with 10 royal demon generals through the portal. So, we need to at least destroy the mercenary guild and other towns and cities around it” A pitch-black coloured demon with two very small horns on his head and with 2.5 meters height ordered a demon beside him who looked very old.

”Donʼt worry, Demon apostle, we are very sure that the legendary mercenary king is still not healed from the battle with our seventh demon king. So we have a 90 percent chance in destroying the mercenary guild,ʼ the older demon said in a very respectful tone which also contained some fear in it.

The reason for that was the demon in front of him was none other than one of the demon apostles under the leader of the Demon Kings.

There were a total of seven demon kings in the demon world who governed the seven different regions in the demon world. Among them, there was one demon king who was most powerful and ruled the largest region in the demon world.

He battled with the six other demon kings and made himself their leader and all of them would listen to his orders without any hesitation.

”Good. I wonʼt enter the human world as there would not be any strongest cultivator in the mercenary guild as the guild master is old and injured, you can take care of him by yourself, right?” The demon apostle with small horns that were giving a dense demonic aura from them said to the old demon general beside him.

”You can rest in my castle, 12th demon apostle. As for the mercenary guild I can take care of it myself,” the old demon promised the demon apostle and asked him to rest.

There were 12 demon apostles under the leader of the demon kings (or first demon king). All of them were nearly as powerful as the other demon kings. So, the old demon general feared him because even if he did a slight mistake and angered the demon apostle, no one could save him.

”If you canʼt accomplish the mission, then you know what will happen, right?” The demon apostle nodded his head and moved towards a huge castle in a distance; however, after taking a few steps, he turned back and warned the old demon general to not to fail the mission.

”Yes, sir,”

Wiping the sweat from his forehead, the demon general hurriedly replied with an attentive look on his face.

Soon the demon apostle disappeared from his place and appeared in front of a huge castle which was a few kilometers away from the huge demon army.

”General, are there any changes in the plan? Or we are proceeding to send the demon servant in batches?” As soon as the demon apostle went into the castle, a demon with a full muscular body came near the old demon general and asked about the plan.

”Hehe...Letʼs not follow the regular pattern this time. Letʼs surprise the human with 2 demon generals in the first batch along with 2000 demon servants,” the old demon general didnʼt want to take any chance and fail this mission, so he decided to send the double army in the first batch that was going out of the portal.
