Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 376 - 188: Increase in Survival Difficulty, The Four Major Legions of District 174_3

Qiu Yating, “The New Continent Army is recruiting! We also have 18 Second Order powerhouses, and under my command is an elite third-tier warrior, enough to easily handle the current phase of the Ice Nest.”

At present, there were only four legions in Sector 174.

After all, at this phase, establishing a legion was quite difficult.

To Cao Xing’s surprise, Qiu Yating was still alive and had even founded a legion.

Since last exiting the Witch Forest, he had never been in contact with her.

Cao Xing thought to himself, “Interesting!”

“It seems they gained some opportunities in the Witch Forest and already have an elite third-tier subordinate.”

“I just don’t know whether she has completed the mission she mentioned.”

However, this did not relate to Cao Xing at all.

Although a third-tier elite was powerful, it was insignificant compared to the strength of Cao Xing’s territory.

Sending out a Wild Boar Warrior would be enough to deal with.

At the same time, seeing the recruitment information of those legions, Survivors below raised a series of questions.

Zheng Yan, “Brother Wu Xinghu, how do we join your Ice Tiger legion? I am a Second Order Mechanic, with two Second Order warriors under my command, and wish to join your territory.”

Feng Yu, “Yeah, everyone’s territories are too far apart. If I join your legion, how do I get to your territory?”

Wu Xinghu replied, “No need to worry about the distance! Once you join the legion, survivors of the same faction traveling to another legion’s territory will receive a 10% move speed bonus.

“Moreover, as the legion level increases, the move speed bonus increases as well.”

“If the distance is really too far, we will build Legion Transport Vehicles in due time, allowing mutual visits.”

“Also, even if you join the legion, it doesn’t mean you have to give up your own territory. You can still develop at your own pace.”

“The purpose of the legion is to unite everyone and better allocate resources.”

Hearing this, other Survivors immediately inquired, “Brother Wu Xinghu, if we join your legion, do we have to hand over all resources from our territory? What do we get out of it?”

“Right, right, other than visiting territories of the same faction, what are the benefits of joining a legion?”

Wu Xinghu explained, “As mentioned above, there are two development models after joining the legion.”

“The first option is to bring everyone to my legion’s headquarters, which is my territory.”

“In this way, you need to hand over all resources, and people’s command will be unified under me.”

“The benefit is you won’t have to worry about the development of the territory or the safety issues caused by Ice Nest Monsters.”

“The downside is losing your own territory.”

“The second option is to continue developing your territory as before, and I will have the authority to view your basic material, but can only mobilize up to 40% of your resources.”

“However, I promise that once you join the Ice Tiger Legion, I will never privately use your resources and will allocate some materials to other territories according to contributions and urgency, to achieve joint development.”

After Wu Xinghu finished, he immediately received a lot of support.

Many Survivors decided to join the Ice Tiger Legion.

A level-1 legion could accommodate up to 100 territories, and if resources were reasonably allocated,

The development of their territories would accelerate rapidly.

Of course, some people also joined Zhou Bo’s Sky Blade Army.

Even Qiu Yating’s New Continent Army recruited over thirty people.

The heated discussions in the chat channel easily caught the attention of Survivors.

In the Lord’s Hut, Liu Muxue softly asked, “Axing, don’t we need to form a legion?”

Cao Xing shook his head.

“Not needed for now.”

“To develop the territory, apart from requiring population, resources are even more essential.”

“Currently, we lack neither of these; we only need to maintain the present development pace.”

The main reason was that Cao Xing thought managing more people would become troublesome.

Hearing Cao Xing’s explanation, Liu Muxue understood and nodded.

“Let’s go, Muxue, we need to get up.”

“Okay…”

Soon, the two pushed open the door of the Lord’s Hut.

Because the development pace of Cao Xing’s territory remained the same as yesterday,

The subjects automatically started working as soon as they woke up.

Mining continued mining, logging continued logging.

Cao Xing did not even need to give further instructions.

However, a group of people still waited outside the territory.

Old Mel and Du An led a group of Polar People, paying respectful homage to Cao Xing.

After the customary greetings,

Cao Xing asked, “Mr. Mel, is there something?”

Old Mel nodded, a look of pleasure on his face.

“Lord, as per your instructions, I have collected all the hair from the 19 Cloud Yaks. Please have a look.”

Upon hearing this, Cao Xing showed interest.

Once processed, he could make self-heating clothes with these!

He quickly glanced at the blue-white hair in Old Mel’s hand.

[Cloud Yak Hair: Special Material]

[Material trait: Thermal energy storage (can store absorbed thermal energy in hair, releasing it slowly)]

[Remaining use period: 12 years]

(Tip: If the hair stops producing heat, place it near a stove or other heat source for a period to reabsorb thermal energy and restore its heating function.)

Seeing these details, a look of enlightenment appeared in Cao Xing’s eyes.

Though Cloud Yak Hair could store thermal energy, it couldn’t provide heat indefinitely.

As magic power dissipated, it would gradually lose its vitality.

However, twelve years of usage was already long enough.

Cao Xing put all the hair collected by Old Mel into his backpack.

[Gained: Cloud Yak Hair*22.84KG]

“Not bad, not bad!”

“With nearly 23 kilograms of hair, several fur coats can be made.”

Cao Xing stated with satisfaction, “Mr. Mel, you worked hard.”

“These hairs greatly benefited the territory.”

Mel nodded respectfully before retreating.

Then Du An approached.

Reporting, “Lord, as per your instructions, we have upgraded the Alchemy Workshop to an intermediate level, and the Medical Room has also been built.”

“Additionally, we upgraded the Polar People Hut to level 5. Would you like to inspect it?”

Hearing this, Cao Xing was momentarily stunned.

“The Polar People Hut is upgraded to level 5?”

His gaze went to the three-meter-high, single-story stone building next to the Lord’s Hut at once.

[Polar People Hut: Level 5]

[Building function: Can summon Polar People to work for you by consuming food.]

[Land area: 60 square meters]

[Maximum recruitment: 8/20 people]

[Required for upgrading to level 6: Level 6 Lord Mansion, Stone*500, Wood*300, Iron*200, Fine Iron*100, Intermediate Elemental Crystal*10]
