Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 694: Chapter 279: District 17 Dominates the Leaderboard, Points Leaderboard Ends! (6000)_2

Although he had his four kinds of legions alternate in battle, it had still consumed a lot of their energy over the entire day.

Cao Xing smiled and asked, “How is it, can you still hold on?”

The group of warriors immediately straightened their expressions and replied, “No problem, Lord!”

“The Wild Boar Warriors are the strongest!”

“The Centaurs too!”

Cao Xing smiled, “Very good, you are all the bravest warriors.”

“Just hold on for one more day, and this scale of battle will be over tomorrow.”

Hearing these words, smiles appeared on the faces of the warriors.

After letting them return to rest,

Cao Xing also took Liu Muxue back to his Lord Mansion.

Having cast spells all day, both of them were somewhat fatigued in spirit.

After returning to the Lord’s Hut, they embraced each other and fell into a deep sleep.

After nightfall, the cold wind howled.

It had been rare for the past few days not to have freezing rain or snow since that storm.

The survivors also gradually fell into their dreams.

But in the extremely distant Eternal Frozen Sea, a different kind of change was occurring.

…

…

The Eternal Frozen Sea, as a mysterious sea in this world, was vast and boundless.

So far, no one had explored to the end of the Eternal Frozen Sea.

It was covered with thick ice all year round.

Legend had it that underneath these ice layers, countless treasures and powerful beings that had disappeared for millennia were sealed.

In a certain unknown corner,

in the depths of the endless ice layers, a gigantic silhouette lay quietly asleep.

Its body seemed to be made of clear and hard crystal, with a pair of enormous dragon wings stretching out over tens of thousands of miles.

From head to toe, every scale shimmered with a dangerous cold light.

Its head was held high, mouth slightly open, revealing sharp and hard fangs, with two horns protruding from behind its eyes.

It seemed to have been asleep for a very long time.

But on this day, this giant dragon suddenly opened its eyes.

From those eyes emanated a terrifying aura of killing intent, destruction, and death…

The endless ice surface of the Eternal Frozen Sea suddenly split open along a chasm that stretched for tens of thousands of miles and was unfathomably deep…

…

…

The next day…

As everyone awoke,

a different kind of system prompt appeared.

[All survivors, please note, you have passed the 16th day of the formal period, today is the last day of the Points Leaderboard, ranking rewards will be settled at midnight 00:00…]

[Due to an unknown change in the Eternal Frozen Sea, the power of the giant dragon will pause from arriving from tonight at 00:00, the next seven days will be Construction Week, and the construction speed of all territory buildings will increase by 20%, as will the basic resource gathering speed.]

[Please make reasonable use of the development time during Construction Week to improve your territory’s strength as much as possible. After seven days, the power of the giant dragon will arrive in a new form, bringing you a more challenging trial, and the system will undergo a third version update…]

[Weather forecast: Today, light breeze, temperature ranging from -58°C to -69°C…]

A string of system prompts left the survivors stunned for a moment, then they all burst into jubilant celebration!

Even the World Channel was filled with cheers.

Deng Liu: “Great, the power of the giant dragon has finally stopped. This time there’s a full week of development, I must erect the city walls!”

Yasui Meiyo: “Oh my god… we finally made it through, and I get a few more days of life. I’ve decided to abandon my territory and integrate into the lives of the natives during this chance…”

Bell Grylls: “God bless, I’ve been hiding in a small village these days to avoid the threat of the Ice Nest. Now, I can also restart my exploration journey. Friends, I will be posting a thread on the forums, uploading my survival records regularly, and I hope you all will watch.”

Smirnov: “A few days ago, I discovered a bear den in a forest, but I never had the time to explore it. Now I finally have the chance.”

…

Faced with Construction Week, everyone made different choices, with some seizing the time to develop their territories and others choosing to abandon their territories outright.

Some even chose to join the legions of other survivors.

It was truly a myriad of life’s different states.

Even Cao Xing and Liu Muxue were deep in thought as they looked at the system prompt before them.

“So it’s Construction Week?”

“This is good for us, as the population of the territory has already surpassed six hundred and needs expansion.”

“After all, with so many people living in a one-kilometer diameter area, it is starting to feel a bit cramped.”

However, before that, Cao Xing needed to wait for that [Strange Red Magic Bean] to grow.

With the help of this magic bean, he could easily change the layout of his territory.

Thinking of this, Cao Xing felt a hint of anticipation.

“Come on, Muxue, it’s the last day, let’s gather more Ice Dragon Marks, and refresh the soldiers’ status while we’re at it.”

“Okay!”

The two quickly washed up and stepped out of the Lord’s Hut.

“Whoosh—”

As soon as they stepped outside the door, the chill greeted them once again.

Without any orders from Cao Xing, the subjects continued their work as usual.

The Polar People and staff were building more residential houses.

Dazhuang had led the goblin labor early in the morning to dig at a mine three or four kilometers away from the territory.

Meanwhile, the combat personnel were waiting outside the territory.

Cao Xing had said that today they would continue to battle a large number of Ice Nest Monsters.

So they were already prepared.

Seeing Cao Xing approach, everyone greeted him.

“Good morning, Lord!”

“Lord, please summon those Ice Nest Monsters again, the Wild Boar Warriors are eager and ready for combat!”
