Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1778: Chapter 596: Battle Merit Store, Generous Rewards

On the other side, a group of mercenaries dressed in leather armor also sprang into action.

”Brothers of the Cold Branch Mercenary Group, hurry up and grab more supplies.”

”Things are about to get chaotic here; let’s prepare and move to live in other cities.”

Other civilians, upon witnessing this scene, also realized something was amiss.

Now that Velen Main City has been destroyed, all nobles and soldiers sacrificed and beheaded, the entire city has descended into a state of disorder.

The towering blood pillars from the kingdom’s vicinity foretell that an even greater disaster is about to befall.

They need more supplies to face the impending crisis.

”Quick! Go loot those stores for food!”

”Damn it! Get out of my way!”

”This is mine, get lost!”

A large number of civilians rushed into shops and debris to loot!

The shopkeepers and some merchants desperately tried to stop them, shouting hoarsely!

”Stop it, you madmen!”

”You despicable thieves, the Goddess will punish you!”

”Give me my food back.”

But evidently, their attempts to stop the looting were in vain.

Because the looting was so intense, many civilians even ended up wrestling each other.

Some even picked up broken blades from the ground, stabbing other civilians, causing numerous bleeding incidents.

The entire city quickly evolved into a scene of chaos!

The once-prosperous Velen Main City now only had ruins and frenzied plundering left.

The greed and fear of humanity were magnified infinitely at this moment, with the price of order’s collapse playing out in every corner of the city.

...

...

Half an hour later.

The Spiritual Eagle King already led them across the Viren Kingdom’s border, returning to the Ice Crystal Kingdom’s territory.

On the road, Cao Xing also started checking the series of system prompts.

...

Moments later, he put down his gaze, a look of reflection appearing in his eyes.

”The content of this update is quite extensive.”

”Moreover, they’ve added a Battle Merit Store; what can be exchanged there?”

Cao Xing didn’t immediately click to check.

Because he noticed, besides the prompts meant for all survivors on the server, he received two exclusive system prompts.

[Attention Survivor Cao Xing! Because you have slain a large number of Watcher members and prematurely activated the teleportation array, altering the world’s situation, you have gained Reputation Value: 50,000]

[Your accumulated Reputation Value has surpassed two hundred thousand, reaching a new stage: Renowned Far and Wide!]

[You’ve activated the Blood Portal, completing the launch of the new expansion, gaining War Merit: 5,000,000...]

...

”Huh? Is there a reward for activating the teleportation gate early?”

The battle just now was so fierce that Cao Xing was ready to go all out, so he didn’t notice this prompt at the time.

This was quite an unexpected surprise.

”Not bad, not bad, counting my recent slaying of that Bloody Army Legend, and the first kill reward, I have over eleven million War Merits now.”

”I wonder, with so much War Merit, what can be exchanged!”

With anticipation, Cao Xing quickly clicked open the Battle Merit Store.

Four major categories appeared before him.

They were: [Equipment], [Recruitment Scroll], [Blueprint], [Item].

”So many categories, it seems that the Battle Merit Store offers a wide range of items for exchange!”

Cao Xing intended to give them a quick glance.

Firstly, he scanned the [Equipment] section.

Upon opening it, a large number of exchange information immediately appeared.

[Blood Coagulation Thorns Five-piece Set, Armor, Helmet, Arm Guard, Lower Body, Boots (Green)]: Exchanging a single piece requires 500 War Merits, exchanging the full set requires 2000 War Merits (unlimited supply)

[Red Blood Tusk Four-piece Set, Armor, Arm Guard, Lower Body, Boots (Blue)]: Exchanging a single piece requires 3000 War Merits, exchanging the full set requires 10000 War Merits (unlimited supply)

[Blood Flame Falcon Four-piece Set (Purple)]: Exchanging a single piece requires 20000 War Merits, exchanging the full set requires 70000 War Merits (limited exchange of 5000 sets)

[Blood Rock Barrier Five-piece Set (Gold)]: Exchanging a single piece requires 100,000 War Merits, exchanging the full set requires 450,000 War Merits (limited exchange of 100 sets)

[Molten Blood Titan Five-piece Set (Orange)]: Exchanging a single piece requires 500,000 War Merits, exchanging the full set requires 2,200,000 War Merits (limited exchange of 10 sets)

[Doomsday Blood Scythe...]

...

”Whoa! So many pieces of equipment to exchange?” Cao Xing was momentarily stunned!

The offerings were simply too plentiful, ranging from sets to scattered pieces, with qualities from green to orange.

Moreover, each quality was further divided into light armor, leather armor, heavy armor, and plate armor, meaning a wide variety of choices.

Such diversity naturally led to numerous different combinations.

Besides protective gear, there were over a hundred weapons!

Scythes, chains, square hammers, even crosses, basically every type of weapon was available.

Cao Xing glanced at the attributes, and all these pieces of equipment related to the Bloody Army.

For instance, wearing a full set of gear would reduce damage taken from the Bloody Army and suppress curse effects.

The weapon could inflict additional damage on the Bloody Army.

The enhancement ranged roughly between 5%~40%.

Of course, even excluding the traits, the basic attributes of these pieces of equipment were quite impressive!

Cao Xing nodded silently, ”Alright, but they aren’t really useful for me.”

His territory had over a hundred blacksmiths, working tirelessly every day to craft more equipment for him.

At the same quality level, the gear crafted by his blacksmiths had better attributes than those in the exchange store.

No need to spend [War Merits] on exchanging these items.

Next, Cao Xing opened the [Recruitment Scroll] section.

This time, only three exchange options appeared inside.
