Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1024: Chapter 372: First Collaboration with the Star Moon Legion, the Beginning of Transformation!

One kilometer.

It is the safety distance determined by survivors through multiple tests.

As long as you enter this range, you will attract the Ice Nest Army’s aggression, causing them to attack you.

As long as you can escape this distance, the Ice Nest Monsters will give up the chase and return to their original position.

In response to this situation, many survivors have discovered guerrilla tactics, where they strike once, then quickly retreat to wait for skill cooldown.

This group of survivors seems to be employing this tactic, having successfully retreated multiple times under the Ice Nest Army’s attacks.

Cao Xing contemplated: ”Following this method, as long as the number of combat personnel is sufficient and they all obey commands, perhaps we could achieve significant results with minimal casualties.”

”Of course, this requires consuming more time, and the coordination of team members and the command ability of the squad leader is a big issue.”

”However, any team that can persist will undergo an unprecedented transformation.”

A spark of insight flashed in Cao Xing’s mind, and he seemed to understand why the Lord System arranged this Ice Dragon challenge!

It was to train the command abilities of the commanders of various teams, and the cohesiveness of their members.

Under such pressure, all the commanders face enormous stress and need to constantly improve their team command skills.

They must make accurate decisions on the rapidly changing battlefield, reasonably allocate combat personnel, coordinate various aspects, and ensure the team’s efficient operation.

Meanwhile, the members also need to continuously synergize in battle, learn to cooperate, follow orders, and realize their full potential.

Though this process will be difficult, any team that gets through it will transform fundamentally.

”Interesting... It seems like the special scenario in 10 days requires strong team coordination skills—are we laying the groundwork in advance?”

Realizing this, a smile appeared on Cao Xing’s lips.

He also looked forward to the new scenario challenge in 10 days!

He originally intended to leave here directly.

And right at that moment, he inadvertently spotted a familiar face among the survivors below.

Ji Xinyue.

She was leading her members to regroup and rest.

Moreover, the location of Zhuoma’s Claw was not publicly disclosed on the map.

It seemed she intended to claim the entire Ice Nest Army for herself.

However, her ambition was there, but her strength was lacking.

After a long, fierce battle, the legion led by Ji Xinyue suffered the deaths and injuries of over a hundred combat subjects and only managed to eliminate over two thousand Ice Nest Monsters.

They withdrew from battle several times, waiting for skill cooldowns.

They could rely on command and the cooperation among various soldier types to challenge Fourth Rank bosses, even leaders.

But that Zhuoma’s Claw was just too monstrous!

For their small group, it was simply a nightmare.

Ji Xinyue’s method was to have members with control skills take turns controlling Zhuoma’s Claw.

Then she would lead the other combat personnel in a charge.

When Zhuoma’s Claw was about to break free, they would quickly retreat.

However, after a whole day, the efficiency was quite low!

Ji Xinyue’s points had only just broken through two thousand points.

It could be said that what they lost in lives outweighed what they earned.

(PS: In the same legion, Survivor Lords who have not abandoned their territory will not have the points from killing Ice Nest Monsters monopolized by the Legion Commander. For those like Tong Chuchu who have abandoned their territory, the points from killing the monsters will count fully towards the Lord.)

”Squad Leader, why don’t we disclose the location?”

”The Ice Nest Army is too monstrous; with our strength, there’s no way we can swallow this behemoth.”

However, Ji Xinyue’s eyes carried an unconceding look.

She clenched her fist and stated solemnly: ”No, we still have the strength!”

”Haven’t you noticed? In about three hours of battle, we organized eight attacks in total.”

”From the first battle losing over fifty people, each subsequent battle saw fewer casualties and more monsters killed.”

”Our combat awareness, and my ability to respond, have all improved significantly.”

”Just a few more tries, and I feel everyone will be able to retreat from the Ice Nest Monster’s attacks without any losses.”

Upon hearing this, the survivors also seemed to realize this.

A young woman nearby said: ”Though that’s true... everyone’s stamina is nearing its limit.”

”And we’ve consumed almost all the potions and supplies in our backpacks.”

Ji Xinyue glanced at her backpack, then sighed: ”Once we’re back, let’s consolidate everyone’s points.”

”I heard that in the points store, the advanced soldier type, the Tribal Witch Doctor has decent healing ability.”

”And a low-level soldier type, the Silver Hand recruit also has healing skills.”

”Once we go back, I’ll exchange for a Tribal Witch Doctor recruitment scroll, and you all can get some Silver Hand recruit scrolls to form a healing squad, which will save a lot of resources.”

Everyone listened and nodded seriously in agreement.

Just as Ji Xinyue was about to share the location of the Ice Nest Army, she suddenly received a call request.

Seeing the applicant’s name, her mouth slightly opened in astonishment, as if seeing something unbelievable.

With a look of surprise and uncertainty, she answered the call.

”I see your team.”

”Are you interested in teaming up to deal with this Ice Nest Army?”

Cao Xing remained straightforward and direct.

Hearing this, Ji Xinyue’s eyes lit up immediately.
