Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 524 - 233: Sweep Across, the Powerful Destroyer Crossbow Arrow! (6000)_2

“Quick, sound the alarm! Wake up more soldiers and join forces to besiege these people.”

Upon hearing the order, a soldier with cheetah-like legs suddenly dashed toward the doorway.

However, how could Cao Xing let him succeed?

“Hilda, stop him.”

Upon receiving the command, Hilda instantly spat out a spider web.

“Splat!”

The spider web enveloped the soldier in place, adding a layer of blood poison state.

Seeing this, the elite sewn soldier’s face turned anxious.

However, Wally’s nearly three-meter-tall frame had already blocked the door.

Plus, outside, Da Bai, standing six meters tall, completely blocked their escape route.

The space on the first floor of the tower was not large.

The two centaurs also moved their hooves, continuously charging and attacking this group of soldiers!

Faced with the overwhelming strength of Cao Xing and his companions, a large number of soldiers fell one after another.

The battle soon approached its end.

On the field, only one soldier remained, covered in black bear fur, still persisting.

It was the soldier captain.

It was clear that these soldiers were different from the soldier Cao Xing had encountered two days ago.

That soldier was completely in a state of lost reason.

And these soldiers seemed to have their own consciousness; they could follow orders and even think.

Cao Xing quickly understood that this was because of the difference between day and night.

After all, the system notes had mentioned that these soldiers would enter a frenzy state during the day.

Although Cao Xing wanted to capture this elite soldier to investigate the castle’s information,

it was obviously not the right time.

Moreover, since they were already inside, the secrets of this castle would eventually be revealed one by one.

Thus, Cao Xing hurled an [Ice Soul Spinning Spear] over.

“Splat! Splatsplat!”

[-2473]

[-3286!]

[-2589]

…

[You killed the Tamaran Soldier Captain lv40, Fourth Rank Elite Creature, gaining Experience Value: 3200]

[Combat Personnel gained Experience Value: 1600]

…

As the last soldier captain fell, a heap of corpses was left on the ground.

And… the loot that had dropped from them.

Cao Xing had already seen dozens of gray beads among them.

Exactly the [Soul Orbs] he wanted to collect!

In an instant, Cao Xing’s eyes lit up!

Suppressing the excitement in his heart,

Cao Xing said, “Clean up these bodies, pile them together, and find something to cover them.”

After hearing this, everyone began to take action.

As for himself, he quickly went over and picked up everything on the ground.

[Obtained: Tamara Captain Seal (Blue)]

[Obtained: Chaotic Soldier Captain Soul Orb (Blue) *1]

[Obtained: Tamara Soldier Seal (Green) *24]

[Obtained: Chaotic Soldier Soul Orb (Green) *18]

[Obtained: Intermediate Power Heart *6]

[Obtained: Medium Attribute Book *18]

…

“Huh? A blue quality soul orb appeared?”

A slight expression of surprise appeared in Cao Xing’s eyes.

He didn’t check it immediately but started picking up the weapons first.

After all, these were level 30 weapons, and after collecting them, they could be used by his legion.

In addition, there were six intermediate power hearts and over twenty soldier seals.

“Not bad at all, these power hearts saved me 60,000 ice dragon marks.”

“Over twenty soldier seals, just right for the Ascalon soldiers to wear.”

“If there are any leftovers later, they can be sold in the market, since this item has no wearing level.”

“The rewards from killing these sewn soldiers are still substantial.”

Cao Xing nodded contentedly.

Then, he glanced at the attributes of the blue seal.

[Tamara Captain Seal (Blue)]

[Quality: Superior]

[Wearing position: Accessory]

[Attribute: Power+5, Agility+5]

…

As an accessory, its attributes were very strong.

At least, it was much stronger than the accessories Cao Xing currently wore.

However, this item did not enhance spirit, so it was useless to him.

Cao Xing simply gave it to Sarah.

Then, he took another look at the attributes of the blue-grade soul orb.

[Chaotic Soldier Captain Soul Orb (Blue)]

[Description: Fuses the souls of two different races, containing an extremely chaotic consciousness within.]

[Item effect: When used, it causes a strong spiritual shock, with an 80% chance of falling into a chaotic state and permanently decreasing spiritual attribute by 15 points, with a 20% chance of increasing spirit by 15 points or power by 15 points]

[Remaining uses: 10/10]

…

Cao Xing was startled, “It has 5 more attributes than the green soul orb.”

“And the most important thing is, its usage times are independent of the green soul orb.”

“With 10 usages, even if luck is bad and most increases are in power, it could still add at least sixty to seventy spirit attributes!”

Cao Xing instantly realized how powerful the effect of this item was!

Moreover, he discovered something else.

Not only this [Soul Orb], but the attributes added by other soul orbs weren’t fixed either.

Some increased power or constitution, others increased agility or power.

After pondering for a while, Cao Xing understood the reason behind it.

It might be related to the beasts these soldiers had merged with.

For example—

If a soldier fused with bear genes, the soul orb’s attributes would increase spirit and power.

If they merged with wolf genes, the soul orb might increase power and agility.

Therefore, when distributing [Soul Orbs], Cao Xing had to check each one’s attributes before proceeding with the allocation.
