Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1326: Chapter 454: A New Stage, Monster Attack Event (5200)

Seeing the system prompt.

The chat channel burst into a flurry of excitement!

”So the few months we’ve been in this world have just been an adaptation period?”

”Now that we’re entering the development phase, does that mean we won’t have to worry about threats to our territory from monsters or the Ice Nest like before?”

”Don’t get too comfortable, haven’t you heard the system prompt? It’s just a brief respite... It won’t be long before a new expansion comes out, and the system mentioned the difficulty is high, so a lot of people might die...”

”Yeah... even in the development phase, it’s not as peaceful as you’d think. The frequency of various heavenly calamities will increase, so it’s uncertain if we can even withstand them.”

In the chat channel, many people felt very pessimistic about the future.

In this world, they lived with constant tension every day.

The survivors not only had to fight extreme cold but also find ways to deal with various calamities and monsters.

They could almost say they haven’t lived a single good day.

Many people weren’t sure if they’d make it to the next day.

At this moment, someone else said: ”Alright brothers, stop sighing!”

”At least we’ve managed to survive in this world until now, right?”

”We are all elites who survived after the elimination of billions!”

”As hard as it gets, nothing can be as tough as when we initially arrived in this world.”

Upon hearing this, the chat channel was filled with laughter again.

”Yeah, on the first day we arrived in this world, we almost froze to death, so being alive to this day is already a profit.”

”I just started living a happy lord’s life, being served by a few maidens, and I don’t want to die so soon!”

”Brothers, let’s work hard to live well, and one day in the future, we will build a city for our Blue Star humans!”

The last sentence filled everyone with a sense of anticipation.

...

At this moment, after reading the system prompt, Cao Xing appeared contemplative.

”From the adaptation period, now moving to a new stage.”

”Next, survivors need to actively explore this world, contact the natives, and even integrate into their system.”

As for the last system prompt, other survivors were clueless about what was happening.

However, Cao Xing seemed thoughtful.

”New enemies... does it refer to the Bloody Army?”

”So it seems the new expansion should also be related to the Bloody Army.”

”And even the system warns of extreme survival difficulty, which suggests the Bloody Army’s strength is really beyond imagination!”

However, Cao Xing wasn’t that worried, after all, this trip to the Battle of the Oracle had given him a terrifying power boost!

Even if the Bloody Army attacks, he’s gained some ability to protect himself.

Moreover, his territory will soon experience rapid expansion.

Before the Bloody Army appears, he’ll gain even greater strength.

Just as Cao Xing was pondering these things, the system prompt reappeared.

[Attention all survivors, during the development phase, two small activities will be introduced: ’Enhanced Ice Nest’ and ’Monster Attack’.]

[Enhanced Ice Nest (activity): The power of the giant dragon has resumed normalcy, and Ice Nests will appear sporadically within each region, with the Ice Nest monsters’ levels greatly increased. Do not provoke unless sufficiently powerful.]

[Killing monsters in the Ice Nest will grant a large amount of experience and have a small chance to drop ’Dragon Blood Warrior Recruitment Scroll’, ’Rare Materials’, and other rewards.]

[For each Enhanced Ice Nest destroyed, you will gain 10 Golden Points.]

...

[Monster Attack (activity): During the development phase, a monster attack will occur every seven days.]

[Each monster attack consists of 10 waves, with increasing difficulty and more monsters in each wave. Survivors Lord can choose whether to continue the challenge for the next wave.]

[A monster attack leaderboard will be released.]

[Ranking will be based on the number of waves successfully challenged and challenge duration, with generous ranking rewards for the top thousand Lords in each region.]

...

...

Upon seeing these recent prompts, Cao Xing paused for a moment.

”Two more new activities, are there?”

”Sounding pretty good, aren’t they?”

He analyzed it in his mind.

”The first activity is simple, just deal with those enhanced Ice Nest monsters, with many monsters appearing in them, giving lots of experience in return.”

”This is for providing a fast way for Survivor Lords to level up.”

”And the second Monster Attack activity is essentially a test of a territory’s overall strength.”

”These two activities show that, even in the development period, the system has completely filled the Lords’ schedules.”

Cao Xing smiled.

Originally thinking that after the Battle of the Oracle, he could relax for a while.

Looks like there’s going to be a lot to do next.

”And furthermore, I have many things to do next...”

”First, I need to head to the Griffin Nest to tame a griffin, completing the tasks entrusted by Earl Winston and the Master Level Beast Tamer.”

”Then wait for Franciska to refine enough Holy Water, go deal with that Ancient Battlefield, subdue all Undead, and look for the Legendary Shield inside.”

”Then visit Eternal Frost Main City to exchange for Honor Points as a reward and probe the legacy of that Legendary Mage...”

”Besides that, there’s the ruins City Lord Oran mentioned before, to see if I can participate in some Champion Trial.”
