Villain: Let Go of the Girl of Luck, Let Me Take Over!!

37: The Blood Girl’s Identity, Past Events of the Kingdom of GodAs the Heavenly Fox Eyes were activated, Blood Maiden’s memories began to appear in Mu Wuchen’s mind.

...

This was an ancient kingdom called the Divine Kingdom. One day, the cry of a baby echoed through the Divine Kingdom palace.

”Hahaha, I have a daughter! I have a daughter!”

A boisterous voice rang out as a tall figure tightly embraced the infant girl in his arms, his eyes filled with joy.

The man, Huien, was the King of the Divine Kingdom and also the strongest person within it. In an age of great strife where foreign races ran rampant and humanity was weak, he was the one who led humanity to carve out a place for themselves.

However, just as the infant girl was born, a strange phenomenon descended from the heavens. The entire Divine Kingdom was shrouded in dark clouds, and a massive blood-red full moon hung high in the sky, plunging all of humanity in the Divine Kingdom into immense panic.

The Blood Moon in the sky was a symbol of ill omen, disaster, and bloodshed.

The man frowned deeply and looked at a black-robed figure beside him.

”Grand Tutor, what is going on?”

The black-robed figure was precisely the Divine Kingdom’s Grand Tutor, the person with the most power in the Divine Kingdom apart from the King.

Upon hearing Huien’s question, the black-robed figure seemed to hesitate and did not speak.

”Speak. Whether it’s a blessing or a curse, I, your Emperor, will bear it.”

Having received the King’s assurance, the black-robed figure finally spoke with hesitation.

”Your Majesty, the Blood Moon’s descent is an ominous sign. I fear a great disaster is coming.”

The black-robed figure did not state it explicitly, but the implication was clear: the Blood Moon would not descend for no reason. With Huien’s daughter being born at the same time the Blood Moon appeared, it was highly probable that this infant would bring about the Divine Kingdom’s demise in the future.

Upon hearing the Grand Tutor’s words, the tall figure actually burst into laughter.

”Hahahahaha, tales of ghosts and gods are the least trustworthy. How could my daughter, Huien’s daughter, be an ominous sign?”

With that, he hugged the infant girl tightly and left alone.

On this day, people saw a Golden Crow appear in the sky above the Divine Kingdom. It swallowed the Blood Moon that shrouded the Divine Kingdom’s sky in one gulp, bringing light back to the Divine Kingdom. The people within the Divine Kingdom all believed that a celestial god had descended and knelt in submission...

Upon the massive dragon throne.

At night, Huien gently swayed the infant in his arms, his eyes filled with doting affection. However, at this moment, black blood slowly flowed from the corner of his mouth.

Huien casually wiped away the black blood oozing from his lips, as if nothing had happened. A complex expression appeared in his eyes, as if he was talking to himself, and yet also speaking to the infant in his arms.

”It’s truly a pity. That Blood Moon contained the curse of an ancient Witch God. Swallowing it ruined my hope of taking that final step, and the great task of restoring humanity and completely eradicating evil, I can no longer complete with my own hands...”

”Little one, you were born with the Blood Moon. From now on, I’ll call you ’Huiye,’ meaning ’firefly.’ A single spark can ignite a prairie fire.”

”If a great calamity truly befalls the Divine Kingdom in the future, you will be the Divine Kingdom’s hope...”

...

Sunrises and sunsets, sixteen years passed in a flash.

The infant from back then had grown into a graceful young woman.

The young woman’s skin was as white as congealed jade, her figure tall and slender, and her dark hair fell loosely, like an ethereal immortal. Especially her bright and spirited eyes, which exuded both noble and gentle light, were captivating at first glance.

Because of the Blood Moon’s prophecy at the time, Princess Huiye had been well-protected for these sixteen years. For sixteen years, she immersed herself in studying and cultivating, carefree and never leaving the imperial palace.

Having inherited her father’s talent, although she was only 16 years old, her cultivation was already impressive. However, as she grew older, Princess Huiye also developed her own worries.

Huiye discovered that her father’s illness had worsened.

She had heard her father coughing desperately, clutching his chest in the middle of the night, more than once. Whenever she asked, her father always said it was a lingering aftereffect from a great battle with a powerful foreign race, but Princess Huiye vaguely felt that her father was hiding something from her.

On one accidental occasion, Huiye secretly overheard from the Grand Tutor and others’ conversation that in a deep mountain on the Divine Kingdom’s border, there was a reclusive powerful expert who could cure her father’s illness, but everyone who had gone to seek medicine had failed...

Upon receiving the news, Princess Huiye was overjoyed. She wanted to go personally to seek the medicine. Even if there was only a sliver of hope to cure her father, she had to try!

During a Divine Kingdom sacrificial ceremony, Huien and others went out to participate in the ritual. Princess Huiye secretly snuck out of the imperial palace and headed towards the deep mountain the Grand Tutor had mentioned.

On this day, the imperial palace, which should have been guarded by several powerful experts, coincidentally had no one guarding it when she ran out...

Finally, Princess Huiye arrived at the deep mountain on the Divine Kingdom’s border. However, there was no reclusive master there, only a net of traps that the foreign races had already laid out.

Princess Huiye was captured. Numerous foreign race experts used her to threaten Huien, the Lord of the Divine Kingdom, demanding that he come alone, otherwise his daughter would suffer the most cruel tortures in the human world.

Huien was enraged. After entrusting the Divine Kingdom’s protective array and state affairs to the Grand Tutor, he went alone into this blatant open conspiracy—a certain death trap with no chance of survival.

On that day, the Divine Kingdom’s Queen, Princess Huiye’s mother, cried until she was blind.

However, when Huien arrived at the destination as agreed, he discovered that these foreign races had broken their promise. The foreign race leader had long hated Huien to the core and unleashed all his fury upon his daughter!

They shattered her bones, destroyed her peerless beauty with sharp knives, and confined her freedom with iron chains...

When Huien arrived, Huiye was already on her last breath. This former little princess could no longer let out her silver-bell-like laughter, no longer hear her father’s doting words, and no longer smell the fragrance in the Divine Kingdom’s garden...

At this moment, only her heart was still beating, and her bright eyes could still see her father.

And these eyes were deliberately left by the foreign races, precisely so that she could personally witness her father’s death and the Divine Kingdom’s destruction!

Like a blank sheet of paper, she experienced the greatest evil in this world.

To completely deal with Huien, the foreign races gathered four kingdom lords of the same realm as Huien and dozens of experts. But under immense grief and indignation, Huien erupted with power beyond his limits. He fought one against four, killed one person, severely wounded three, and used his last breath to bring his daughter back to the Divine Kingdom...

However, after returning to the Divine Kingdom, Huien, who had only his last breath left, never expected that the Grand Tutor who had assisted him for tens of thousands of years was actually an internal spy!

After he left, the Grand Tutor opened the Divine Kingdom’s great array, letting wolves into the house.

When Huien returned, the Divine Kingdom was already littered with corpses and devastated, with millions of resisting beings brutally slaughtered.

Humanity would be enslaved forever!

Blood, slaughter, resentment, fear—scene after scene of misery reflected in Princess Huiye’s eyes.

The Lord of a generation of the Divine Kingdom reached his wit’s end. The curse power within him, the Blood Moon that had lain dormant for many years, could no longer be suppressed, and he finally fell...
