Chapter 1401: Child of Spite

Shin stared down as Suho chuckled and slammed down punches on him. The Patriarch chuckled and spouted truly delusional nonsense, well except if they really were true. But on a much personal opinion, the Kageyama Clan that he met did not hold candle to what he had expected from what had always been usually said about them.

If there was anything that was quite interesting and worthy of acknowledging the Kageyama clan in fact, that would be the Canyon that prevented people from entering their territory, it was a mystery how the clans of assassins usually stepped in and out of their territory, of course, there was not a single entry to the kageyama, but had history not said that the older patriarchs of the Kageyama Clan put those creatures there and allowed them to start multiplying.

So the Kageyama clan, Suho had led it to I ruins a long time ago. Maybe not Suho but the former Patriarch, right when Shin lost control under his regime and sabotaged a lot of his missions by doing what he was not asked to do in order to completely tarnish the reputation of the Kageyama Clan.

That act of defiance, itself was what must have started to lead the clan to its damnation.

The only pitiful side was that, Shin’s mistake too, was here... to catch up with him.

’What a complicated weave of family did I find myself in?’

Both his adopted and his original, Northern didn’t even know which one was better.

’I think I know that answer clear and well. Shin and Eisha didn’t at least try to kill me.’

”Arrggghhh!!!” The Patriarch let out an excruciating groan.

He sounded like he was the one in more pain even though it was Shin that was laying on the ground with a bloodied face.

Shin struggled to speak, so his words only came out in mutters.

”I’m... sorry...”

”I’m... sorry...”

They were the only words he could manage to utter in this stare.

”You’re sorry? Sorry? Will you tell her sorry too? You’ll tell her sorry because she was only a result an act of defiance by you?!”

He stood up and grabbed Shin by the air and drew him towards where Eisha, Raven and Northern stood.

Eisha stood there, holding her hand and hiding it. But beneath the calm front, she was trembling greatly but amazingly she wasn’t moving and at the same time wasn’t looking at Shin’s face, she couldn’tt bare too.

Meanwhile Suho crackled with demented laughter.

”Are you listening to him!” He said as he headed towards Raven.

She flinched again but stayed in place this time around.

”He said he’s sorry that you were a mistake! He’s sorry because you were only damn thing that came out of a wretch whom he not only killed her husband who was the sole target of his mission but also raped her, to sow the seed of Kageyama in her which by all great standard was a great blemish on the Kageyama Clan.”

He burst out laughing and shaking his head.

”Speaking of blemishes” He glared down at Shin, ”This one here is not the only blemish you have brought to our clan Shin! That daughter of yours she—”

The words suddenly seized in the Patriarch’s throat.

Northern was upon him and he had no idea when, what he knew was there there was a hand around his neck, funnily enough, it wasn’t Northern’s.

Northern was standing in front of him with a cold glow in his almost starry eyes.

The hand wrapped so tightly around him that he began to struggle to breath and he was slowly being raised away from the ground.

”If you know what’s good for you, do well to not even bring my daughter to your mouth. I swear I’ll sever your tongue.”

Eisha said and released him, letting him crumble to the ground, coughing.

Then she stepped back with her expression cooling already.

’Looks like she needed to get that out. I’m glad she did.’

Eisha seemed to have been holding in her anger and pain since Shin himself asked for this. This was the best opportunity to let out any bit of that anger and pain.

Asides from the fact that she would’ve loved decapitating him for making mention of her daughter. Lucky for Suho, he didn’t utter her name.

She turned to Raven and then lowered herself to her knees.

”Regardless of what the Patriarch had said, what he had said is true. Your real father is not the Patriarch, it’s this man here.” Her gaze drifted towards Shin who was already trying to get up and spitting blood.

Raven’s brows were knitted with confusion, she turned her gaze to Shin and then to Eisha, but didn’t bother to look at the Patriarch who was coughing like he wanted to get something out of his throat.

”I’m sorry... this man... is who?”

”The elder brother of the Patriarch, by all means too... your father.”

Raven, stood straight, her frame had gone perfectly still.

”And he raped my mother...”

She paused, looking at Shin and then at Eisha.

”...out of spite... and my mother also gave birth to me, out of spite to the kageyama clan.”

She chuckled dryly.

Then the next thing, she lowered herself to a crouch, and simply her hair, squeezing it upward as if she was wrenching out a world ending scream. But Raven was absolutely silent.

Even Northern didn’t know what she was going to choose to do. Her reaction so far had been somewhat unexpected, at this point, he could expect anything.

The cave was silent as Raven was also silent.

Then suddenly the air in the cave changed, causing Northern’s expression to darken.

Raven slowly stood up, there was an obsidian sword with gold glow across the edges of the blade, its handles were handled with gold and ancient obsidian steel.

’Here we go.’

Raven looked at Eisha and asked:

”And who are you to him?”

Eisha glanced at Northern for a moment before she answered.

”His... his wife.”

Raven dropped her gaze for a moment, looking at Shin, then her hands tightened around the hilt of her sword.

”I see...”

With a hurricane of darkness, Raven lunged...
