My Talent's Name Is Generator

Chapter 436: A New Upgrade On Horizon

I did think about forcing the green threads to work together, just like I had done before with my skill [Fractured Unity].

That reckless move had once combined the green natural Essence with my own violet Essence, creating a volatile brown energy that carried nothing but destruction.

The two forces were never meant to coexist, and yet under my will they clashed, tore, and twisted into something violently unstable.

If I tried to apply that same principle to the threads now, using them for the restructuring of my body, I knew I might not ascend, I might simply annihilate myself.

But if I succeeded then my body will become a destructive force.

But even as the thought formed, my instincts screamed at me not to go down that path. It wasn’t a faint whisper either, it was sharp, urgent, like something deep inside me knew the consequences would be disastrous.

I didn’t know why that feeling resisted me so strongly, but in the end, I trusted it.

So, I chose differently.

The moment my decision settled, I acted. My body was locked and heavy, as if chained, but there was still one thing I could control, stopping those green threads before they reached me.

’[Absolute Domain].’

A deep violet ripple burst out from my body, spreading in all directions as my domain came alive.

’[Right to Isolate].’

Inside the domain, the runes etched into the air flared to life, each one vibrating as I gave the command to separate myself from the invasive green threads rushing toward me.

Essence from my core surged outward, violet and heavy, and it formed into tendrils that struck directly at the green threads.

The first clash happened at the very edge of my body. The violet tendrils stopped the green threads cold, locking them out like guards at a gate.

But that wasn’t all. Slowly, the violet threads began to devour them—pulling the green strands apart, unraveling them into nothingness, and swallowing their essence whole.

I could feel it working. One by one, the green threads inside me were being pushed back, suffocated, and consumed. The process wasn’t gentle. Every thread that disappeared left a faint burn inside me, but the relief of being freed from their grip outweighed the pain. Soon, my body was clear. Clean.

Then, something unexpected happened.

The violet threads holding the runes didn’t just stop after consuming the green. They began to change. Runes lit up brighter, burning with intricate patterns, and then they pressed themselves against my blood. I felt them carving into me by embedding themselves as if claiming ownership of my blood.

One by one, the violet threads fused with me, etching runes into my bloodstream. They pulsed with power, moving alongside my heartbeats, until it felt like every drop of blood carried their command.

And the core at my center, the generator of this domain, didn’t stop either.

More violet threads poured out of it like a flood. Each new tendril carried runes that sought my blood, binding themselves deeper with every connection.

The process dragged on for what felt like forever. An entire hour passed before the storm of energy raging outside my body finally began to quiet.

The cocoon of natural essence that had wrapped itself around me slowly unraveled, dissolving into nothing as the last of the green threads were exhausted.

But the violet threads I had chosen did not stop. They pressed deeper into me, weaving themselves into my blood. That stage alone consumed another half hour, and when it finally ended, the threads shifted again.

They flowed with purpose, moving toward my bones, my organs, everywhere, even my brain.

The invasion was relentless. For two long hours my body endured as the violet essence carved its mark into me.

My core never ceased its work, pulling in energy from every corner it could reach, endlessly producing more essence to feed the process.

By the time it all began to settle, I was trembling. A violent shudder tore through me. I could feel it, the sheer amount of essence I had generated had already surpassed the requirement for my next talent upgrade.

I exhaled a heavy breath as I was finally able to move my body. But the next notification came instantly, not even allowing me to stretch a little.

[Talent Upgrade Detected]

[Initiating Talent Upgrade...]

”Ohh come on.”

I didn’t even know what kind of upgrade my body had gone through before this came into the picture.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from my talent’s evolution either.

My first Generator talent had allowed me to create Essence by absorbing external energies.

Then it advanced into Generator Nexus, absorbing my generated Essence to produce soul shackles, letting me bind corrupted souls and turn them into my summons.

Still, I had my assumptions. The obvious ones were that existing abilities would get stronger, maybe even the Essence storage would expand. But the real question, the one that mattered most, was which new function I was about to unlock.

Since the basic functionality of the talent was to generate.
