Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 558 - 243: Black Smoke Shaman Advanced, Summoning Black Mist Lord (5000)_3

…

“Turns out it’s for my use!”

Cao Xing nodded with satisfaction, “Not bad, even though it’s weaker than Vivian’s Resentful Spirit Shield, it is still a golden skill book, which can greatly enhance my survival capability.”

“However, using this shield to offset damage consumes spiritual power, and if there are too many attacks at once, it might drain my spiritual power dry!”

Nonetheless, the skill book was still quite good.

Without hesitation, he clapped his hands and learned it.

[Successfully learned skill: Magic Shield…]

Then, onto the next item.

That epic-level item.

[Vivian’s Hairpin (Orange): Special Item]

[Quality: Epic]

[Item Effect: Contains a special power, capable of piercing barriers or shields of the sixth tier and below.]

…

“Wow, it can actually pierce sixth-tier barriers and shields!”

Cao Xing was instantly surprised and looked at the hairpin like he had found a treasure, filled with joy!

It appeared to be made of jade, very smooth overall, and quite beautiful in appearance.

Obviously, if used well, it could play a significant role.

Cao Xing could even hide it on an arrow and shoot it out instantly.

“Indeed, something of orange quality!”

Besides, the Long-haired Princess also contributed a Mutated Leader Soul and a Heart of Power to him.

In his backpack, there were also two Expert Level Power Hearts.

With this, at least two people breaking through to the fifth rank were settled.

Next was the phase of distributing the loot.

Cao Xing took out the [Mutated Leader Level Soul] and looked at everyone present.

Although they gained a lot this time.

They also acquired a large number of leader souls.

However, this item was still scarce.

On the field, Blot Sulfur Stone, Wally Bell, Eliza, Rab, and the two Dragon Blood Warriors were still at the boss level.

Their potential was pretty good, and once they broke through to the leader level, they might undergo a more powerful transformation.

So, deciding who to give this soul to was a dilemma for Cao Xing.

After pondering for a while.

Finally, he decided to give the soul to Blot based on the order of joining.

After all, Blot was a veteran member who joined the territory shortly after Renice.

Moreover, he had also successfully broken through to the fourth rank.

If he could successfully transform into a leader, it would likely be a significant enhancement.

Thus, Cao Xing called over the tall Char Tribe Shaman.

“Blot, you’ve been following me for some time now, and I’ve noticed your performance.”

“For your excellent performance, I’ve decided to grant you this leader soul to help you break through.”

Upon hearing this, excitement immediately welled up in Blot’s feline eyes!

Clearly, he had been waiting for this day for a long time!

He longed for more powerful strength to take revenge on his enemies!

Blot respectfully accepted it, “In our Black Smoke Legion, a fourth-order leader level Char could hold the position of Civil Protection Officer.”

“In the future, if I can return to the Black Smoke Barrier, I will surely repay Lord’s kindness!”

He solemnly expressed his gratitude to Cao Xing!

[Due to your generous gift, territory member Blot Sulfur Stone’s loyalty has increased.]

[Full loyalty triggered a special effect: Deadly Loyalty.]

…

Cao Xing nodded, while a hint of joy appeared in his heart!

Another subordinate had reached the level of Deadly Loyalty!

Simultaneously, he was also somewhat curious about what new skills the Black Smoke Shaman would acquire after breaking through to the leader level.

Under everyone’s gaze, Blot unhesitatingly pressed the soul into his body.

At the same time.

Black smoke began to billow out from his body.

And start to spread outward.

In no time, roughly a hundred meters surrounding him became shrouded in peculiar black smoke.

Everyone could not see what was happening inside and could only feel a powerful aura continuously rising from within!

The next moment, all the black smoke was absorbed back into Blot’s body.

A system prompt appeared.

[Your territory member Blot Sulfur Stone has successfully transformed into a leader-level creature, basic attributes +30%, learned new skill: Summon Black Mist Lord Igval!]

[Summon Black Mist Lord Igval: Summons a Black Mist Lord with command-level strength of the same tier to assist in battle. The Black Mist Lord possesses ‘Black Mist Tide,’ ‘Black Source Eruption,’ ‘Black Mist Totem,’ and other skills, lasting 60 seconds, with a cooldown time of 1 hour.]

…

Seeing the skill description, Cao Xing was astonished.

“Wow, it can actually summon a commander-level creature?”

At this moment, surprise also appeared in Blot’s eyes.

“With this breakthrough, I unexpectedly tapped into his power.”

Cao Xing looked at him and asked, “Do Black Smoke Shamans have different skills after breaking through to leader level?”

Blot nodded and then explained.

“Based on my previous experience, when we Black Smoke Shamans become leader-level creatures, we activate the Black Mist Totem skill.”

“But, somehow, this time, I unexpectedly formed a connection with that Heroic Spirit.”

“Igval was a powerful Char in our Black Smoke Legion, once the commander of the Seventh Legion.”

“Later, in the war against the Bloody Army, Igval led the army to guard [Shatterclaw City].”

“The enemy was too strong and far more numerous than us, and Igval eventually perished in that siege.”

“This powerful commander was unwilling to die just like that, and before his death, he offered his soul to the Ancestor Totem.”

“The Ancestor Totem is the source of our power in Sal.”
